04/08/2025: A charming location, nestled on a hill among vineyards and orchards, with a terrace overlooking the sea from Bocca di Magra to Versilia. Simple, traditional cuisine, a few dishes but with just the right flavors. The focaccia with the cutting board was excellent. We followed it with tordelli massesi and tagliatelle with mushrooms, typical dishes of the Massa area. Everything is homemade, as are the desserts, where a few more options would have been appreciated. The service is welcoming and attentive, and Gaia entertains guests with kindness, courtesy, and professionalism! We spent a wonderful evening enjoying good food!

01/11/2025: One of my guests asked for a large portion of a first course and, effervescent, received a large portion of the dish, but the bill was charged for two portions of that dish without informing him. This was truly despicable behavior. The food was passable, nothing exceptional.

21/06/2025: Nel centro di Marina di Massa, ma in una zona un po’ defilata e perciò molto tranquilla, a pochi metri dalla chiesa, c’è questo piccolo angolo prevalentemente di cucina siciliana. Nella piccola stanza l’ambiente è molto gradevole e accoglie i pochi tavoli presenti. Nella bella stagione si può anche stare fuori nel dehor di fronte alla strada. Il menù è molto curato con interessanti proposte soprattutto di cucina siciliana. La mano di Mariano, lo chef e proprietario, è attenta a bilanciate i vari ingredienti tutti di ottima qualità (fatti arrivare appositamente da Mazara del Vallo, la sua terra di origine) e a far esaltare tutti i loro profumi e i loro sapori. Anche l’impiattamento è fatto con attenzione e cura. Da segnalare le busiate alla Mariano (con pistacchi e gamberi rosa) e le chitarrine ai ricci di mare e gamberi rosa, entrambe notevoli anche se a gusto dei commensali avevano bisogno di un po’ più di sale. Molto buona la parmigiana alla siciliana con fonduta di parmigiano e le sarde a beccafico. Alla fine un tripudio di dolcezza siciliana con il cannolo e la cassatina, tutti di ottima qualità con una ricotta super. Il sevizio davvero molto professionale ma discreto e non invadente. Interessante la carta dei vini con etichette, soprattutto siciliane, di buon livello.
Locale consigliatissimo per ci vuole assaporare il pesce di buona qualità a prezzi onesti, in alternativa alla proposta locale che ultimamente sta diventando molto ardua in punto qualità e soprattutto per i costi.
18/06/2025: Piacevolmente stupiti.
Con la mia compagna siamo stati due giorni a Marina di massa e grazie a TripAdvisor ho scoperto questo ristorante. In posizione centrale ma di poco defilato dal centro (quindi meno casino e meno difficoltà a parcheggiare in caso si andasse in auto). Cucina mediterranea, siciliana prevalentemente pesce ma anche altro. Ottimi piatti, pesce freschissimo e ben cucinato. Io ho preso una Busiata con pistacchi e pesce, la mia compagna un antipasto caldo di mare, buonissimi, poi di secondo un fritto misto e lei un tonno al sesamo. Tutto ottimo e porzioni abbondanti. Buono anche in vino al calice. Bravi e precisi nel servizio. Sicuramente ci tornerò.

22/07/2025: Sono stato qui 2/3 volte e ogni volta l’atmosfera vale la distanza da casa. Si mangia in mezzo alle vigne! Ottimo Candia, neanche a dirlo, è buona cucina. Unica pecca: personalmente trovo le porzioni di cibo un po’ piccole… Ma bisogna anche dire che i prezzi sono assai più bassi della media. Lo consiglio!
13/07/2025: Locatino stupenda immersa nei vigneti, ottimo anche per bambini che scarrozzano in mezzo al verde, personale super cordiale, ottimo vino produzione propria, ottimi i tordelli massese e la frittura, chiara, croccante e da assaggiare i dolci:la torta di riso perfetta e anche crostate e yogurt. Ps. Mia figlia si è mangiata anche tre pere raccolte dalle piante da frutto attorno ai tavoli. 🥰

14/10/2025: I'm giving it three stars because the owners are truly good and pleasant, and I'd hate for the staff's behavior to cause the place to lose a score...
I ask for a glass of water.
Two girls at the counter: one blonde and one with black hair and bangs.
Do they look at me? No. Do they talk to me? Not a chance.
The blonde moves away, and I follow her, thinking she was serving me... instead, she goes straight to serve a table, as if I were part of the decor.
The other one, the one with bangs, meanwhile arranges cookies one by one with absolute calm, completely ignoring me.
Then, with the grace of someone who deigns to serve me, she offers me the water without saying a word or looking up.
I say "thank you," but nothing, absolute silence.
It's not a question of water, it's a question of attitude.
Being kind isn't optional; it's the bare minimum.
A little tip: fewer cookies, more customer service—maybe that way they'll learn that even a "hello" isn't out of style. 😉
If I come often, I'll delete or edit the review if I see a change. ✨

05/08/2025: Welcoming place, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food. I've rarely tasted such high-quality fish, cooked to perfection. The side of tasty vegetables (not frozen) deserves special mention. I'll definitely be back.
03/08/2025: Good food, but unacceptable service. We ordered takeout at 8:00 PM, and the pizzas arrived 20 minutes later. While waiting, I heard other people complaining about the delays at their tables. If you can't serve everyone, you should inform your customers, not make them wait indefinitely.

01/11/2025: I don't feel like writing and wasting time on people like that, but I'll just say one thing: we paid 160 euros for 4 pizzas and wine. As a good customer, I wished them to close as soon as possible, in fact, a place with plenty of seating was empty for a party. So my prophecy is about to come true 💪💪💪💪🙂

18/11/2025: Peposo is phenomenal. Lean, well-cooked meat, with just the right amount of spice. Warm focaccia with Nutella...a must-try. Very intimate place that deserves a little more space inside. Definitely recommended 👍🏻

14/11/2025: For us, this restaurant will go down in history. I'll explain why later.
We visited in the first ten days of November and found it purely by chance on Google Maps. The atmosphere is relaxed, just how we like it. They hosted us with our two little dogs. We ordered ravioli, and when we tasted them, my partner (who is a pasta maker) was thrilled because he realized it wasn't industrial pasta, but rather homemade pasta, with an excellent filling and plenty of it. We had fried fish, a slice of beef, and two tiramisu made by them. After paying the bill, I told them we'd be back the next evening because everything was delicious and we couldn't wait to try the menu again. Unfortunately, they told us they were closed. At that point, the owner Fabrizio, hearing our disappointment, said, "Well, if it's safe to come tomorrow, I'll open just for you, but no pizza because the wood-fired oven is out." And so it was. The next evening, we showed up right on time and ordered two tortellini with meat sauce, two beef tagliata (which our dogs also enjoyed), and two tiramisu. We had the place all to ourselves, which allowed us to have a lovely chat with Fabrizio, who told us the history of the place and its name. A wonderful holiday, ending in the best possible way. Thank you, Fabrizio, and all the staff. We'll be back as soon as we're in the area.
