23/08/2025: A truly welcoming establishment, with a very friendly owner who explained the various amenities in the area to us. The room was clean, and the breakfast buffet was very generous for a 2-star hotel. Excellent parking, and there's even a spare one (in case the first one is full). The hotel itself also has a bar with a tobacconist and a ticket office for the bus that takes you down to Framura and various nearby places. There's also an excellent restaurant below the hotel with divine food. We'll be back.

13/08/2025: ...I'm sorry to read reviews from a year ago that describe poor, or even non-existent, service! Unfortunately, I checked it out for myself last night! The pizza is very good, so much so that I always choose you as my pizzeria, but I have to say that last night we hit the peak! 70 minutes for two at a pizzeria seems a bit excessive to me! And unfortunately, I witnessed several people who were annoyed and left the table even though they had already received a drink! ...My sincere advice, given that this has been going on for a year now, perhaps it would be time to review the organization and management of the service! I'm very sorry, but perhaps you should take into account the many negative reviews! What a shame! This doesn't help!

20/08/2025: I found this bakery/pastry shop by chance. They were about to close, but they were incredibly helpful and served me despite a large order of about 40 pastries that were closing! The cream puffs and Sachertorte were delicious; they saved my evening!

27/07/2025: An incredible experience in Marina di Carrara. Located in an area away from the city center, it's less chaotic. The interior is cozy and refined, in a Japanese style. The menu offers culinary experiences with varying numbers of courses, featuring both cooked and raw dishes, inspired by the chef's creativity—a plus, especially for those like us who are inexperienced with à la carte dishes. It's nothing short of a Michelin-starred restaurant. Top-quality ingredients expertly prepared. The attention to detail is meticulous in the service. We'll be back to try other dishes.

24/08/2025: Worst restaurant EVER! Avoid! Let me sum it up for you: 1) They are scammers, and, 2) They are rude beyond belief. The first part. It seems they have some sort of kickback arrangement with WalkAbout Tours of Florence (which we were with that day) about offering a fixed menu of €17,50 (drinks NOT included). What was included was an “appetizer” course of 5 extra-thin prosciutto and salami slices, and the main course of a tiny portion of the most overcooked pasta with pesto I’ve ever eaten. Needless to say, I was still hungry after. So far, everything can be excused, brushed under the carpet, in the name of having a memorable day. Right? But what came next was unbelievable. After climbing those 382 steps to reach Corniglia in the raging August sun, I was sweaty. So, on arrival at the restaurant, I took a cloth napkin from an unoccupied table to dry myself. No big deal, yes? Wrong. As soon as the lady manager noticed it was missing, her expression darkened. When I saw it, I could swear I felt her medication stop working. On the spot, she barked orders to the personnel to start looking for it. After coming back from the WC, my partner told me that on finding the napkin at my seat, the manageress grilled her about me taking it, that the cloth napkins were exclusively for paying guests (as if we didn’t pay), etc. etc. My reaction was to tell the manageress that I’d give them a very bad review, and her response was to shower me with the best that Italy has to offer in curse words and profanity. Napkin Restaurant, worst experience of our trip. I’m only sorry there isn’t a Zero score I could use for this review.

23/08/2025: My boyfriend and I came to dinner at the restaurant, which was recommended to us by the manager of the Airbnb we were staying at. I want to point out that I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I feel it's necessary sometimes, which was the case here. From start to finish, and with every waiter/waitress we interacted with (three people), we felt like we were bothering the staff. And YET we were polite, saying hello and thank you in Italian, as much as possible so as not to appear rude, even though we don't speak Italian. That's not enough; I think only Italian regulars are actually properly greeted. The waiters were unfriendly to us and terribly nonchalant. We were ignored at the checkout while we were waiting to pay, before being let go without even looking at us, "Just a moment, please." The receipt was THROWED at us on the counter like a common handkerchief. And let's talk about the price... €46 for two primi torfie with pesto, a glass of wine, and a lemon soda. I'm still giving it two stars because, to be honest, the meal was very good and the view is magnificent. But that's not enough to compensate for not feeling welcome. If you hate foreigners, just refuse to welcome them; it'll be easier.

20/07/2025: I spent an exorbitant amount of money on what I ate, even though I'd been there before and had a good meal. What a rip-off! I'll never go back, and I don't recommend it to anyone who wants to go.

25/04/2025: Very pleasant stop for lunch: caesar salad and salmon salad, caramelized onion top! The wine is excellent. Simple but clean service. We will definitely be back!
