The food was good, but it was a shame about the long wait between courses, even though the place wasn't very busy.

If you want a REAL pasta all'amatriciana experience, you have to come here: it's spectacular! The same goes for the gricia, which the chef also serves with the classic amatriciana. Highly recommended.

Everything was good, the service was friendly, the amatriciana was good, the gricia was super good, and the price was reasonable: €25 for two half first courses and a second course.

There were six of us who booked two days in advance, tempted by the reviews. We ordered set menus for €25. The starters were very good, the main courses were very salty, and the side dishes arrived long after we'd eaten the main courses. It took us two hours to get lunch. I wouldn't go back.

I had the pleasure of dining at Ma-Trù in Amatrice, and the experience was simply wonderful. The restaurant is truly enchanting, meticulously crafted, and has a romantic atmosphere that makes everything even more special. The cuisine is excellent: the amatriciana is undoubtedly among the best I've ever tasted, prepared with great care and respect for tradition. Kudos also to the staff, who are distinguished by their kindness, hospitality, and friendliness, making you feel immediately at ease. A place I highly recommend and will gladly return to!

The Gricia and Amatriciana are exceptional: after all, we're in the "homeland" of these dishes. The arrosticini are also delicious. The location is penalized by its relocation to an area dedicated to various restaurants: I think if it were in the old historic center, it would have a different atmosphere. The prices are lower than average.
