30/09/2023: We were in Zwickmair in the evening on September 28th, 2024 and enjoyed the “von ols a bissl” menu on the terrace. Everything freshly prepared, South Tyrolean cuisine, creatively and modernly interpreted. Compliments to the kitchen. The service is quick and very friendly. We really enjoyed the evening, you can feel the passion with which the Grubers design this great place. We will be back!

03/04/2024: Unfortunately a very bad experience. Noisy location, tables too close together, diner service for tourists, hasty and frenetic. The main problem, however, was the food: tagliatelle with asparagus tasted like nothing: plain pasta, tasteless. The radicchio and sausage risotto is mediocre. With prices, obviously, from the historic center. Experience not to be repeated. Not recommended. "Rip-off" restaurant for tourists.

02/04/2024: Great atmosphere in the basement. The four of us tried different foods that were very different in quality. I think that, as the other reviews suggest, you should concentrate on a fish or pizza dish. The white house wine was surprisingly good :) unfortunately the service slowed down after the drinks and food were brought. But all in all okay.

04/04/2024: Went to the Schlossgarten restaurant for lunch. The waiters sometimes seemed disoriented, which became clear by constantly searching for the right table to place the order. The quality and presentation of the dishes is below average. What you can't really say about the prices. These are rather above average. During our week's stay in South Tyrol we paid less for food and drinks in some places, sometimes even in hotels. But in the Schlossgarten restaurant they are happy to take the money of tourists who have no other choice within the area. It's a shame that you don't have higher standards for yourself and are satisfied with mediocrity. Addendum to the answer from the operator: So we didn't have any snow. How you determine our feelings from the weather remains to be seen. Why you use the comparison to German restaurants as well. However, all of this strongly suggests how seriously you take criticism or see it as an opportunity.

28/03/2024: I like to rate restaurants based on their "simple" dishes and first impressions when meeting the staff in person. Had the best pizza in a long time, because making good pizza, really really good pizza, isn't easy at all and my partner's lasagne was an absolute dream. The staff was very friendly, courteous and attentive, so you like being served. There was also humor and you could tell that the staff enjoyed doing their job.

27/08/2023: We met up with friends there in July because of the good reviews. In addition to Italian, the young bartender only speaks English very, very poorly. A colleague/guest helped because there was no card. We let ourselves be surprised and only specified the rough flavor (vodka, rum, fruit). Despite different orders, we all had the same cocktail, which didn't necessarily taste good. But we were relaxed, in the holiday mood and ready to give the bartender a second chance. So we ordered internationally famous cocktails: Swimming Pool and Pina Colada. We then thought nothing could go wrong. The swimming pool consisted of 1 cup of cream and was so disgusting that I probably won't drink it again for years. A dried orange slice was thrown in as decoration. My friends had a similar experience with the Pina Colada. And because there was no map, we didn't know the prices in advance. The total price was absolutely outrageous and there was no bill either. I can only advise every tourist away from this bar. Worst cocktail bar I've ever visited.

04/01/2024: Good food; Service: Fairly quick; Location: Modern, very nice and welcoming; Price: in line with prices in the area. Given that we stopped on the fly, after 8.30pm before returning to the hotel, it was one of the very few places still open. We simply ordered a coffee and a mini Sacher at the counter. However, the boys made us sit at a table and a waiter, after a few moments, showed up with the drink. Apart from a small mistake on the coffee which was supposed to be espresso instead of macchiato, it still turned out quite good; the mini Sacher was tasty, a pity about the sponge cake which, being in the refrigerated counter, had hardened a little. In any case, in the days that we remain in Merano, we will return to try something else! We really liked the place, well looked after, bright and welcoming!

21/03/2024: I would give 0 stars. A place that I often frequented to eat Neapolitan pizza, but recently they have changed everything. Today was the last time I often spend money and time in this place. Neapolitan pizza is no longer eaten here. The raw materials are of low quality, the dough is not understood.. You can't eat it. Parking 1 hour €6, in a garage and stairway that smells of garbage and expired food. The girls who work inside seem pissed off, rude, I can understand that work is tiring, I did it too, but kindness and willingness must always be. I am disappointed. Horrible experience. The only positive thing this evening was the waiter: really kind, attentive and courteous. I don't wish a dinner like that on anyone.

17/03/2024: The pizzas were good, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Unfortunately the music was far too loud for our taste, so we deducted one star.

05/01/2024: We ate excellently. The taste was great, unfortunately the portions were very clear and not enough for the price. We were all still hungry.

28/12/2023: Fast service and friendly staff, welcoming place, right portions if you're not very hungry. Dumplings in broth €8, herb tagliatelle with melted cheese €14, very good in my opinion
