18/03/2025: Great view of the Langkoffel. Hot tip: definitely try the best spaghetti aglio e olio. Be careful when going to the toilet, this is a “black slope”

12/07/2025: We had a really delicious dinner here. The goulash with speck knodel was super-tasty. Everyone was really pleased with their meals. The strudel was spectacular. Probably the best we had in our week in the Dolomites! The owner is lovely and is just such a character! Highly recommend!

23/03/2025: Food was very creative in concept and artful in presentation. Didn’t like the fish dish. They worked around my allergies, but I could tell it was a challenge for them and not something they’re overly excited to have to do for guests. They did go out of their way and try and make gluten-free bread as the packaged options they offered were not very tasty. While the bread was a little bit of a flop. I certainly appreciate the effort. My husband loved the “mold” dish. Wines by the glass were also very good. Service overall was very good, but the timing was off with trying to serve several tables at once multiple courses and we waited over 45 minutes between our last course and dessert. After dessert, they come out with another set of tasty bites to try and send you home with some cookies. Nice touches.

16/03/2025: Exquisite food for foodies. Service was friendly and attentive when available but a little slow. We had to pour our own water and wine sometimes. This doesn't usually bother me, but one excepts top attention for top money paid. Especially for the $150 per person Surprise Menu.

Amber glasses catch the light, linens are quietly chic, and the room hums at a soft, happy volume. It’s the kind of cozy interior where you loosen your scarf, exhale, and know dinner’s going to be good. Wine first, obviously. Their list is a mini atlas of Italy—glasses if you’re grazing, bottles if you’re settling in. From Alto Adige whites to serious Barolo and Brunello, the sommelier nudges you toward pairings that actually make sense with the mountain-driven menu. Now, that Alpin Beef Rib Eye. You can smell the sizzle before it lands. Thick-cut, rosy-centred, rimmed with glossy fat, crowned with rosemary—juicy, minerally, deeply beefy. It comes with sauces but needs nothing more than a sprinkle of salt. Order the Pannocchia on the side: sweet kernels and rustic corn notes that play perfect backup. Pasta people, don’t skip the Ravioli plin tartufo. Tiny cocoa-tinted parcels, rich meaty filling, and a black truffle lift that feels like walking through a pine forest after rain. If you’re in a leaner mood, the Filetto di cervo is finesse on a plate—silky deer fillet, careful sear, clean flavours, pretty veg. Bottom line: great food, real hospitality, and a wine program with range. Cozy place to linger after a day in the mountains—your cheeks warm, your glass full, your fork always finding its way back.

26/08/2025: Very nice area where you can have a coffee or something to eat. Very clean bathrooms, even hand cream after washing with the liquid soap from the same range. Can be purchased at the bar

05/08/2025: A true gem in the heart of the Dolomites! Ristorante Medel won us over in every way: the warm and welcoming atmosphere, refined furnishings, and spectacular mountain views. The service was impeccable: courtesy, professionalism, and genuine smiles made us feel instantly at home. The cuisine? Simply excellent. Dishes crafted with attention to detail, a perfect balance of Ladin tradition and contemporary creativity. We tried several specialties, and each course was a surprise of authentic flavors and aromas. The desserts are absolutely not to be missed—true works of art! Highly recommended for a romantic dinner, a special evening, or simply to enjoy the best of Val Gardena's gastronomy. Kudos to the entire team!
