24/09/2025: Unfortunately, it didn't go very well. To get a pesto, they ask you too many questions and try to sell you something else. A final tip: add the pesto to the pasta and mix it together. Truly worthy of applause.

13/09/2025: I've never had such a tasteless pesto; margarine was missing from the ingredients. If you're expecting a Ligurian flavor, it's completely lacking here. No flavor at all. For the price, I expected much better.

23/07/2025: Despite the negative reviews and comments about cleanliness, after going twice, I can't say enough good things about it! Excellent value for money, truly excellent kebab! I recommend trying the kebab! Regarding the place, honestly, it felt homey, warm, and friendly. I didn't find any signs of dirtiness like others say. Highly recommended!

13/09/2025: The pizza was excellent, but the drinks were unfortunately too expensive. Draft beer (Peroni) 0.4 L = 6 euros, I think they're trying to rip off foreigners, but the price isn't listed on the menu.

07/08/2025: We ordered takeout pizzas, and I have to say they were friendly from the moment I walked in. They weren't exactly the friendliest, but they were always available. First thing to say: they had a wood-fired oven. The dough was soft and well-worked, and the flavor was excellent. The ingredients also seemed high-quality. They cooked for a minute less, perhaps, but in the end, it was really good. Price-wise, it's average.

08/06/2025: Ci siamo recati qui per una cena in famiglia. Eravamo stati già qualche altra volta ma questa è stata memorabile. Abbiamo ordinato degli antipasti arrivati abbastanza celermente e poi per un’ora abbiamo atteso i primi e i piatti di fritto misto. Abbiamo chiesto notizie alle varie cameriere e nel frattempo annullato una grigliata per non dover attendere ancora altri piatti. Quando arrivata la pasta al pesto era gommosa, insipida e sostanzialmente immangiabile Abbiamo avanzato i due piatti ordinati mentre il fritto misto era oleoso, poco salato e gommoso anch’esso. Il servizio inoltre è approssimativo e poco puntuale. Non si può attendere un’ora dall’antipasto ai piatti caldi. Abbiamo aspettato invano che venisse qualcuno al tavolo per sparecchiare e chiederci se volevamo dolce o caffè anche per far vedere che il cibo era tutto avanzato, ma nessuno si è avvicinato se non quando ormai stavamo andando a pagare. Non siamo persone che vogliono creare problemi ma con un tavolo in cui solo uno dei 5 piatti caldi era stato mangiato parzialmente, avrebbero dovuto farci uno sconto. Invece abbiamo pagato più di 200€. La qualità è peggiorata e il servizio non è per niente professionale. Mai più!!!

24/09/2025: I'll start by saying that, having a house in Alassio, I know every place in town very well, including the historic Balzola. Unfortunately, for years now, I've felt the value for money was completely lost. A Spritz + Crodino was €13, and no receipt. This would be fine. Unfortunately, the Spritz on top was the worst I've ever had. In my sad opinion, a place that now remains iconic only for its location.

12/09/2025: Breakfast with cappuccino and a croissant with raspberry jam for €4.50!!! The outside area was not clean and there were no napkins. Cappuccino served in vintage cups, but not the right size for a cappuccino, so basically just foam (€2.50). At the checkout, a "guy" who treats customers in an insolent manner... What a shame! But why is it that the worst product always has a higher price than those who do a good job and charge a fair price?

02/09/2025: Yesterday morning, my partner and I stopped by for breakfast. I have to say, it was truly excellent: a slice of apple pie and cappuccino, a brioche with Nutella filling made on the spot, and coffee...all strictly homemade. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and we'll definitely be back.

27/08/2025: I confirm the previous comments: €5 juice, I would dare to add with oranges from the greengrocer NEXT door as they were on their way to buy more (short distance, so all in all); not to mention the rudeness. They don't see me anymore.

13/09/2025: Very nice atmosphere. The food would be good, but €26 for spaghetti on a bed of shellfish, without even a hint of shellfish, is way too much. I was expecting a rich seafood pasta, but instead it was pasta with a red sauce, seafood flavor. I pointed out that the menu was misleading, but the waitress's response was first surprised that there were no shellfish, and then she told me that's normal, it's just sauce. I'm sorry, but I won't be back.

06/09/2025: In my opinion, this place isn't worth much. The only two dishes that are worth saving are the ravioli al plin and the Tomahawk. The price for a bottle of water is €5! Their "recommended" dish is the Picanha: I couldn't cut it or eat it because it was too hard, and it arrived cold. As for desserts: the selection is really limited (this evening there were only two). The service is too slow. We came in at 8:00 PM and left at 11:30 PM after ordering only two dishes (I should point out that the place wasn't full). The place is nice, charming, and clean. Conclusion: if you want to pay an average price of €50-60 per person, eat in a nice place, but wait hours for dishes that aren't worth the price listed on the menu, then... this place is for you.

26/04/2025: It was an experience that no one should have to try, first of all we had booked for 8.30 and they gave our table to another family making us wait outside so that one could be freed inside. Mostly this table was behind the counter and therefore lost from the others, we sat down and saw the menu which was nice but a little poor, we had to wait 40 minutes before a waiter came to take our order. As soon as we ordered we had to wait 1 hour and 30 minutes before they came to our table, mostly we hadn't even ordered something impossible, a plate of trofie with pesto which was missing salt, a mixed fry which they gave to another lady and 3 pizzas.

18/08/2025: The staff only speaks Italian, there is no translation of the menu cards into another language. The ordered dish was served without rice, although it was indicated when ordering.

17/08/2025: Nice restaurant with a wide selection of Chinese, Japanese, and Thai cuisine. The Thai noodles, sushi, and Chinese dishes are excellent; the spring rolls and steamed dumplings aren't as good, but two dishes out of everything I ate isn't average... The portions aren't overly generous, but they're perfect for an all-you-can-eat experience. Good value for money. The staff is friendly, courteous, and very attentive to customer needs. I'll definitely be back.

03/12/2025: The food was quite good. The waitstaff was a bit slow on the uptake, but quite nice. Why the male waiter had to wear swim trunks, however, remains a mystery to me. Everything seems a bit more neglected than it did a few years ago. Unfortunately! Update: It's still far too loud in this pizzeria. The dark-haired owner could easily be a prison warden, she's so unfriendly and loud. Furthermore, they don't give a receipt after paying... unacceptable! I've been to this pizzeria several times and can say that the other guests are very unkempt and loud. Some even put their phones on while eating. No manners whatsoever!

17/09/2025: Frosty reception for poor spoken Italian on the phone to order takeaway pizzas. Accused of not speaking Italian well enough!! Requested a sachet of hot oil for the pizzas while showing a sachet of sugar on the counter to try to make myself understood... incomprehension from the waitress who said but that's sugar!! In short, never again, even if the pizzas weren't bad

01/05/2025: Abbiamo prenotato per le 20:30, alle 21:00 il tavolo non era nemmeno pronto. Il servizio é di una lentezza insopportabile. Ci sediamo e... . attesa biblica per 2 pizze... Per il primo boccone siamo arrivati alle 21:50!!!, mentre con flemma da domenica mattina appena svegli le ragazze del servizio procedevano incuranti fra I tavoli. La pizza di per sé é particolare, fine a bordi molto alti, gusto ok, prezzo medio alto 13/15 euro. Soddisfa abbastanza per il costo, ma attenzione, bordo con porcini, sta per all'interno del bordo ci metto una cremina che sa di porcini. Dolce, non pervenuto, nel senso non me avevano se non panna cotta... e.... Ops, problema tecnico, potuto pagare solo contanti, niente carte.In generale, grazie, pago, e non torno
