03/05/2026: I stopped by this pub to watch a Formula 1 race (they have SKY) during a weekend in Follonica. The beers on tap were very good, the atmosphere was great, and the staff was friendly and courteous. I'll definitely be back!

28/04/2026: The atmosphere is lovely, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the young owners. The menu is good, more like a restaurant than a pub, and the prices are reasonable.

18/04/2026: Excellent cuisine and very friendly staff. To describe my experience I would say everything was "WONDERFUL".

16/04/2026: We booked for 15, including 8 adults and 7 children (we specified over the phone that we had 7 children aged 7 to 10). We entered calmly and quietly, but were greeted by the staff in an unprofessional manner. At the entrance, a waiter addressed one of the children, who was simply talking, saying "quietly and quietly" instead of a good evening and welcome. Naturally, we pointed out that if the children were bothersome, we could leave, and so we did. We had a three-day vacation planned in the area, and the restaurant was convenient for lunches or dinners, but obviously we preferred more welcoming places. A terrible experience that lasted 2 minutes. PS: The restaurant owner's response to this review shows how incredibly courteous he is.

28/05/2026: The kitchen is well-equipped and the dining room is a thriving place. Reservations are recommended; in winter, it's only open on weekends.

13/08/2026: First of all, I'd like to compliment you: the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and the owner is a "friendly and helpful character": The seafood first course and mushroom first course were excellent! The fried main course was superb, and above all, the rib eye was delicious. The service was fast and punctual! The atmosphere and location were beautiful! I definitely recommend it.

08/08/2026: We had a wonderful evening last night. The restaurant is located on the pedestrian street leading to Follonica, the food is truly excellent, and the staff is very knowledgeable and courteous. Having a restaurant like this so close to home is truly exceptional!!! The prices are in line with the quality of the food, but I highly recommend it if you want to enjoy good seafood.

28/07/2026: A regular stop every time I'm in Follonica. The place is small but well-maintained and the food is divine. They showcase local ingredients in a simple and delicious way, achieving excellent results. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Wow, it's delicious!

15/11/2025: On a small street not far from the sea, this restaurant offers an excellent seafood menu with a wide selection of wines, including bottles to go. We went for lunch, and despite the restaurant being fully booked, the service was prompt and accurate. We loved the dishes we chose, and the freshness of the ingredients was evident. Highly recommended.

26/10/2025: From what we'd heard, it seemed like the pinnacle of seafood, but it was a disappointment; not so much for the quality of the fish, which was excellent, but for the location, the service, and the dishes, which left much to be desired. The place was small and decorated like a banal pizzeria in a local club, the service bordered on polite (smiling and asking if everything was okay would be recommended), the food, good for the quality of the ingredients, but cooked inappropriately for the price. The gnocchi were soaked in oil, the paranza wasn't really a real one, but rather a banal fried fish dish (the regulations limit fish to a maximum of 12 cm in size), the potatoes called chips on the menu were cut very thick and raw. Not to mention the prices, which, for an osteria, were truly exorbitant. Finally, if I had read earlier how rudely the owner responds to negative reviews, I wouldn't have set foot there.

01/08/2026: Tasty food and very nice waiter, there was a mixup in our order and they gave us the food we ordered an let us eat the food that they made due to the mix up :)) waiter was very friendly and when he heard we are polish he tried to speak to us in polish which was quite nice overall i would definitely reccomend :D

28/07/2026: There are still some people who work with passion. My wife and I had a simple dinner here, but it's really the first time on this holiday that I've tasted every ingredient. Quality is definitely a given here. I recommend it to everyone.

13/06/2026: We dined at Il Pirata at the recommendation of a dear cured meat supplier. We were looking for a quality restaurant to enjoy a well-made Cacciucco. At Il Pirata, we found excellence in every way. From the beautiful venue, both indoors and outdoors, to the very kind staff, the excellent food, the carefully sourced raw materials, all our dishes were consistently above our expectations. The Cacciucco is made exactly like our grandmothers used to make. If you pass through Follonica, definitely dine at this restaurant. You'll take home a memory you'll definitely want to share. Thanks to Stefano, his adorable son, and all the staff.
