12/04/2026: I had a decent stay at Nuova Barcaccia. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was varied and tasty, a definite plus for this hotel.
However, the room felt old and the bed creaked quite a bit, which affected the comfort.
In terms of location, the hotel is about a 25-minute walk from the center of Peschiera del Garda or just a 4-minute drive, which is convenient.
Overall, the experience was ok, but there is room for improvement.

07/04/2026: We only had Aperol (highly recommended), and the fact that they even asked if our dog needed water was incredibly kind! The music was pleasant, and the view was fantastic!

08/05/2026: We were cycling through and were attracted by a rather nice place to sit under the trees. Immediately upon arrival, we were greeted by an elderly gentleman and a lady (who was wearing a mask 🤷) and then we found out that they didn't speak any other language than Italian, which wouldn't have been such a problem. We ordered 2 beers and a cola, Caesar salad, pasta with salmon and pizza for dinner. The lady was willing to help us. Before the meal and drink, she brought "typical Italian pastries" to the table, in this case a cut piece of baguette and a halved Kaiser from the market, both of which were already quite stale. The pasta with salmon was the cheapest tubes from the market with some sauce and pieces of salmon, we could have somehow managed to cook this dish even at a campsite on a stove, the pizza was average in the Czech Republic and the highlight of this gastronomy was the Caesar salad, which we didn't even taste, because it looked repulsive. (The cheapest iceberg salad with small burnt pieces of chicken and an anchovy thrown in here and there and all of it sprayed with mayonnaise from a tube on top.) When we returned the salad, the lady tried to make excuses and laughed, but of course we didn't understand anything. Then she said something else to us, but to no avail, she kept laughing and brought limoncello. We took it all as a miss, up until this point our experiences with Italian gastronomy had been absolutely fantastic, but I don't understand the positive reviews from visitors, apparently the staff, including the chef, rotates here and we ended up with the worse bunch🥴 In conclusion: 2 uninteresting dishes and 3 drinks for 41.50 euros🙈
08/05/2026: Very friendly service, Erwin was incredibly nice, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was family-friendly. We felt like we were in an Italian family, which is increasingly difficult to find these days. The food was delicious, I highly recommend it!

09/04/2026: Our group tried several dishes here, including seafood, lasagna, pizza, and pasta. Unfortunately, we would not recommend the seafood at all—the fish we received was overcooked and burnt. The pizza and lasagna were decent, but nothing particularly memorable.
The service was good and the staff were polite and attentive, which we appreciated. That said, while the overall experience was okay, we wouldn’t necessarily recommend the food.
07/04/2026: We had lunch there with a large group. The man at the entrance was super nice and very friendly, and the food was delicious! We'd love to come back again :)

13/03/2026: A very good restaurant; the prices are reasonable, especially considering the location and the view. Very friendly staff who also speak English and German.
03/03/2026: Parlo served us and we had lovely meal beside the canal with the canal view. It had a lovely romantic and homely feel to the place and all the staff were lovely. The food was very nice and good potion sizes for a reasonable price.

11/04/2026: The food was okay, but the portions were really small. The antipasti platter had three different salamis and four small pieces of cheese. The pasta portion was tiny, more like a child's portion, and the chicken was just a small piece! We were still hungry afterward, so we went to the old town for a pizza to go. So, it's suitable for a light meal, but the prices should be lower!

11/04/2026: Very good value for money. The rooms are relatively modern. Our shower faucet was loose and the drain clogged easily, but these were minor issues. Room cleaning wasn't entirely satisfactory; the sink, bidet, and toilet weren't cleaned even once in five days! Breakfast was small but perfectly adequate for us. The cappuccino was great! 👍🏽 Parking right outside is a plus, but it's a bit of a walk to the center.
06/04/2026: Excellent location just outside Porta Verona. Spacious, clean rooms with a large terrace. The hosts are also available to store your bags after check-out.
Highly recommended.

15/10/2025: Excellent business lunch. The place is small, and if you're alone, you can share a table and chat, which is unusual these days. Appetizer, first course, second course, side dish, water, wine, and coffee. All good, for 13 euros. Where else can you find anything like it?

08/02/2026: We stayed at this campsite in September 2025, in a cabin. I repeatedly showed the campsite staff that I didn't want to park my (new) car in the space assigned to me because it was around a blind bend. They forced me to use the parking space assigned to me. 3 days later, they caused me damage (by unknown people) worth 1,800 euros. The campsite didn't want to know anything, the person in charge of the cabins barely spoke Italian, and the reception passed the problem on to them without solving it, so a stay that was supposed to be quite cheap ended up costing us a fortune. The dishes in the cabins were dirty, and at 6 in the morning the cleaning staff started working, making a mess (obviously they weren't to blame for anything, but rather the person who managed the situation). Not to mention the smell from the toilet drains. All of this was reported to the managers without them intervening. We especially appreciate the pool lifeguards: they were extremely kind, helpful, and friendly—truly a rare gem in this little village.
I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
02/02/2026: A Disappointing Stay with a Bright Spot in the Restaurant
We had higher expectations. Unfortunately, we have to say that our mobile home is in dire need of a complete renovation. The furnishings are very dated, and the container smelled musty.
We also found the waste disposal system to be very impractical. The fact that waste can only be disposed of during two hours a day severely limits flexibility during our vacation. When we couldn't wait until it opened on our departure day, we had a very unpleasant and loud confrontation with a staff member, which we found to be quite unwelcoming.
In general, the campsite has an atmosphere of many prohibitions, which somewhat detracts from the relaxation. Furthermore, the campsite is only conditionally recommended for dog owners: The much-touted "dog zone" is unfortunately in a state that is hardly acceptable for animals, resulting in many dogs relieving themselves directly on the campsite.
The only bright spot: The restaurant on the premises. We received extremely friendly service here, and the food was truly excellent. Unfortunately, that was the only highlight of our stay.

07/04/2026: The food was good, but it was difficult to communicate with the staff in English, and the fries (large) for €6 were only two potatoes, I think because I was a tourist. The staff saw the young tourists and decided to give us these instead of large fries... If you're a tourist, I wouldn't recommend going there. The staff constantly glared at you and made communication difficult.
