03/06/2025: La ubicación es agradable. A pesar de que hice una reserva dos semanas antes de que nos sentáramos en una mesa bajo el sol, pedimos también sentarse en una mesa cercana, pero nos dijeron que es una mesa para tres. Pocos minutos después una pareja sin ninguna reserva se sentó allí. La señora gerente / propietario a cargo era muy grosero y desagradable. El servicio y la comida eran promedio, la relación calidad-precio era baja, incluso para Portofino.

27/05/2025: Después de dos comidas anteriores decepcionantes en Portofino, buscamos el restaurante más inteligente con el menú más imaginativo, en una ubicación fabulosa, para disfrutar realmente de nuestra última noche en este hermoso pueblo. O’Magazin marcó todas las casillas y nos sentamos junto al agua con personal amable, buen vino (a 20€ por copa) y una deliciosa cesta de pan con aceite. Estábamos emocionados de que nuestra comida llegara. Y entonces los buenos tiempos terminaron. Tal vez deberíamos haber adivinado cuando no nos preguntaron cómo se cocinaría el bistec. El filete llegó nadando en una cantidad ridícula de salsa y acompañado de nada ni siquiera adorno. Así que rápidamente pedimos un poco de fritas que llegaron rápidamente y apenas cubrieron el fondo del plato. El filete estaba tan duro que raspamos la salsa para mirarlo y estaba gris, casi nacarado. Con retrospectiva deberíamos haber enviado de vuelta, pero en realidad estábamos tratando de tener una experiencia gastronómica satisfactoria. Mis propios medallones de atún también fueron asfixiados en salsa / aceite con tomates y aceitunas. El atún estaba demasiado cocido y había reposado demasiado tiempo antes de ser servido. Ninguno de los dos hizo ningún progreso con nuestra comida y pagó la cuenta y se fue. El personal sonriente y alegre y la hermosa ubicación no compensaron la peor comida que he encontrado. La factura era escandalosa con frituras a 12€ por persona. Acepto que debería haberme quejado mientras estaba en el restaurante, pero la mala comida en Portofino me había desgastado. Al día siguiente la ciudad se redimió en Portofino Bistro, casi al lado de O’Magazin y estoy feliz de darle una crítica fabulosa.

27/08/2025: A historic yet renovated shop, offering excellent focaccia and baked goods. They also offer packaged convenience store items, wines, and spirits. They've been a Portofino favorite for generations, and deserve a visit and a taste of their iconic focaccia!

30/07/2025: Focaccia from the day before at the very least. Terrible coffee, grapefruit juice the only acceptable option. Chairs black with dirt.

21/07/2025: Worst pizza (frozen) I've ever had for €20! Obviously, the prices in Portofino are a bit higher, which didn't bother me at the time, but selling a pizza like that is outrageous. An Aperol Spritz for €18 is expensive, but it's okay for such an atmosphere right on the main square. Tables aren't cleared (only after payment); the wait staff prefer to stand around.

30/07/2025: CoverCharge to sit down not even mentioned? Hidden charges....This is a RipOff bad example of a place to visit. Go elsewhere as we had to $5 glasses of wine which is all we wanted and made us buy Caprese. Over $100 Euro. Charged $12 cover charge per person & a 10% tip on the cover charge, LOL, plus other fees. We basically paid $100 Euro for two glasses of wine & bread. Bad experience for Portofino

26/08/2025: One star, not so much for the price, which is still outrageous (€7 for a small cone), but we're in Portofino, so we expected it. However, for that price, I expect the gelato to be at least good, if not exceptional. Instead, the gelato is mediocre; the pistachio flavor we ordered tasted like fior di latte.

29/07/2025: One medium (scoop-sized) ice cream in a cone costs €9. That says it all.

09/09/2025: A terrible mess. To say "price doesn't match the quality" is like saying nothing at all. The pizza was reheated in the microwave, hot on the edges, and served cold inside. The waiters don't speak English very well. When I asked for the pizza to be reheated, the lady got offended. The ham and pesto toast—the cheese was melted, the ham was cold inside, also tasteless. "I don't recommend it" is an understatement. It's a money-making machine with no quality whatsoever. It's better to go hungry.

23/08/2025: The restaurant is now called Fabio Portofino. We ordered "trofie pesto" and it was delicious.

24/08/2025: We ordered a takeaway pizza here. + The pizza was really delicious, contrary to other reviews here. + The pizza dough was well-cooked and cooked through, nice and crispy but not too dark. + The restroom was clean. - The pizza was very small. - We had to pay a table fee even though we ordered takeaway. - The pizza had meager toppings.
