29/11/2025: Aloha, a questionable name for a place in the center of Chioggia, unless you're talking about poke houses. Once we entered this small place, we were greeted by a good eight people standing around, all with their hands in their pockets, staring at us. Once we were seated at our table, an unexpected detail immediately caught our attention: the stained and dirty chairs. While waiting, we were served bread, served with the waiter's thumb on all four slices of bread, of course! We ordered two plates of spaghetti with seafood, which arrived within five minutes of each other. The spaghetti was too al dente even for a Roman, and then we realized the mussels hadn't been cleaned. One of the two plates had a mix of seafood: inside were the rings in oil, still cold compared to the mussels.

25/09/2025: Tasty pizza at an affordable price. A large selection of dishes for under €10. You can also order pizza by the slice. Small beers and cola are €3 each. The only drawback is the additional €3 surcharge per person. And for that reason alone, I'd recommend the competition on the bridge. It's simply cheaper.

01/10/2025: Very friendly service. We were the first guests that evening. We had a view of a beautiful sunset. We had seafood and mussels. Both were very good.

15/09/2025: The place is nice, but small. There's a large garden in front with seating. You can watch the traffic. The service is friendly and speaks English. I ordered an Aperol and it was delicious. However, the tiramisu (a slice for 6 euros) was strange. The bottom sponge cake was warm, while the middle one felt as if it had been frozen. This is the first time I've encountered something like this. Perhaps the tiramisu in a jar for 8 euros would have been a better choice.

14/09/2025: The clerk was kind and smiling. The bar is located in a busy passageway...clean. The coffee wasn't to my liking, the tiramisu was dry, not very moist, not recommended.

06/09/2025: We went to this restaurant last night. The place is lovely, right on the beach, and the staff was very kind. It's a shame we didn't have a good meal: the pizza was burnt, the tiramisu and the pistachio dessert weren't good at all. What a shame.

31/08/2025: We had just gotten our drinks through self-service and sat down at a table with a sea view. It felt good... after several hours of driving here. After two minutes, however, we were rudely asked to get up and sit at the back tables, as they had to set up tables up front for the restaurant that evening. Almost all the tables were empty, and the restaurant didn't open for another three and a half hours. Everything was very unloving. It's a shame, the place would have been nice.

20/08/2025: Everything was very welcoming, the food was excellent, fresh fish cooked well, and the fried fish was fantastic, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, a sight to behold. The pizza was also very good, with fresh, tasty ingredients. The desserts were delicious. I highly recommend it!

15/08/2025: The atmosphere is quiet, and the staff are very kind and friendly. We had a seafood dinner, which was fresh and delicious. In short, the service and food were excellent. We come here often and definitely recommend it!

06/11/2025: I enjoyed the "Spanish-style mussels and clams" appetizer, which I found very tasty, and the spaghetti with squid ink was truly rich in flavor. I finished with a puff pastry with custard and strawberries. The atmosphere was pleasant and the wait staff was friendly. Excellent location for a post-dinner stroll in the center of beautiful Chioggia.

A special mention goes to the lifeguards, always present, attentive, and truly super kind. 28/09/2025: We had lunch at this restaurant. The waitress smiled unforcedly, looking like her cat had died. We ordered eight starters, four of which arrived on time, while the other four arrived 30 minutes later (we had to eat in shifts). We didn't even get an apology or a discount, they simply pretended nothing had happened, even after several complaints and requests. The tiramisu was good, but it wasn't tiramisu. The cream wasn't mascarpone; it almost tasted like pudding, and it had at least half a centimeter of bitter cocoa on top. It was good, but it should be mentioned on the menu. Overall, the food was good, but the staff was not. If we were to be in the area again, we wouldn't return.

01/12/2025: Unfortunately, we ordered 2 risottos with fish and courgettes... apart from the courgettes which were cut to the size of an ant, the prawns, only these fish ones, in one dish there were only 2, I say number 2, and that's it... the other portion had 5... luckily... but I say, a restaurant where fresh fish is well-regarded, should have added a dose of about 6 on top of the rice to at least show the fish...

20/06/2025: Oggi abbiamo visitato Chioggia e ci siamo trovati all’Osteria Penzo. Non avevamo prenotato ma i gestori sono riusciti a trovarci un posticino. Abbiamo mangiato i cicchetti come antipasto, gnocchetti buonissimi con vongole, radicchio e cipolla ed un’ottimo fritto.Buono il rapporto qualità prezzo, gestori molto cortesi.

19/06/2025: Ich hatte eine schöne Zeit in Chioggia und der Abend in dieser feinen Osteria bei Mario war das i- Tüpfelchen. Das Essen hervorragend! Der Service freundlich! Und obwohl man reservieren muss, bekommt man das Gefühl der einzige und beste Gast zu sein! Hier bekommt man gute Laune und verlässt das Lokal mit einem Lächeln. Vielen Dank, Mario!
