25/08/2024: It was the only appetizing thing open at such an early hour. I was the only one in there for half the meal. But their burger and chips saved me after the longest, most chaotic travel day. The server/barkeep was kind and brought good banter. I had the American burger with a gin lemon.

16/08/2024: Chronicle of an evening full of misfortune and heat My girlfriend and I had dinner at the Venissa Restaurant a few evenings ago. It was a voucher that I had given her some time before. The bad luck starts a few hours before sitting down at the table, I must have eaten something in a cicchetteria for lunch that made me sick and I start to feel stomach cramps. I remain optimistic, I take a buscopan and decide to try the starry experience anyway also because for various reasons we would have struggled to arrange another date. The atmosphere is elegant but not suffocating, many smiles that put you at ease, making the context comfortable like few others. But alas, after the third course the pangs in my stomach return and I manage to hold on just for the next dish, the superstar: the blue crab. Luckily because it helps me understand the philosophy of Venissa: using a despised, detested, infesting product and transforming it into a prince of the table, protagonist of one of the best dishes I've ever tasted in my life. For me, dinner ends here, I explain the situation and ask that no more dishes come out of the kitchen for me. And, it seems incredible, my experience at Venissa still manages to improve: I am promptly offered a herbal tea and in rotation all the dining room staff come to check on my condition. I don't have time to feel embarrassed because I see a deep empathy in their eyes and I have the opportunity to taste the most important ingredient of Venissa last: human warmth. I have been able to try other starred restaurants but there is a philosophy behind this restaurant that is impressive: the care for raw materials, the attention to using waste, the use of creativity. But the thing that is priceless is the human warmth of the whole team that can be felt in the room and which, inevitably, translates into the dishes. Furthermore, the positive thing is that I have an excuse to return and that the voucher was so appreciated by my girlfriend that I have bonuses for the months to come. Thanks Venissa!

15/08/2024: Absolute level experience. At Osteria Contemporanea we chose the 4-course tasting option with a wine subscription. From the starter to the main course it was an explosive crescendo and the dessert represented an excellent conclusion. Original and well paired wines. The place is magnificent, the vegetable garden in front is a real feast for the eyes. Particular note of merit for the service, very attentive and able to easily put us at ease. Thank you, we will definitely be back

03/08/2024: I had dinner in this place and we had the mixed grill and Vicenza-style cod... nothing to say... everything was good... the only flaw was 10 euros for half a liter of prosecco in a carafe. THE PRICE IS EXCESSARY!!

03/09/2024: Very good friendly staff in 30 years it has only improved I recommend booking in advance because it is always full. For little ones the schnitzel is very good and there is a place for the stroller. The only flaw if we really want to be picky in 5 not all the pizzas arrived together we are talking about a few minutes nothing dramatic. Fair price €80 5 pizzas, drinks, water and coffee I've been coming back to it every year for 30 years 😋

18/08/2024: Place between the Adriatic and the Venetian lagoon, a beach with every comfort. We will immediately notice that this complex has existed for years where quite a few regulars meet. Superb place where the word vacation takes on its letters of nobility.

14/08/2024: But how can these structures be evaluated? These privatized beaches are all the same, boring... I dream of free and well-kept beaches as a public good with many kiosks. Whoever obtains one in concession must have the obligation to take care of the beach and the toilets and whoever uses the beach the moral obligation to consume at the bar so as to establish a vicious circle of give and take.

19/07/2024: The place is nice and welcoming. The classic "Venetian osteria". The staff is kind and professional. The food is good although I had the feeling that the scallops were frozen. The risotto was excellent and overall it is a place that I would recommend and where I will return when I am passing through again.

19/07/2024: Très bon repas (poisson du jour et gnocchi). La serveuse est très accueillante et très souriante et même si nous ne parlons pas italien elle a essayé de se faire comprendre, merci à elle. Les desserts sont excellents

27/08/2024: The bruschetta and pizza were both fairly nice, the pizza was a little soggy though. I didn’t get to enjoy my aperol spritz because flies kept dying in the drink.

20/08/2024: I gave 4 stars to the environment but only and exclusively because it was very crowded. You eat divinely. The service is excellent. The place is worth trying if you want to eat good fish, but if by chance you also want to change meat you can try a pizza for variety.

27/08/2024: pizzeria restaurant with excellent outdoor space that can be used during the summer and spring periods, really beautiful. We chose the pizza tour, which includes pizzas of their choice (after a few bakes they ask if you have any preferred flavours) + 1 drink for the price of around 15 euros. good pizza, unfortunately the chips were undercooked, to be kept a few more minutes. Overall very recommended

21/06/2024: Pizza is yummy. Nice options especially the brie pizza. However, the cashier/ server said maybe 3 words to us and didn't smile the entire time. Additionally, the pizza maker laughed and joked with several people while working, making it feel like a fraternity. Lastly, the bathroom was disgusting, being a unisex toilet and no toilet seat. Overall, take your pizza to go and you'll be just fine.

15/05/2024: Vicinissimo a Piazzale Roma, è solo un localino di pochissimi metri quadri in cui il servizio conserva il genuino spirito veneziano furbesco e scanzonato, a differenza di molti altri 'bacari' che si sono ormai trasformati in dei piacevoli bar per turisti. Molto frequentato a qualsiasi ora, offre non molte cose ma tutte buone, da consumare ovviamente solo all'esterno in piedi o seduti sui gradini della 'riva'. Incredibilmente per una città carissima come Venezia, qui si può fare aperitivo spendendo cifre irrisorie: un paninetto costa 1,20 euro, un vassoietto con 2 pezzetti di formaggio, 6 o 7 'bibanesi' e due grosse fette di salame fresco costa 1,80 euro, 1 piccolo bicchiere di vino costa 1 euro, e così via. Insomma un appuntamento piacevolissimo in un 'bacaro' popolare e autentico al prezzo di 2-4 euro.
