12/10/2025: The hotel rooms are beautiful, traditional, warm, and comfortable. The view is spectacular, and the bed is incredibly comfortable. We ate well throughout our stay. The dishes are typical of the area, and the cured meats are exceptional! The location is ideal, as the ski slopes and equipment rental are just a few minutes' walk away. There's also the option of using a room inside the hotel for equipment storage (skis, snowboards, helmets, etc.).

25/08/2025: Hotel: very central, free indoor parking, and spacious rooms. Staff: everyone is friendly and helpful, both the owners and the staff, but what struck us most was Claudia's helpfulness, kindness, precision, and smile!! Congratulations! The owners, Stefano and Romana, are truly welcoming and always ready to accommodate all their guests' needs. The chef is one of a kind! The food is excellent, imaginative, and delicate. The dishes are always served with kindness and attention by Claudia (the best), Lolita, Larisa, Bledi, and Lucia. If I were to return to Selva, I would have no doubts about my choice: Hotel Armin!

19/10/2025: We had the best dinner in Selva here. The food was really great. The pizza was baked perfectly, the tagiatelle ragu was great, the tiramisu was also tasty. The waiters were very helpful and kind. Definitely will come back whenever we visit Dolomites again.

09/01/2026: Excellent bourguignonne. There was a bit of confusion with the reservation, and we were worried we wouldn't get it due to a mistaken cancellation, but we finally made it. Our only regret was having ordered the appetizer (mixed salami) on the recommendation to pass the extra wait, but it was worth the wait and enjoyed the main course, which was plentiful and we couldn't finish it.

23/01/2026: Over priced for the food quality, the starter where mostly fine, I would not recommend the winter greens, a nice option for vegetarians but would not go for it again. I found the main course, Tagliata with mushrooms to be bland and the meat tough. Perhaps just bad luck but for a sitting that cost 100€ I had higher expectations. My friends went for the fondue and from what I tasted of it it was nothing special. As for the atmosphere, we all thought that it looked nice but most complained that it was to hot in the room we were sitting and you could feel the the stale air. More ventilation is needed if you should have that many ppl and fondue pots in the same room.

20/01/2026: We order steak and ravioli. First with the positive cant say anything about ravioli they were good. About the steak first it came in raw(we ordered medium) it wqs super chewy, wrongly cut, and 0 taste. We at least asked if this is medium and they admited and being it back to kitchen. Than they bringed it back and gave us medium well more like well. We tried to eat it since i know there is no save at this time but it was still super chewy and with even less taste. So we left around 3/5 of the steak. We waitied like 20 minutes befoee somebody noticed us we finished ( the waitress walk around us many times and than stand in the back) After 20 minutes she came and didnt as anything, she lookes completly cool with that we left mroe than half steak, not a word if the food was good anything only if we want deserve. When im paying 60+ euros per one food in luxury 5 star hotel i would expect a top quality. I get that something can be wrong with the meat or it can be just error . But what really makes me sad is that the waitress didnt even care.

23/02/2026: Bravo dining experience. You can taste the complicity of every dish by tasting the ingredients. The combination of ingredients impressed us. As a traveller, this Chef menu allows us to taste all different signature italian cusine with high quailty. I am happy that I have chosen here for dinner.

05/02/2026: It is hard to impress me as I have been to many great restaurants but this was a fantastic experience. We felt extremely and warm welcomed. The staff was naturally friendly and attentive, very professional. It seemed everyone enjoyed their job. The dishes presentation was really stunning- just look at the pictures and videos I took. The only thing to improve would be a normal pepper mill- not this press thing- the design is very nice but I personally found it a bit irritating 😜 We all had the Gherdena menu but you don’t have to all decide on the same menu on your table like in other places. I loved that!!!! Our son doesn’t like fish so they just adjusted for him. It is the best restaurant in Val Gardena for me and we will be back next year!

13/09/2025: Super cute little hut. There are only a few spots inside, but there are additional heated/covered spots in a sort of pavilion, and plenty of spots on the terrace, which has plenty of sunny spots. Highly recommended are the pasta in sage butter with poppy seeds and Parmesan, as well as the dumpling trio.

23/08/2025: A little-publicized hut we found on the way down to Plan after visiting Passo Sella. Simple and tasty food, very friendly staff, fair prices. Everything was delicious, especially the buckwheat cake, which we absolutely loved.

07/03/2026: The last time we were in Val Gardena we visited Medel. We did this time and will again when we are here! The food was delicious and its presentation well done - from the starters through the mains to the desserts. We can only recommend this restaurant!

06/03/2026: A bit expensive. Some dishes are good, others are nothing special even among the specialties.

01/03/2026: Today we stopped at this chalet for the second time. Another day we'd just had a quick drink, but unfortunately, today, March 1, 2026, it was very disappointing. 1. The wait to be served is understandable if the products are of good quality, but after quite a while, my son's burger arrived. He kept asking me why, because it was cold and dry. If we waited so long, I thought they were preparing it. 2. I really don't think the tagliatelle with wild boar ragù were wild boar. We're always on weekends in Alto Adige, and I've never eaten wild boar like that (it tastes like canned meat). For the rest, what can I say?

10/03/2026: The food was excellent, the price-performance ratio was good, and they had a great wine list. I would definitely recommend eating there.

07/03/2026: We were a little reluctant because of some negative reviews. What a pleasant surprise though! Great food, amazing wine list and top service. Highly recommend! As with all the restaurants we visited in Val Gardena last week: be prepared to pay a significant price for your food.
