01/08/2025: Very kind people, good pizza, and top-notch pastries. They serve lunch during the day, and in the evening, in addition to pizza by the slice or round, they serve an aperitif buffet. They have tobacco and Sisal services (such as paying bills). They can also host parties in the downstairs room. In short, a perfect place for any occasion.

19/07/2025: Excellent tobacco bar, offering a great aperitivo service, with plenty of appetizers. They make excellent pizza, and their pastries are also truly delicious. They have several rooms, including outdoor seating. Parking is a hassle, but that's not their fault, of course. They also offer an Alia garbage bag collection service.

26/07/2025: Utopia is the local hotspot, and has been for me for the last year I've been working in Santa Lucia. The atmosphere is casual, clean, and tidy. Family-run by Stefano, Rossella, and Elena, they're always kind, helpful, and cheerful. Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch, and aperitifs. Elena's cuisine is a must-try. The dishes are tasty, plentiful, and sophisticated, and excellent value.

24/06/2025: What can I say, in my opinion the best pizza in Poggio a Caiano... The pizza is very thin, just as I like it, and plenty of toppings. There aren't many seats, so I recommend booking in advance, I succeeded at the third try. Importantly, very honest prices. I really recommend.

14/06/2025: Pizza as I like it.... Fine, very fine, perfectly seasoned with good ingredients. The desserts are also excellent. Family atmosphere. The only flaw is the parking, not exactly easy to find. I recommend booking

21/06/2025: A beautiful surprise in the heart of Prato. A welcoming, young and lively place without slipping into the usual "Americanization". The two managers, brothers, have really been able to combine a classic and elegant spirit with the desire of young people and adults to meet. A meeting place, clean, quiet, welcoming. We will definitely be back. Well done and thank you for the welcome.

19/06/2025: I celebrated my birthday and I have to say it was really disappointing… I asked for a dessert and I got a completely different and expensive one… We had an aperitif with drinks (20€ each), and while we were still eating, halfway through the celebrations a rude waitress (very, very rude) arrives and asks us all to pay and starts going around with the POS. If they are afraid of not receiving the money, let them pay immediately at the entrance or directly at the end of the party, as is done everywhere!! WITHOUT DISTURBING THE CUSTOMERS

27/08/2025: I went to this place for dinner with friends. We ate outside; the atmosphere is nice and welcoming. There's parking nearby. The staff is courteous and fast. The pizza was quite good, though not exceptional: mine was slightly burned on the sides and had very little salt, but it wasn't bad. Pizza, dessert, and water: €20. I think I'll be back.

26/08/2025: Pizzeria restaurant with ample parking nearby. Large, friendly staff. Good food and excellent pizzas. Menu with a wide selection of dishes, including seafood. Average prices.

20/07/2025: Excellent pizza for years, good appetizers and desserts too. Good service, and excellent Spaten beer. I always go there for the excellent pizza and the 80s/90s atmosphere.

02/09/2025: The café is very well located, with a perfectly designed indoor and outdoor space. My only complaint is that by 8:30 there are practically no breakfast options left. I don't consider what I've tried to be quality. The atmosphere is always very pleasant and it's a popular meeting point for aperitifs. Please serve the Aperol in a proper glass, not a full glass of ice.

08/06/2025: Neither good nor bad. Average pinsa, nothing exceptional, shabby place. Question: if they sell Eurospin beer, where do they get the other products they use? Update following the response of the place: Ah, perfect! Finally a place that focuses on transparency, all served with a sprinkling of sarcasm. Original as a concept, it's just a shame it wasn't mentioned on the menu. Next time, maybe I'll go straight to Eurospin: at least there I can choose what to eat and pay half.

18/08/2025: Unfortunately, the experience was very negative because I found a hair in my pappardelle with ragù. I didn't even try it because it was wrapped in the first pappardelle I ate. It can happen, but the negative aspect was the owner's reaction: he didn't apologize for what had happened, he wasn't sorry, and he accused us of having placed the hair on us, for some unknown reason. Behavior that was SHAMEFUL, OFFENSIVE, AND UNSUITABLE FOR THOSE WHO WORK WITH THE PUBLIC IN THE RESTAURANT INDUSTRY. On the bill, I saw one pappardelle removed, but instead he added a €9 cover charge for two people. DISAPPOINTING BEHAVIOR, and once again SHAMEFUL. GOODBYE OSTERIA DEI MERCANTI... Dear owner of Osteria dei Mercanti...you write many untrue things, you're not honest in what you say... We didn't come to your place for lunch, but for dinner. The very young waiter didn't apologize at all when he came to get the pappardelle, nor did he ask if we wanted anything else. I was the one who, seeing your total indifference to what had happened, and no longer wanting to eat, signaled him from afar to stop bringing anything. But the young man didn't ask us anything and later even confirmed it to you. YOU were aware of what had happened and, as the owner, you could have come to us and apologized. I want to emphasize that THE PROBLEM wasn't the hair immediately found in the pappardelle. It can happen, it does happen, and WE didn't make a big deal out of it; in fact, we politely and privately spoke to the waiter. SHE created the problem because when we came to pay and told her what had happened, she started by saying, "SHUT UP, I'LL DECIDE HOW TO PAY THE BILLS," and in a very arrogant tone, she added, "YOU COULD HAVE PUT THE HAIR ON OUR PLATE TOO." She called us dishonest, she offended us, and after that, she also wanted us to keep quiet and not respond to her OFFENSIVE, SHAMEFUL, ARROGANT, AND RUDE behavior. We are people with principles. We've certainly never done things in our lives, and then I wonder why we should do this? For what purpose? One thing is certain: AS THE OWNER, YOU HAVE BEHAVED REALLY, REALLY BADLY. BEING IN THE PUBLIC IS AN ART, SOMETHING SHE MISSES, AND WITH WHAT SHE WROTE IN HER RESPONSE, SHE AGAIN SHOWED WHAT A PERSON SHE IS, THAT NOT ALL CUSTOMERS ARE PLEASED. SHE MISSED A GREAT OPPORTUNITY AGAIN, THAT OF SAYING "SORRY, IT CAN HAPPEN, I WAS SO SORRY."... THAT WAS ENOUGH FOR US... A SOME ADVICE...WORK ON YOUR MANNERS AND GOOD POLLUTION, YOU WILL GET MORE CUSTOMERS EVEN IF SOMEONE MIGHT FIND A HAIR IN THEIR FOOD...

13/08/2025: Arrived there at eight, took 15 minutes before we got water, 50 minutes before we got our drinks. We ordered a platter, two pasta dishes and tagliate steak. The mercanti platter was great, so that brings it up to 3 stars. But the waiting time was so long. Others arrived, ordered, got food, ate, and left before we got our pasta. The pasta dishes were ok, and there were some language difficulties so the steak we tried to say we wanted with the pasta showed up later, but as a tourist i cant blame the owner for only speaking italian. Although continuing to speak italian to us when we clearly did not speak it felt weird. We where there for two and a half hours for that dinner, and the waiter never tried to ask us if we wanted more to drink while waiting, even though all our glasses were empty. Some of the issues might have been a language problem, but we still felt the service was very lacking
