On the evening of July 10, 2025, when I first arrived in Venice, I saw this place on the street and thought it looked cheap, so I sat down. Since I don't speak Italian, I could only look at the picture on the menu and ordered a plate of seafood spaghetti, which was listed as 9 euros. While eating, I didn't think the seafood was fresh at all, but I figured, for only 9 euros, I couldn't expect more. However, when I paid, I was charged 108 euros! They said the price on the menu was for 100 grams, but the plate I was given was 1000 grams, plus a 12% service charge. I blamed myself for not reading the price on the menu, but they didn't confirm the portion size when I ordered. Furthermore, if the plate of spaghetti was 500 grams, it's possible, but it definitely wasn't 1000 grams! After negotiating with two shop assistants, one offered a discount, charging me 80 euros. I said I could only pay 50 euros, and he said, "Let's call the police." But he didn't seem to call them. I asked when they would arrive, and they said it would take at least two hours. After a while, another shop assistant came over to mediate, saying they didn't want to cause any trouble. However, my experience at this restaurant was the most Unpleasant and even a bit frightening. Scam restaurants like this one ruin the beauty of Venice! Afterwards, I checked Google Maps reviews and found out that this restaurant is notorious for its poor reputation. It’s my own fault for not checking beforehand. I also checked menus from other restaurants and found out that the average price of a seafood pasta is around 25-30 euros. I hope more people can see this post and avoid falling into such scams.

30/05/2025: I recommend this place. I come back there every time we are on holiday in Bibione. Delicious, real Italian coffee. Delicious brioche. Polite owner and very nice waitress.

11/07/2025: Viajero ciego estafado — € 9 pasta convertida en € 63 Tengo discapacidad visual, y esta fue mi primera visita a una trattoria en Venecia. Desafortunadamente, fui engañado debido a mi incapacidad para ver claramente. El personal recomendó un plato de pasta, diciendo que era de € 9. Lo ordené, confiando en esa información. Pero cuando llegó el momento de pagar, el propietario me dijo que en realidad eran 9 € por 100 gramos, algo que nunca me explicaron en ningún momento. Sin pedir mi consentimiento, cocinaron 700 gramos y luego me gritaron que pagara 63€. Cuando lo dudé, el dueño amenazó con llamar a la policía, lo que me puso extremadamente ansioso y asustado. Les dije que no tenía tarjeta, solo algo de dinero en efectivo. Me presionaron hasta que les di todo el dinero que tenía para salir de allí. Como alguien ciego, confío en explicaciones verbales claras. Pero ninguno fue proporcionado. En Florencia, cuando pedí filete, mostraron claramente el peso y el precio de antemano. Aquí, se aprovecharon de mi vulnerabilidad. Adjunto una foto del plato que sirvieron. Parecía una pasta típica de marisco, no algo que debería costar 63€. Y para ser claros, los 63€ eran solo para la pasta. Las bebidas y otros artículos se cobran por separado. Esto hace que la falta de explicación previa sea aún más indignante. Más tarde, encontré otra reseña que describía exactamente la misma situación: a un cliente le dijeron que era una “pasta de mariscos”, asumió que eran 15 € como los demás y terminó cobrándole 63 € por pasta de langosta. Es evidente que este es un patrón de engaño dirigido a los turistas, especialmente a aquellos que no están familiarizados con las prácticas locales o a personas vulnerables como yo. Ni siquiera me dieron un recibo. Esto no solo fue deshonesto, sino discriminatorio. Evita este lugar. Se benefician de engañar y amenazar a los clientes vulnerables.

05/07/2025: Nous recommandons ce restaurant qui est vraiment bon! J ai mangé du foie à la Vénitienne un délice!!! Les pâtes étaient très bonne aussi et le service excellent. Merci pour ce bon moment.

16/06/2025: Come già detto da molti, posto bello ma con gestori non adeguati ! Lui scortese e scorbutico , ma è al momento del conto che ci resti di sasso ! Per una pasta in bianco,una fetta di formaggio fuso,un contorno ,una bottiglia da litro d'acqua, un quarto di vino sfuso e 2 caffè di moka, abbiamo pagato 46,00 euro !!! Esagerato, non in linea con tutte le malghe attorno. Noi non ci torneremo mai più. So che son da soli perché c'è l'hanno detto loro che i figli non aiutano, ma ti credo, penso sia impossibile lavorare con quel "signore" che sta in cucina !

07/07/2025: Yo EVITARÍA este lugar. La comida era terrible: una ensalada marchita y una pizza con masa congelada preparada, una salsa ligera y débil y un queso gelatinoso y sin sabor. Palitos de pan servidos en fundas de plástico. El servicio fue pasable durante la comida, pero luego agregaron un cargo por cubierto a mi cuenta y luego cobraron a mi tarjeta más de lo que correspondía. Noté el cobro excesivo y el camarero me explicó que era necesario porque estaba pagando con tarjeta. Me detuve porque me hospedaré cerca de este lugar y acabo de llegar a Venecia por unos días. Este es el tipo de experiencia que te hace arrepentirte de la decisión y sentir que te están aprovechando. Hay muchos restaurantes agradables a menos de 100 metros. Seguir andando. Error absoluto.

09/07/2025: Unfortunately, it didn't convince us. A few things were really deliciously prepared (e.g., the gnocchi appetizer), while others felt a bit carelessly prepared and not very high quality (dried-on bread slices/too much fat/large lumps of minced meat in the ragù). We both feel a bit nauseous, but that could also be due to the portion sizes. Unfortunately, it was also comparatively expensive, so we only gave it 1/5.

07/07/2025: I just want to say that the blonde waitress with glasses was really mean and badly educated. She needs to change jobs. Another brunette waitress is very kind but I will never go back there again... shame

19/07/2025: Very disappointing experience. The music was extremely loud – The waiter was friendly, but that’s about the only positive thing we can say. The portions were shockingly small. One dish, labeled as a main course, was more like a tiny kids’ portion – and it cost €11. Another salad with chicken cost €12.50 and was basically a few salad leaves, 8 brown beans, 4 green olives, half a can of corn, and 8 strips of turkey. That’s it. Completely overpriced and not worth the money. We were honestly shocked. We definitely wouldn’t come back.

09/10/2024: The coffee is good, but 4.20 euros for a correct coffee and an espresso is really excessive! I understand the table service surcharge, but one euro per coffee? We weren't even in Piazza San Marco. Never again.

21/04/2025: Katastrophe das Essen, Bedienung prolig,einfach nicht zu empfehlen!!!!! Keine Danke ..Essen wird nur dahin genallt -Im warsten Sinne des Wortes- Essen nur aufgewärmt, ohne Geschmack, Den Koch ,wenn es überhaupt einer ist,sollte besser gehen.

06/08/2025: Serveur agréable qui parlait français. Nous avons pu échanger avec lui, souriant. Cependant, fuyez cet établissement !! Ce sont des pizzas surgelées sans saveurs, la pâte est dure comme du carton, les pâtes carbonara de très mauvaises qualité ! Et tout ça pour 114€ !!!!! Une honte ! Très décevant !!!!

02/08/2025: Maten var ganska medioker och smaklös. Tog en meny själv, grabbarna tog pasta carbonara som var ganska bra men små portioner. Pommes frites som var riktigt friterad. Har aldrig varit på en restaurang som misslyckats med pommes frites! Själva uteserveringen var trevlig och så även personalen, de tog en högre serviceavgift än de 12% som stod, fick betala ca 15%.

15/07/2025: I'm giving it 1 star, not to mention the fact that it's completely unsanitary. The carpet is so dirty that it's hard to see who's brave enough to put their feet up, the mattress is covered in fleas, and we left with tons of sores and bites. Not to mention the fact that we had a hard time finding the hotel because the Google location didn't match up, and we only had one electrical outlet, and it was broken. You can walk everywhere, though.

11/07/2025: The girl at the front desk was very kind, the hotel's location was excellent, but the rooms, oh my... Everything was very old, neglected, and dirty, all carpeted like London houses. 4 stars????? 3 stars???? They gave them to you... This hotel is a one-star hotel, the only amenities are Wi-Fi and shampoo for your body and hair; no minibar... €70/80 per person without breakfast, which was €12 per person... You be the judge. The bed was clean, and the room overlooked the back of a restaurant. There were a few inches of dust behind the TV, and we couldn't see the remote. In addition to the TV remote, the air conditioning remote was also missing, which was always on at 20 degrees Celsius, making it uncomfortably cold. The room door feels like cardboard; a punch can smash it in, so be careful about leaving valuables inside, and the room is located 120 meters from reception.

02/05/2025: posto molto carino isolato dal caos di venezia, con spazio all aperto e al chiuso, piatti tipici e a basso prezzo ma soprattutto personale disponibile e gentile.

23/04/2025: Esperienza davvero pessima! Difficilmente ci è successo. Il personale non è per niente gentile e ci hanno portato il primo piatto dopo solo tre minuti esatti dall'antipasto! Gli spaghetti alla Rivetta, con i frutti di mare, erano scotti e insieme al pomodoro c'era anche la panna, completamente fuori luogo! Le cozze, presenti sia nell'antipasto che nel primo piatto, avevano un sapore disgustoso. E infatti abbiamo vomitato qualche ora più tardi! È stato fatto presente al personale, ma hanno volutamente ignorato il problema. Di solito il piatto non gradito non viene fatto pagare, oppure viene proposta una sostituzione. Loro, invece, non ci hanno neppure fatto lo sconto. I prezzi sono alti e mangiare all'aperto significa respirare una puzza nauseante proveniente dal rio a fianco. Ci sono posti decisamente migliori di questo a Venezia!

24/07/2025: Scam! We asked if the milkshake was made from gelato, told yes, and the drink turned out to be very watery. There was also hidden surcharge 7 euros for two. Coffee was also worse than instant. Please stay away.

20/07/2025: They charged me €13 for two espressos. I think it's a complete rip-off, especially since the prices aren't even listed on the menu. Be careful, there are much better, prettier, and cheaper places a two-minute walk away. Stay away and don't give them your money; they don't deserve it.

11/07/2025: Unterirdisch schlecht. „Service“ maximal arrogant, kein Bitte, kein Danke. Laut Schild keine versteckten Kosten, dann werden aber mal eben 7,10 € für den sogenannten Service aufgeschlagen. Das Essen ist nach wenigen Momenten auf dem Tisch und schmeckt auch demnach unterirdisch schlecht. Jede Mikrowellen-Mahlzeit ist ein Genuss dagegen. Mein dringender Tipp: Diesen Laden auf jeden Fall meiden.

08/07/2025: Terminamos comiendo aquí ya que en varios lugares había largas colas para sentarse. El servicio estuvo bien, la comida también estuvo bien, pero no fue la mejor que habíamos probado en nuestro viaje. Parecían centrarse en atraer turistas para que comieran allí. Las porciones eran buenas y el pan estaba bien. La mesa en la que nos sentamos todavía tenía migas de los clientes anteriores. Si bien la comida no estaba mal, hay otros lugares mejores para comer en San Marco.
