05/04/2026: Spectacularly rude service. The waiter was rude, argumentative and gave us an impression that he wanted to start a fight by insulting my wife on multiple occasions. He was talking to himself when clearing an empty table next to us. He was making unsolicited comments about some of our half eaten plates. No idea how this place has such a high rating on Google. Perhaps we were just very unlucky with our waiter and the rest of the staff are doing a professional job.

04/04/2026: It's a good place if you want fast food; they practically only serve sandwiches and hamburgers. They're very good and have a wide variety of sandwiches. The only thing that bothered me, but it's just a personal preference, was the music, especially the volume. Inside, the place is clean and very nice.

12/04/2026: We were here over Easter – Esser was very sunny, ski-in/ski-out is no longer available, but there's a shuttle service every 5 minutes to the Ciampinoi or Danterpieces lifts. The food was excellent, and Alice in the restaurant was the heart and soul of the place.

01/02/2026: We dined at this restaurant one evening during our ski holiday. Even when I made my reservation over the phone, I was struck by the courtesy and gratitude of the person on the other end. The dinner was spectacular. High-quality ingredients. If you truly want to eat typical Val Gardena cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant. The gnocchi were spectacular, as were the pappardelle with venison ragù, which was also top-notch. But for us, the venison medallions with polenta and sauerkraut were the standout! The portions were definitely more than adequate, even a little generous (but don't change them!!). I absolutely have to give a huge shout-out to Mr. Pietro, who served us impeccably and was incredibly kind and also very, very friendly. We will return to this restaurant every time we return to Selva di Val Gardena. We hope to see you in the summer! Hugs from Rome! ❤️

28/12/2025: My sister and I were staying in Selva for one night and booked this hotel the week before for an incredibly low price for what it offered (certainly due to the low season: €117). The rooms are clean, comfortable, and warm, and ours had a balcony with a beautiful view. There's a pool area with loungers, accessible free of charge to guests, as well as a wellness area offering self-service tea and other beverages, a steam bath, sauna, and shower. We booked a table for dinner and ordered dumplings in broth, ravioli, a glass of wine, a glass of water, and dessert for €61, a very reasonable price for the food and service, especially the staff who served us, who were very kind and helpful. Breakfast is included and offers a buffet and an à la carte menu with many options. One small tip: pay attention to the bill. We had two minor misunderstandings (a drink being double-counted and a moment of confusion regarding the room payment, which had already been processed), likely due to simple oversights and resolved without issue. Recommended :)

22/03/2026: We came here for the pizza nutella and we were not dissapointed. Pizza a were also very good. There is no baby cleaning station. They do have a baby/ kid Seat

19/03/2026: Be careful at this café. I had an accident on the terrace as I was entering because there were no signs warning that it was slippery, and I broke three ribs when a 12cm leg of a bench pierced my ribs. The legs were positioned facing upwards to avoid getting covered in snow. The owner, Roland Demetz, refused to reimburse me for the expenses I incurred due to the accident at his establishment. So be very careful when you're near that café. They're a bunch of crooks.

15/03/2026: Does not close at 2:30, it closes “whenever they want to close” according to condescending person on staff today. You may show up and they’ll decide it’s a different hour so be warned.

02/04/2026: A very rude waiter in a red tie. They didn’t bring us any snacks with our beer, but the other tables did.

20/03/2026: Hotel on the slopes. Large outdoor area with tables for a pleasant sunset toast.
