03/05/2025: The Nello restaurant is what we can define as a TRUE RESTAURANT. Managed by attentive and professional young people. Super cuisine with attention to raw materials and presentation. The menu is made up of 4 tasting menus (with plenty of choice) but it is also possible to order à la carte. We chose the fish menu and had a great time. It is not easy to find restaurants with this passion for cooking and with such attention to customers. Well done and........ keep it up. See you soon

05/05/2025: Montefiridolfi è un paesino di tre case messe in croce tra loro nelle campagne tra Firenze e Siena. Nemmeno tanto caratteristico. Se non mi avesse indicato un mio amico questo ristorante non ci sarei mai e poi mai passato e fermato. Pensavo di andare a cena in uno dei soliti ristoranti acchiappa turisti, come ce ne sono tanti e invece mi sbagliavo di brutto. Il proprietario sembra un personaggio scappato da un film di Pieraccioni. Il locale è formato da una stanza ( il fondo di casa come diciamo noi nel fiorentino) dove al massimo massimo ci stanno una ventina di persone. Tutti a gomito a gomito, con mobilio e tavoli comprati ad un mercatino delle pulci o da un rigattiere toscano , non un piatto uguale all’altro ne un bicchiere o una tazzina del caffè simili tra loro. L’arredamento è bellissimo. Arrivi e trovi in tavola due bottiglie di acqua e un fiasco di vino. Molto buono visto la zona. Sembra di cenare nel fondo di nostra Nonna tra amici, come quando facciamo le tavolate con le braciate e si mangia i che c’è c’è. Tutta roba genuina . Pochi piatti. Tutti espressi, e di questi tempi non è poco. Cibo buonissimo. In una recenzione ho visto dare un voto basso per via della confusione , ma se non si vuole la confusione non si va a cenare in locali di questo tipo. Si va all’enoteca Pinchiorri o da Cracco con la filodiffusione di musica da camera. Io ieri sera con locale pieno e un tavolo con tre cani ci sono stato proprio bene. Un antipastone toscano ( verdure grigliate vari tipi di crostini formaggi salumi ecc…) Una fettuccina ai funghi porcini portati direttamente nel padellino uno gnocco con tartufo stratosferico e un arista in crosta con verdure e patate . Il tutto buonissimo . Per finire mix di dolci fatti in casa vin santo grappa e caffe nella moca. Erano due caffe ma con una moca intera a disposizione l’ho bevuto anche io che non lo volevo. Vin santo e grappa offerti. Mentre faceva il conto il proprietario ha guardato il fiasco bevuto a metà e mi ha fatto pagate mezzo fiasco di vino. Prezzi visto le portate e il cibo più che buono . Uno degli ultimi baluardi della ristorazione toscana che resiste al tempo del consumismo sfrenato Da non perdere assolutamente !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

01/04/2025: Fantastic spot for coffee, drinks, lunch, or dinner! The owner is absolutely wonderful—she speaks English and is incredibly kind. We love the sandwiches and salads, and her daily specials are always a delicious treat. Highly recommend!

30/01/2025: A super experience! We took a tour of the cellars, a wine tasting and an excellent cooking class with Eduardo (Eddie). The 14thC Castello is worth visiting even without the cooking class, a great way to spend an afternoon in Eduardo's capable hands. So good we are going back in a few months!

21/04/2025: During a trip through the cities of Tuscany we decided to have Easter lunch at this trattoria, found on the antinori website. The Instagram profile immediately inspired us, and we called to secure the place. We had a great time, the staff were really friendly and helpful: they were able to satisfy our every request. My favorite dish was the gnocchi with pecorino and truffle, really delicious but in reality everything we ate was excellent. the view is really beautiful, also easy to reach: it is just a few minutes from the motorway and the road is very panoramic. I highly recommend it :)

22/04/2025: Agriosteria del Frantoio, in Cerbaia (Scandicci), combines a working oil mill with a modern restaurant that enhances local flavors with passion and care. I was there for a 50th anniversary and I found the staff very kind and knowledgeable. As a vegan, I was served a dedicated, rich and creative menu, which also intrigued the other guests! The chef explained each dish carefully and was available for last-minute adaptations. The menu included crostini with oil from the mill, cannellini beans and black cabbage, artichoke carpaccio, eggless tagliatelle with vegan ragù, asparagus risotto, polenta with seasonal vegetables and an excellent oil ice cream with crumble and red fruits. All dishes were 100% vegan, tasty, well thought out and plentiful. Fresh, high quality ingredients, processed with attention and respect for seasonality. A highly recommended experience for those looking for authentic, inclusive and well-made Tuscan cuisine.

12/04/2025: I returned after a year but I had a very good time again. The raw artichoke dish with parmesan flakes was fantastic and the crusted pork wonderful. Excellent wine list. Pleasant environment and professional, smiling service. I confirm the excellent quality/price combination. Interesting menu, next time I'll book for the tagliatelle with colonnade lard. Good good sweets. I highly recommend

10/05/2025: Ho scelto Il Mulinaccio per festeggiare la Prima Comunione di mia figlia. Fin dal primo incontro abbiamo avuto l'impressione di una grande professionalità ed esperienza. Il signor Marco è tutto il personale sono stati disponibilissimi ed attenti a soddisfare ogni nostra esigenza. Il posto è molto bello e spazioso, ci sono state garantite una location all'aperto e una al chiuso per poter festeggiare serenamente senza doversi preoccupare delle previsioni meteo! Il pranzo è stato ottimo e abbondante, i prezzi sono concorrenziali. Siamo pienamente soddisfatti.

02/05/2025: Esperienza da dimenticare, luogo decantato come uno fra i migliori per gustare il pesce, pesce piuttosto dozzinale nei sapori, abbiamo preso un crudo non all'altezza se non nel prezzo! Un insalata di mare tiepida, dove c'era tanto sedano e pochissimo pesce, due porzioni di ravioli funghi tartufo e capesante, che di fatto erano un miscuglio di sapori, da rendere irriconoscibile il piatto, un calice di vino, mia moglie e astemia, servito in maniera scortese e scocciata, da un cameriere, forse titolare poco simpatico. L'abbiamo presa sul ridere e ci siamo alzati dopo aver finito senza prendere nemmeno il caffè. Servizio da lasciare perdere lento nel fare uscire i piatti, veloce nel farti lasciare il tavolo. Ambiente poco accogliente per la spocchia del personale. Adios

11/04/2025: Nice renovated place but I have to say that I remembered this very different famous restaurant a few years ago. The cuisine has changed, the fish is fresh but no longer cooked the old way and less abundant. I had ordered an island-style monkfish and after half an hour of waiting it arrived rare! I sent it back, the waitress apologized and offered me a quick mixed fry, and I had to accept, but I didn't go to eat that! Very long waits where we filled ourselves with good bread, yes but not good... I got the ravioli filled with fish which was good but the pasta was borderline raw. A quarter of a glass of wine is 7.50 and oh well... you know, fish dinners are expensive, but what was missing was the classic simple flavor of intense fish which I didn't taste because it was mixed with too many ingredients. Too bad I had other memories but maybe they were another management....

13/04/2025: Probably the best meal I had in Tuscany. Chef Alba is great! I ate here twice, first night I had the gnocchi with yellow pumpkin pesto and blue cheese... amazing. We also did the tasting menu the second night and the wild boar dish was great. The gnocchi with the pumpkin and blue cheese was definitely the best though. Excellent service and phenomenal views of the vineyards and surrounding countryside. Salvadonicas chianti classico is good as well.

04/05/2025: Excellent restaurant in the center of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, among the Chianti hills. Impeccable service, lovely environment with lots of references to cats. Excellent dishes, I don't give my best only for the temperature of the cut which was not optimal but in a mixed grill it can happen. Excellent wine map!
