19/08/2026: An unforgettable culinary experience at 2,138 meters! If you're looking for an authentic gastronomic experience in the Dolomites, Baita Panorama Dantercepies is a must-see. Situated in a breathtaking location, this hut offers not only spectacular views, but also cuisine that delights the palate and warms the heart. We started with their **trio di canederli**, a true exploration of traditional flavors. Served with a fresh salad and garnished with croutons and a sprinkling of fresh chives, the canederli were simply perfect: tasty, soft, and rich in tradition. The presentation, meticulously crafted, with edible flowers adorning the dish, made the experience even more special. A dish that embodies the soul of South Tyrolean cuisine. But the real culinary surprise was the **canederli con carne**. Two generous dumplings with speck, served in a savory and enveloping stew. The tender meat melted in your mouth, while the savory sauce soaked up the dumplings, creating an irresistible combination of flavors. A crispy parmesan wafer and fresh herbs completed this rich and satisfying dish, perfect for recharging after a day outdoors. To end on a sweet note, we couldn't resist the desserts. The apple strudel is a masterpiece: a crumbly shortcrust pastry enclosing a rich apple filling, served warm with a delicious vanilla sauce on the side. A dusting of powdered sugar completes this timeless classic. And for those seeking something fresh and refined, the raspberry tiramisu served in a jar is a true delight. Layers of velvety cream alternate with an intensely flavorful raspberry coulis, all topped with fresh raspberries and mint leaves. A fresh and balanced dessert, presented in an original and inviting way. The service was attentive and friendly, the atmosphere welcoming and quaint, with the warmth of the wood enveloping guests. We can't wait to return to try other specialties and be won over once again by the flavors and breathtaking view. Highly recommended!

16/08/2026: We discovered this delightful refuge due to a service issue at the Jimmy hut, and thank goodness it happened. The location is very pleasant on the outside and completely renovated in Tyrolean style on the inside. We were immediately greeted by a waiter who sat us at a table, even though the place was full. The service was prompt. We ordered a very delicate yet flavorful nettle soup, which we will not soon forget. The spaetzle were faithfully reproduced and well-seasoned. The venison stew was well-cooked and flavorful, accompanied by speck dumplings (it's a shame they were a bit dry, not being buttered or in broth). The price was perfectly in line with the food and the service we received. We will definitely be back.

11/08/2026: Very friendly and welcoming service. Good pizzas, although a bit pricey if you want to substitute an ingredient (I'm pregnant). Fast service! I still recommend this pizzeria for its food and friendly service.

07/08/2026: We loved everything about this restaurant. Pizzas were delicious, service was terrific and ambience was amazing. We were outside and the view was breathtaking. At the end they gave us a lemoncelo, which was great.

15/06/2026: As someone who has traveled to more than 30 countries and stayed in many different hotels, I can confidently say that this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve experienced. We reserved a mini suite, and it exceeded our expectations. The room was spotless, very well equipped, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable. The view from the balcony was absolutely stunning. The food was delicious, and the staff were warm, welcoming, and accommodating to all our needs. We are very happy we chose this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

20/08/2026: Heavenly was the first word that came to mind when I cut into my pizza, a Dolomiti Special. The staff was incredibly friendly without being pushy. Highly recommended!

27/08/2026: We chose the Kronestube precisely because of its excellent reviews and reputation. The place is very quaint, and the atmosphere would certainly be pleasant, but unfortunately, our experience was severely impacted by the behavior of one waiter (thin, with long hair, tattoos, and piercings). From the moment he greeted us until the moment we paid, he treated us with an arrogant, unfriendly, and clearly condescending attitude, making us feel anything but welcome. This behavior, in our opinion, is completely out of place, especially in a place with such a positive reputation. It's truly a shame, because the rudeness of just one person can completely ruin the atmosphere and undermine the good work done by the rest of the place. We sincerely hope this was an isolated incident, because a place like the Kronestube deserves service worthy of its reputation.

25/08/2026: Large, crispy sandwich, excellent ingredients, good beer, and fast, friendly service. In Selva, you can spend a lot for even just a pizza. We had a great time here at a reasonable price (€15 per person) and will be back.

28/12/2025: My sister and I were staying in Selva for one night and booked this hotel the week before for an incredibly low price for what it offered (certainly due to the low season: €117). The rooms are clean, comfortable, and warm, and ours had a balcony with a beautiful view. There's a pool area with loungers, accessible free of charge to guests, as well as a wellness area offering self-service tea and other beverages, a steam bath, sauna, and shower. We booked a table for dinner and ordered dumplings in broth, ravioli, a glass of wine, a glass of water, and dessert for €61, a very reasonable price for the food and service, especially the staff who served us, who were very kind and helpful. Breakfast is included and offers a buffet and an à la carte menu with many options. One small tip: pay attention to the bill. We had two minor misunderstandings (a drink being double-counted and a moment of confusion regarding the room payment, which had already been processed), likely due to simple oversights and resolved without issue. Recommended :)

18/08/2026: This very popular refuge is the first stop on the route to Seceda. The chairlift also takes you right there, making it a popular stop for tourists needing breakfast or a quick restroom visit. We enter, and there are no cakes on display at the counter (which is the case in 99% of restaurants and refuges throughout South Tyrol) or a price list. We sit down, and when the waitress arrives, she doesn't give us a menu, nor does she tell us the prices or what to order. We order a slice of Sacher torte and a cappuccino: the worst cappuccino ever! The coffee is burnt, and the milk is either a bit open or the milk jug wasn't clean. Even though I added sugar, it tasted a bit rancid. The Sacher torte is equally poor: dry, almost tasteless, refrigerator-cold, the apricot jam tastes insipid, and the chocolate ganache doesn't match the rest of the cake. The sensation in my mouth was as if they had superimposed it on the cake, giving a sense of incompleteness and superficiality. Bill: 13 euros for a whole lot of cake and a cappuccino! The worst place for tourist-pluckers I've ever found in the mountains, and this is coming from someone who's been going there for 11 years. Lack of transparency, no prices communicated whatsoever, all based on the fact that 1) 99% of the customers lack the gastronomic culture to understand that a Sacher torte and cappuccino like that would be too expensive even if they cost 3 euros in total, given the NON-quality of the products, and 2) tourists are always seen as a herd of stupid and ignorant animals ready to pay anything just to take an Instagrammable photo in a famous place to post to "make friends, colleagues, and relatives jealous." Places like these can only thrive in highly touristy circumstances like Seceda, a bit like the turnstile where people pay to see the famous "razors" (and there, too, an Instagrammable photo). In a meritocratic country, you should both find a job; you'll probably make more money doing that than the (few) honest people around you. I'll leave you with this thought: refuge, from the Latin ferugium, meaning a place to rest (50 cents for those who go to the bathroom without a drink), or an escape route, something you try to avoid as much as possible with your complete lack of transparency. Change your name; breakfast boutique or dessert atelier is more appropriate.

01/02/2026: We dined at this restaurant one evening during our ski holiday. Even when I made my reservation over the phone, I was struck by the courtesy and gratitude of the person on the other end. The dinner was spectacular. High-quality ingredients. If you truly want to eat typical Val Gardena cuisine, I highly recommend this restaurant. The gnocchi were spectacular, as were the pappardelle with venison ragù, which was also top-notch. But for us, the venison medallions with polenta and sauerkraut were the standout! The portions were definitely more than adequate, even a little generous (but don't change them!!). I absolutely have to give a huge shout-out to Mr. Pietro, who served us impeccably and was incredibly kind and also very, very friendly. We will return to this restaurant every time we return to Selva di Val Gardena. We hope to see you in the summer! Hugs from Rome! ❤️

07/07/2026: Stopped by for a few hours to use their Spa. Impeccable Spa facilities and very kind staff. The massage was one of the best I've ever had and I've had a lot of massages.

12/04/2026: We were here over Easter – Esser was very sunny, ski-in/ski-out is no longer available, but there's a shuttle service every 5 minutes to the Ciampinoi or Danterpieces lifts. The food was excellent, and Alice in the restaurant was the heart and soul of the place.

10/08/2026: I made an unplanned stop for lunch at the Dantercepies Mountain Lounge and I was so glad that I did. I had the tasty and well-presented mezzelune (ravioli filled with spinach and ricotta). The service was very good and the view amazing.

08/08/2026: Do you want paradise, crisp air, breathtaking views, one of the most beautiful places in the world? Come to this refuge and you're done! And then, eating with a view like this is priceless! The food was divine: Storo polenta with venison, tagliatelle with venison, and the legendary dumplings in broth that were simply breathtaking! A true delight!

29/03/2026: The seating was nice. The pasta was too soft. 6€ for a Spezi (a popular German soft drink) is steep.

28/03/2026: We skied the Sellaronda and were on our way to another mountain hut, two lifts further on, when the smell of the grill caught our eye. So, we spontaneously decided to stop here. We found a lovely spot outside in the sun. The service was excellent, the food delicious – what more could you want? Smaller and more charming than many other huts. We especially appreciated the lack of self-service.
