10/08/2025: Last night we had dinner at this very cute and charming restaurant, a table surrounded by olive trees in a very characteristic little square in Albenga. It's a shame the amatriciana wasn't up to par; it seemed to be made with tomato paste, so my husband didn't eat it. The rabbit was passable, but overcooked and overcooked. Extremely expensive, and very poor value for money.

16/09/2025: If you want to eat delicious pasta, this is definitely a must. We had the trofie pesto pasta, the taggiatelle with meat sauce, and the tomato salad, and everything was truly delicious. It's not very busy in September, though. So the two of us sat in an empty garden. But they can't control that.

13/09/2025: I visited Rattopenugo with a dear friend after hearing great things about it. Expectations were high, but I must say they were even exceeded. The restaurant is located in the heart of Albenga's historic center, in the city's most beautiful square, with a picturesque view of the church and the recently restored medieval towers. The atmosphere is simple yet elegant, with the option of outdoor seating right in the main square, a setting that makes the experience even more special. The service is impeccable: the waiters are quick and friendly, but what really makes the difference is Lorenzo, the owner. He's a delightful person, able to immediately understand his guests' needs and recommend not only the dishes, but also the perfect wine and beverage pairings. We started by sharing a plate of fresh homemade tagliolini with anchovy and bottarga sauce: simply extraordinary, both for the texture of the pasta and the richness and intensity of the sauce. Next, two incredibly fresh fish, caught the day before, cooked to perfection and with an unmistakable flavor. We loved it so much that, instead of dessert, we opted for another pasta dish, accompanied by a second bottle of wine. A true triumph of flavor! In short, an exceptional experience. I think it's the best restaurant I've been to in Albenga and one of the best I've ever tried. Superb quality at a fair price. Highly recommended!

20/09/2025: A charming residence! The residence isn't huge, but it's very well-maintained, clean, and quiet. We stayed in a split-level studio apartment, with the bedroom on the mezzanine floor. I was worried the ceilings might be low, but instead, the entire apartment is airy and well-furnished. Our bedroom window overlooked the pool, but we also had a view of the sea. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful. They even included a beach umbrella in the price. Pool umbrellas and loungers are always included. The restaurant is also excellent, offering pizza, Ligurian specialties (the fried anchovies are excellent), and even Thai cuisine. Highly recommended for those seeking tranquility and relaxation.

23/08/2025: A table of seven, we order pizzas. Aside from the interminable wait, they bring the wrong pizza. It can happen, but no apology, no offer to replace it, no discount. We won't be returning.

26/08/2025: Very good pizzas. They offer various sizes and flavors, from single to quadruple. The gluten-free pizza is also very good. The night I dined at this pizzeria, they had run out of single dough, so some friends had to agree to split double and quadruple doughs.

23/08/2025: Really good! We all ordered pizza. The waitress was really nice and the pizza came in about 15 minutes or so. The pizza was delicious. Perfect if you want to try the delicious pizza of Italy!!

The balance of flavors was perfect: the truffle did not overpower, but elegantly enhanced each dish. Highly recommended for those seeking authentic, creative cuisine deeply rooted in the local area. I will definitely return.
