06/09/2025: Found it by chance, on a Monday, when all the restaurants are closed. Almost by chance because I also double-check the reviews, but I don't look at the positive ones, but the negative ones. Over time, I've learned to spot the fake ones simply because the customer waited a few minutes or even a quarter of an hour and got annoyed. Personally, I believe that a restaurant is also a place to spend time, and if the food is excellent, even if you wait, you enjoy it even more. If you want cafeteria-style service, in Viterbo there's the Conad bistro, which is truly excellent—and I'm not kidding! But back to the restaurant. Beyond the courtesy and cleanliness, what struck me was the quality of the food, especially the mussels, for example. For the first time in many years, I've found them free of that bitter aftertaste, which perhaps indicates not a lack of quality but rather a lack of careful cleaning of the shells and fish that wasn't purged in clean water. Let's not forget that mollusks are "filters." And what about the fried food? Nothing, nothing, just one word: delicate! And I'd add dry and fried in fresh oil. And I'll stop there because the rest is truly a surprise! I'll be back soon to try the rest of the menu. It's not "extra long," which is a good thing, but it's very inviting. Best wishes to the staff and chefs: well done, keep it up!

02/09/2025: We spent €72 for two, eating a first course each, a second course each, water, and half a glass of local white wine. I'd say it's a bit high, considering they didn't give us a receipt. First and last time.

26/08/2025: The food is as good as at many other places, and considering the service, I wouldn't go back. Ultimately, eating out should be a pleasure... if the waiter serving you makes you feel like he's doing you a favor, something's wrong. Generally, the people working there (and I dare say quite a few) aren't the most welcoming, but being told (rather than go to the kitchen to inquire) that I should choose a different dish because they "didn't know" whether the one I ordered contained an ingredient I didn't like is ridiculous! The smug, arrogant expression of "get something else" has no justification whatsoever. I absolutely don't recommend it!

27/07/2025: Partiamo dalle cose buone. Organizzazione ottima, cameriere cortesi e servizio veloce. E qui ci fermiamo. Perché non so cosa mangia chi ha lasciato recensioni entusiaste ma ho mangiato meglio in alberghi a due stelle a Viserbella. Cibo fatto per la quantità ma non per la qualità. Insalata di polpo completamente insapore, le patate addirittura gelate di frigo, sale non pervenuto. Non mi sono neanche azzardata ad andare oltre i primi, ho mangiato meglio in tante tavole calde. Esperienza da non ripetere. Peccato perché ci ero stata in passato e avevo mangiato molto meglio e il posto merita. Non torneremo sicuramente.

10/09/2025: Definitely a place to return to. Well-prepared food, satisfactory service. Just one piece of advice: when diners are seated, it's good manners to hand them the menus promptly. A quarter of an hour might be too long.

19/07/2025: This pastry shop and café is conveniently located, offering plenty of parking nearby. In warmer weather, the large terrace is perfect for relaxing al fresco. The pastries are excellent; I particularly enjoyed the whole-wheat croissants and the chilled mineral water, both still and sparkling, is available to customers. The staff is very friendly.

06/09/2025: Very beautiful location, especially at sunset. The outdoor seating is covered. The staff seems welcoming (with a few minor exceptions). A bit confusing about the wine list; the waiter wasn't sure what was available by the glass. The trifle was very good!

03/09/2025: During our week-long vacation in the Viterbo area, we dined twice at this excellent seafood restaurant (both lake and sea). The menu is varied, with fresh, well-prepared ingredients. The waiters are friendly and attentive, and the prices are fair considering the quality of the ingredients. Reservations are recommended, as despite the large number of tables, the restaurant is always crowded! What can we say about the view of Lake Bolsena and the fantastic sunsets you can admire? Simply stunning! Definitely worth a visit!

28/06/2025: Abbiamo trascorso tre giorni bellissimi presso questo Resort. La camera era molto ampia e ben arredata, con vista lago che mostrava al tramonto uno scenario ineguagliabile !! La Signora molto gentile e sempre attenta nei confronti del cliente, la colazione ottima e posizionata in una sala con panorama stupendo. Da tenere presente se dovessimo ritornare in quelle zone.

17/06/2025: The setting is spectacular, the food excellent and the service kind and warm. It is not a classic hotel, it feels more like going to stay at a friend’s house. The hotel is an old building from the 50 which got rescued. And offers the most stunning lake views. I went on my own while exploring the twisty roads between Lazio Umbria and Tuscany. I stumbled on il Caminetto after having failed to secure accommodation in Montefiascone. The hotel is quiet and has plenty of shaded parking if you are travelling by bike. I will! definitely come back
