10/11/2025: A last-minute family lunch. We arrived at 2:40 PM and were greeted with great courtesy and professionalism. Both the amatriciana and gricia were wonderful. Excellent service. Chef Gabriele Perilli and the entire staff were incredibly friendly.

03/11/2025: First of all, I spent four days—and I repeat, four days—calling this restaurant on the cell phone number listed, without ever receiving an answer or a callback. Four of us left Rome and arrived there at 1:00 PM, continuing to call, but nothing. When we arrived at the restaurant, we entered, and no one—and I mean no one—came to greet us or greet us. I had to flag down a waiter, who asked us if we had reservations. When we said no, he told us to wait a moment while we were seated. After a twenty-minute wait, a woman arrived and asked us again if we had reservations. We explained that we had been trying to call for days, but her response was that "they don't pay much attention to the phone" and that we had to leave because there were only two waiters and they couldn't handle everything. I've never faced a situation like this in my life. No more news from the waiter who was supposed to seat us. Luckily, we were welcomed by the restaurant across the street—named after the capital—where they treated us wonderfully. Be careful: they don't answer the phone, they don't take reservations, and if you go in person, they'll make you wait only to turn you away. It happened to me and three other families. Don't trust YouTube; the simplicity and friendliness of this restaurant doesn't exist.

22/11/2025: The new place is very welcoming, today I had lunch with friends to taste the classic gricia (extraordinary) and amatriciana. Outside there was a hint of a timid snowfall... Impeccable service

05/10/2025: We went to Ma Tru in Amatrice and had a truly wonderful time! We chose the tasting menu to try both the gricia and the amatriciana, both exceptional with authentic flavors and generous portions. The arrosticini were also excellent, tender and well-cooked. The waiter was very kind and helpful, and the service overall was impeccable. A highly recommended place, in a welcoming atmosphere!

22/09/2025: Trattoria in the countryside, located high above Lake Scandarello - a very green and easygoing atmosphere, a quiet place for a "slow life." Fast and efficient service, friendly staff. Cool interior, pleasant outdoor tables (with a light breeze) in the shade, near the greenery. The fried coratella and zucchini were very tasty and plentiful. Excellent and plentiful homemade ravioli - with meat sauce. Tender and flavorful lamb, very good both in the fried breadcrumb version and in the grilled version. The mixed roast was a bit dry, not as good as the rest. Good bill: €69 for three for a full meal (without dessert), including wine. Fair and fair prices, considering the more than generous portions.

14/10/2025: Honestly, it seemed expensive to me: a bottle of beer, a mixed fried dish, 4 olives, 5 cremini, 2 plates of pasta, 55 euros, and then, honestly, I've eaten better, the matriciana and the gricia weren't that great.

19/11/2025: Always the best in amatriciana and everything else. Incredible appetizers, super filling and all delicious. If you've never tried them, you absolutely have to try them. The fried focaccia, the freshly warm ricotta. The coratella, the cured meats and pecorino cheeses. Truly a must-try if you're passing through Amatrice!

05/11/2025: A restaurant where you can savor the authentic flavors of Amatrice. Spacious indoor and outdoor spaces. Suitable for large groups. Good value for money. The fact that I've always found it popular and the reviews I've read lead me to believe I'm not the only one who thinks it's a great place to stop for a meal.

20/10/2025: We stayed at Castagneto during a motorcycle tour, staying two nights in a triple room. The hotel is welcoming, and the staff, especially Mr. Giovanni at the front desk and the "genius" handyman, were extremely kind and offered helpful advice. The hotel's cuisine is simple and excellent. We highly recommend this property, and we hope to stay there again.

11/08/2025: One of the best white pizzas ever. Hot, well-oiled, with just the right amount of salt, and a crunchy center but soft center. Spectacular. There's often a line and you have to wait a bit to be served, but we were lucky enough to get the white pizza fresh from the oven (waiting only 5 minutes for it to finish cooking). It's a shame that the bread and pizza often run out; they should increase production a bit during the summer season and on busier days. In any case, the white pizza is worth the stop!

21/06/2025: Il termine esatto è come a casa di amici. Non aspettatevi un menù gourmet, i piatti sono i classici della zona. Grigia e amatriciana di ottima qualità, abbacchio veramente buono e ben cotto. Un plauso in più per la possibilità di pasta senza glutine servita in sicurezza e veramente buona ovviamente ben condita dal sugo di amatriciana. Attenzione al bis, non sono due assaggi ma due porzioni , come tutti i piatti le porzioni sono abbondanti. Titolare gentile e disponibile, il prezzo eccezionale. Torneremo quando prenotando, oggi ci siamo presentati a sorpresa.

14/06/2025: Che dire ...accoglienza cibo top... qualità...abbondanza ...Luigi e Barbara sono una garanzia .. se vuoi passare una giornata in totale relax tra buon cibo e amici è il luogo perfetto. I bambini hanno tantissimo spazio, campetto da calcio, giochi esterni e interni Messi a disposizione dai proprietari. Top top

17/05/2025: Ci siamo recati il 17 maggio, in questo ristorante. Piatti abbondanti e squisiti, qualità super, gricia e amatriciana superlative tanta cortesia del personale e garbo da parte del titolare Daniele. Prezzo onesto, da tornarci sicuramente.

15/05/2025: Ambiente molto curato, chef Daniele appassionato del suo lavoro e accogliente con gli ospiti ci ha fatto gustare la vera amatriciana sia bianca che rossa assolutamente spettacolare. Siamo arrivati con due cani, accolti amorevolmente. Consigliatissimo.
