Who doesn't know Da Santino restaurant if they frequent Amatrice? Recommended... Tasty local specialties... as well as their battered courgettes.

We found ourselves at this restaurant after a motorcycle ride and were extremely pleased with both the charming location (we ate on the veranda overlooking the lake) and the quality of the food. I highly recommend it to everyone.

The food is cooked, not pre-packaged from the food industry. This is a true trattoria where the cooking is still done, the fresh produce is taken, cut, seasoned, and cooked... unfortunately, these restaurants are increasingly rare. Don't worry. The prices are also very fair, I must say... for 20-25 euros, you can eat well and fill up to your heart's content.

Tradition and breathtaking views in Amatrice! A must-visit for those seeking authentic Amatrice cuisine. We've always eaten wonderfully: dishes prepared with respect for tradition, rich in flavor, and made with excellent local ingredients. The location is the added bonus: a spectacular view that spans from the lake to the peaks of the Monti della Laga, creating a unique atmosphere throughout the meal. The service is always friendly and attentive, making us feel at home. A top-notch experience, highly recommended for both the quality of the food and the view! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Stunning view, overlooking the Monti della Laga. Excellent food, as usual, and plentiful. Professional carbonara, not the awful ones with raw egg cream that are so trendy these days. Fried lamb cutlets, three of them, delicious. Sautéed cabbage, delicate and plentiful, as a side. 1/4 of the house red wine, good, and water. For a total of €33.50. Fast and courteous service. In short, after 40 years of frequenting it (I've also visited other restaurants in the area), I can confirm that it was, and is, the BEST in Amatrice and the surrounding area.

A casual, rustic, and welcoming restaurant located a few kilometers from Amatrice (Santa Giusta). The food is excellent. We ordered, as is inevitable here, the pasta all'amatriciana (mezze maniche), a house antipasto platter of mixed cured meats, fried zucchini, and mutton (heart, liver, lungs) with peppers and onions (it tasted like soup). The bread and dessert (classic tiramisu) were also good. We also liked the location of the trattoria: there's a small lake, as well as the view of the mountain range. A peaceful haven, far from the chaos of the city! There were even some adorable dogs outside. The staff was very kind and quick to serve us. Excellent value. What can I say, a place we recommend!

Highly recommended! We stumbled upon it by chance but were pleased with the friendly and helpful service. Excellent appetizer, amatriciana 🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝 The coffee was also delicious. We'll be back soon!

Restaurant located near Amatrice, very nice and clean, helpful and very kind staff, they found us passing through with the camper and seeing the reviews we stopped for lunch. I've never eaten such a good amatriciana, abundant dishes with unique flavors, equally delicious main courses, it's a shame it only has five stars, it deserves much more. 👏👏

29/05/2026: A small and cozy restaurant in Labro where we have already been several times. Every time, it is a wonderful experience. You enjoy refined cuisine with fresh, high-quality products, carefully prepared and beautifully presented. Moreover, the dishes are accompanied by matching wines. Absolutely recommended for anyone who loves good food and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.
17/05/2026: The village is a gem, and so is this little restaurant, enhanced by the professionalism and friendliness of its owner and chef. Excellent food, meticulous attention to detail, superb service, and a wide selection of wines. Highly recommended. Excellent value. Since there are only a few seats, it's always best to book.

11/06/2026: As I enter the restaurant, the door opened by the owner, I feel like I'm entering a museum, or rather, another dimension of life, of the sense of beauty. What struck me most were the tables. They're all different, whether they seat 2, 4, 8, or 10. The furniture, tables, and chairs all hark back to other eras. The dining room gives me a wonderful feeling...not to mention the sensations of the truffle cannelloni and the roast fillets, soft as butter, the rind melting with every bite. Homemade tiramisu accompanied by a small glass of chocolate with a liqueur whose name I forgot to ask. Excellent cuisine, compliments to the chef. I ended up here because, staying at the nearby B&B Fratello Sole e Sorella Luna, when I asked where I could have dinner, he suggested Il nido del corvo. He also offered to drive me back, and on the way back, he said the owner or someone else would bring me back. What can I say? Complete service. After traveling 26 km from Rieti to the Greccio Sanctuary, I was so pleased I accepted the ride. But after this sumptuous dinner, I'll walk back to the B&B after coffee; it's only 5 km...
03/06/2026: We enjoyed the food so much on our first visit a few weeks ago that we decided to visit again. The antipasto is delicious and plentiful but we preferred the focaccia with black salt far more than yesterday’s with lardo. All of us were so disappointed with our main courses. It was the worse cannelloni I’ve ever eaten. The tubes were filled with an unidentifiable meat paste which was odd. The promised truffle tasted of absolutely nothing. Even more bizarre the cannelloni were served in a plastic bag tied with ribbon. Inside the pasta had steamed and was a floppy mess. The fettuccine with asparagus on our first visit was delicious but on this occasion was tasteless and underwhelming. We were so disappointed that we didn’t even bother with dessert. The tiramisu on our first visit was sublime. Perhaps it was an off day for the chef but doubt we will return.
