11/06/2025: This was our second time at the Freina. A wonderful, family-run hotel in Selva. Both the owners and the staff are extremely friendly. The rooms (in our case, the panoramic room) are very spacious and beautifully furnished. The balcony with a view of the Sella massif is fantastic. Breakfast is excellent. The restaurant (à la carte) is even better in the evening. We would be happy to come back.

21/06/2025: Many special features come together here. The location is unique and offers a fantastic view. Next comes the architecture. The hotel is beautiful from the outside, and this continues throughout the interior. Wood and stone are everywhere, beautifully crafted, and beautifully lit at night. The attention to detail is a unique selling point, and I haven't encountered anything like it anywhere else. Everything is in perfect condition, the staff were always friendly, and the food was delicious. A wonderful stay that we will fondly remember for a long time.

17/06/2025: Anyone who knows it goes back again and again. And not just because of Helga's excellent strudel. We used to come back here as children. It makes my heart beat faster; it's where I want to be. Whenever you're there, you know you're in a wonderful place and can enjoy amazing food. The menu is full of food, full of food. THANK YOU

17/06/2025: Fantastic experience at restaurant Costabella! The staff were incredibly friendly, authentic, and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. You can even let the chef surprise you with a custom pizza – a fun and tasty option! Highly recommended! Compliments to the chef!

12/06/2025: I received a very friendly welcome and was served in English, which I found pleasant. I ordered a pizza and a tiramisu to go. I was particularly pleased that I received the tiramisu in a glass container, which I could easily return the next day. The dessert was truly delicious. The pizza, however, unfortunately didn't impress me. The tomato sauce was quite bland, the cheese seemed artificial, and overall the pizza was so dry that I didn't want to eat the crust. Unfortunately, the flavor wasn't appealing.

27/06/2025: Since I discovered it about 15 years ago, it has always been the place where I feel best both in terms of the quality of the products offered and the prices charged.

29/06/2025: Excellent restaurant 200 m from Nives Platz. I had been trying for days to taste some local tradition but many restaurants in the valley have moved towards modernity closer to metropolitan tastes than to mountain flavors. In a pleasant environment we were able to taste excellent canederli, which reminded me of home flavors, sliced ​​beef, polenta and goulash, polenta with melted cheese and sausage. All at honest prices, with impeccable service, welcoming and friendly even with the little ones. I will return

27/06/2025: We arrived by chance for our first holiday in Selva Gardena and were welcomed in this place by a very kind and hospitable waiter. He helped us choose the dishes and recommended an excellent combination for the dishes presented. Our compliments to the chef who introduced us to the Veri canederli (excellent with goulash) but above all to Pietro and all the staff. Highly recommended if you want to feel at home even if you are miles away. Thank you so much!

23/06/2025: To relax, feel pampered, enjoy excellent food, professional but friendly service - choose Hotel Armin! The rooms are clean and spacious, renovated and comfortable. The location is excellent and very central in Selva, all the routes are easily accessible. The staff is extremely kind and friendly, as well as very helpful. The cuisine is varied and always offers options for vegetarians and vegans. In short, the only problem is that at a certain point you have to leave again! I highly recommend it and would return for a future stay in Selva.

20/03/2025: Wow! Excellent service. I’m a vegan, and every night they specifically created a special 4 course meal just for me! Service excellent. Nothing was ever a problem. Never waited more than 5 mins for the shuttle bus. They truly go above and beyond. Excellent views and so conveniently located to everything you can need. It’s the best hotel in the area for sure!

13/02/2025: The hotel has a very nice hotel bar, there was even live music that evening, which contributed to a relaxed atmosphere. Unfortunately there were few guests on site that evening. The cocktail 🍸 prices are appropriate for the high-quality location.

26/06/2025: Due to the war that broke out in our country, all flights were canceled and we could not get to the hotel. Although the free cancellation period had ended, we contacted the hotel and asked them to consider the special situation and cancel or change the dates. They did not agree and 500 euros remained with them. We decided that if we did not enjoy it, then we would give it to someone else, and we did advertise on Facebook, and a couple who were stuck in Italy and could not return to Israel were happy to receive it as a gift. They said that they had enjoyed the hotel, but unfortunately people are measured in difficult moments. And the hotel did not know how to support and help us. Therefore, no matter how good the rooms and service are considered, we will not come and will not recommend it.

25/06/2025: Nice decorated Hotel. Rooms are new and clean. Shower is fine. Breakfast is good. BUT; Unfortunately and kind of strange; there is no airconditioning in the rooms, so it is quite warm/hot during the night. The air-quality, temperaturewise, is not so good in the Hotel overal. And it was not even hot outside while we where there. The service at the terrace is quite slow when you arrive. Our main goal was MTB, and that was a big succes.

21/06/2025: Phenomenal place! We came here on eMTB bikes on our way to Seceda. This place owes its extraordinary charm to its beautiful views. The stay here is made more pleasant by the sensational taste of each meal. You can expect excellent service and the fulfillment of several gastronomic whims (thx to Luca!). The quality of the toilets is 21st century and there is no shame here. Thank you! We will come back here!

11/06/2025: The owner Luca is a friendly and easy-going young man who takes care of everything and knows how to welcome you in a lively and kind way... Franziska was impeccable in the service and very kind! They are a magnificent and genuine couple and you will find them in traditional clothes that will make you live a true South Tyrolean experience! The dishes are abundant, handmade with genuine ingredients. We did not miss anything: we tried the trio of canederli, the spinach ravioli, the Skiwasser and the Kaiserschmarrn with currant jam... All DELICIOUS!!

23/03/2025: Food was very creative in concept and artful in presentation. Didn’t like the fish dish. They worked around my allergies, but I could tell it was a challenge for them and not something they’re overly excited to have to do for guests. They did go out of their way and try and make gluten-free bread as the packaged options they offered were not very tasty. While the bread was a little bit of a flop. I certainly appreciate the effort. My husband loved the “mold” dish. Wines by the glass were also very good. Service overall was very good, but the timing was off with trying to serve several tables at once multiple courses and we waited over 45 minutes between our last course and dessert. After dessert, they come out with another set of tasty bites to try and send you home with some cookies. Nice touches.

16/03/2025: Exquisite food for foodies. Service was friendly and attentive when available but a little slow. We had to pour our own water and wine sometimes. This doesn't usually bother me, but one excepts top attention for top money paid. Especially for the $150 per person Surprise Menu.
