06/05/2026: It goes without saying that for the same price as other bars, you can find fresh, not frozen, pastries here. And the girls are so kind and smile even when they're with people they don't know, and that's not something you'll find easily.

02/07/2026: We stopped by by chance and must say it was a lovely discovery: the atmosphere was warm and clean, the staff were courteous and unobtrusive, and the set menu was extensive, plentiful, and delicious... we'll definitely be returning and recommending it to others!

12/04/2026: Very long wait to receive what I ordered, an hour and 10 minutes for the pizza and 30 minutes for the dessert, the pizza is a thin and crunchy pastry which I personally don't like, cheap prices.

23/06/2026: A good restaurant for winter dishes and platters, but not for summer ones. I don't know why I didn't try the pizza. Fish isn't their thing, though. It's a shame because the traditional local dishes, like musso with polenta, are very good compared to other places. So I highly recommend the restaurant, but not for the fish. Keep in mind that many of the dishes are made fresh and not pre-cooked, so that's another plus.

Gluttony, as my compatriot Pellegrino Artusi would have pronounced, is a very dear rascal when one relies on the convenience stores! As you find yourself deliberating at the counter, you will be assailed by a disturbing question about the bizarre arithmetic alchemy of this place, where every single morsel seems subject to the same, inexorable toll. If Hygiene appears impeccable, Economy and Good Taste flee with their tails between their legs. When your eye falls on the tags, your vision blurs: a modest piece of focaccia with tomato sauce, which the trusty Marietta would prepare by mixing flour and water for a few cents, is offered at the incredible price of seven lire and twenty cents. Whether you choose a sandwich or a pastry, the price asked at the counter remains stubbornly the same, while to access the dinner fare, the prices double with haste. Finally, the enigma of such uniformity is solved: there is no calculation regarding the delicacy of the raw materials, but rather a deliberate strategy to squeeze those who haven't brought food from home. To still get the most out of your journey, my heartfelt suggestion is to carefully prepare your dishes before moving the carriage, to avoid a bloodbath that would make even the Grand Duchy's cashier weep. 17/08/2025: This bar and pastry shop near the Rovigo nursing home is not very large, and the parking lot is small. The selection of pastries and small pastries is wide and high-quality. They also have semifreddo cakes, and during the Christmas period they also make panettone in various flavors, and for Easter they also make Colomba cakes. I've had several of them, and they've always been excellent. Friendly staff and fast service.

The cuisine is typically home-cooked, with dishes prepared with quality ingredients: the meat is particularly good and well-cooked. The staff is friendly and helpful, and a great plus is that they accept dogs. Perfect for those seeking traditional flavors and a genuine experience.

When it came to paying, let's draw a veil over it: there were a lot of us, but not allowing those without cash to pay by debit card, and those with cash couldn't get change, seems crazy to me. Bottom line: we made do and managed to pay the bill in cash, but one thing I'm sure of is that these days you have to keep up with the times. Terrible.

12/08/2026: We were there with a large group of 17 people. When we took our order, they sensibly divided us into groups based on family size, which worked well – especially since one waitress spoke some German and helped us with our order. Unfortunately, the service deteriorated from that point on. The remaining waitresses spoke only Italian, not even English – which I found quite surprising in the restaurant industry. Although we were charged a cover charge, there were no glasses, vinegar/oil, salt, or bread on our table. In addition, several dishes were simply forgotten, leaving some of our group sitting hungry and increasingly frustrated while others were already eating. It's a shame, because the food itself was really very good. Locals probably have an easier time here, but as a tourist, I unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant due to the poor service – there are other options on the island where you feel much more welcome. We won't be returning.

04/08/2026: A very charming restaurant overlooking the little square. The food is very good, both in terms of quantity and quality of the ingredients. Reservations are recommended as it's often crowded. The owner is very kind and attentive, and the service is prompt and fast. This restaurant is a true reference point for anyone visiting Albarella, highly recommended.
