31/08/2024: The staff were really friendly, he joked that I'm quite shy for someone from the UK which was sweet. I have to admit the food prices were quite high but if you ask for tap water (and trust me you will need it) it should cost you a few euros less.

27/06/2024: For international readers, the tri cornered hat reference is to highwaymen of the 18th century who robbed people on the road. That’s how I felt when I got the bill at this restaurant. We’ve had nothing but lovely experiences in bars and restaurants during our three days in Venice. We let our guard down, and didn’t check the reviews before stopping for a drink here on a sunny afternoon. Big mistake. We checked the menu before ordering but wine was priced only by the bottle. No use to us, we wanted a glass of wine and two beers. We ordered a glass of house white, thinking it would be the cheapest on the menu, and two beers. We then ordered another glass of wine and a beer. When the bill came the beers were €8 each. Expensive for Venice, but manageable. However the standard glasses of wine were €15 each. €15! We were very unhappy but that’s what you get when you don’t check the reviews. Felt completely ripped off. Please do avoid and try one of the many, many other decent places nearby.

08/06/2024: My wife and I had lunch here. Venice is expensive full stop, but I received four prawns for 20 Euros and my wife’s meal was not much better. We had not even put our cutlery back on the plate before they were taken away and they were trying to rush us out of the restaurant. The amount of food we ate was not even an entree size, yet it was the main dish. AVOID !!!!

22/07/2024: We stopped for a drink after visiting the Mercato del Pesce al Minuto which is about 100 meters away. Drinks were cheap by Venice standards, 12€ for two glasses of wine. Friendly service.

13/08/2024: This is why you sometimes have to experience things first hand. There are a decent amount of negative reviews. This is a positive review. 4 of us sat for cappuccinos, one of us got a breakfast: ham, cheese, eggs, bread. Cappuccinos were made delicately, ratio was spot on, fresh pour, milk not scalded and perfectly frothed and creamed. Dish was nothing intricate or complex, but everything was fresh and flavorful. Overall very pleased with our quick stop for a pick me up.

09/08/2024: Ridiculous. We went to have a coffee sitting down, as we saw that each one cost €1.8. When we went to pay, each express cost €4.5!!!!! We looked at the menu again and it was in small letters that the lower price was just for taking at the counter. Ridiculous establishment and deserves to be closed due to the greed of the managers.

10/08/2024: Absolutely and simply—a scam. Everything is wrong here (except the location). Handwritten menu without prices (expect to be very surprised later), handwritten receipt, terrible food, and even worse service. I’ve had better pizza by the roadside in rural Bulgaria. I’m not sure how the city of Venice allows this place to operate in 2024!

28/06/2024: Ripoff / Cheater / Thief / Liar: Zero stars is far too much for this THIEF. I only ordered an orange juice. I was given a relatively smallish glass of juice and was told the bar will close in 30 minutes so I went to pay and got asked whether I pay cash or card, then they quickly got me the contactless machine to pay. I stupidly touched my card without checking the amount as I had so many orange drinks in Venice for no more than €5. As the payment went through I had a notification that I paid €12 so when I enquired whether this was an error the barman said that was the correct price and refused to discuss that the price was far too high for such a small glass of orange drink. He even lied and claimed that this was a large glass!!! This place is clearly a disgusting example of a tourist trap and should not be allowed to remain in business. Those thieves are a disgrace to the Italian tourist industry and should not be allowed to continue their THEFT.

15/08/2024: The waiter who was on the terrace last night, 08/14/2024, demanding clients... you are extremely rude, champion. If I have the hotel next door, yes or yes I have to cross through your terrace. Let's shout at the opera 😘

14/08/2024: We were in a hurry so we entered this place quickly since it is close to the square. We thought that the pasta for about €9 was a good price, but when it arrived it was literally four noodles counted and of very poor quality. They charge you €2.5 per person for the cover, and they don't warn you that you can't pay by card. Rude employees and a horrible experience

30/07/2024: We were so well looked after by the staff on the first night of our visit to Venice that we returned each night until the end of our stay. The food choice was great, whether you want pizza, pasta of grill. The staff were polite friendly and helpful without being overbearing and the service was execellent. I would thoroughly recommend eating here.

06/06/2024: Classico ristorante turistico sito su strada di grande passaggio. Sinceramente credo sia un ristorante senza lode e senza infamia. Personalmente ho apprezzato gli spaghetti alle vongole, giusta cottura e ben conditi così come gli spaghetti aglio e olio che ha preso mio marito. Per secondo andava bene il petto di pollo alla griglia con patate mentre i miei gamberetti olio e limone non erano nulla di eccezionale. Penso che quando si sceglie un ristorante come questo, sito in località turistica e in via di forte passaggio non ci si possa aspettare chissà cosa, è così anche in altri luoghi simili. I prezzi sinceramente non li ho trovati così spropositati se faccio un confronto con la città dove vivo, fanno però pagare il servizio.
