18/02/2026: You absolutely must not miss this place. Typical Tuscan cuisine, a very welcoming trattoria-style atmosphere, well-kept, with years of customer history. I'll just give you one consideration: I ordered "Pici sul cinghiale", thinking it was an interpretation of the menu. The truth is that the pasta is flat (and good, compared to the amount of wild boar ragù they put!!!) and when a very kind waitress also recommends you order a half portion of potatoes, since the normal portion is decidedly generous, you can't ask for anything other than to say thank you and enjoy your splendid dinner with gusto. Compliments to the cuisine and the service. You all deserve the highest appreciation. I will absolutely return: too many dishes to discover

20/02/2026: What a fantastic experience at Tommasina in Capannuccia, near Grassina! The food was absolutely incredible. I had the polpettine in tegame con melanzane al forno e crema di gorgonzola — rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every bite tasted homemade and full of authentic Tuscan character.
The local white wine was magnificent — fresh, elegant, and the perfect pairing for the meal. You can really tell they value quality and local production.
They also offer artisanal products and carefully source local food and wine. The staff are genuinely warm and welcoming — it truly feels like a lovely family-run business.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic flavors and a heartfelt atmosphere.

03/03/2026: Beautiful rooms, high-quality common areas, a varied breakfast, and very friendly staff. The free shuttle to the city center is appreciated, as is the free, secure parking available in front of the hotel. A great work room is available if needed.
23/02/2026: I think the hotel was under renovation, because we found the doors and floors unclean.
Point two: To my regret, the reception staff was absolutely awful. In three days, if we weren't there to say good morning or say hello, they were always downcast and nonexistent.
The bar staff, I should say, only had breakfast; they were very nice and helpful.
The room was average in size, but the bathroom was small; it was clean.
The shuttle service was excellent, and the driver was very kind and helpful.

28/02/2026: I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago with my girlfriend. The food was excellent; the pici were superb, and the dark chocolate dessert was truly delicious. The owner was very friendly!
I usually don't leave reviews, but this time it was worth it.
10/02/2026: I didn't give it 5 stars because the pasta was very salty, but I didn't send it back because it was edible: I'm sure it was a mistake. Everything else was delicious.

20/01/2026: A fantastic, fairytale-like, intimate, and relaxing place. The food and drink are excellent. The hosts are kind, friendly, and always smiling. A place to return to just outside Florence. Thanks to whoever brought us here for dinner. Unforgettable!!
16/11/2025: A tiny little osteria. This season, there's only 14 seats inside in a bright space, and Francesca and Alice are attentive, efficient, and smiling, serving both humans and animals. The varied menu features traditional Tuscan fare, starting with an entrée offering pappa al pomodoro in the form of a small tartare. There were six of us, and we chose and exchanged the various dishes, all tasty and traditional, with a focus on vegetarians.
€40 per person, including a Montalcino red, water, coffee, cheesecake, and a pear in wine.
We'll definitely return, perhaps in the warmer months, when they can seat at least twenty more.

01/12/2025: I went to dinner at this restaurant with a friend. The place is small but very welcoming and not noisy. The dishes were very well prepared and, above all, GOOD. We had an appetizer, two first courses, and a second course, the latter of which was very generous. We spent €30 each with the TheFork discount.

15/02/2026: Highly discouraged on Valentine's Day. The set menu prices aren't clearly displayed, and portion sizes aren't listed. So you end up eating a 1.5 kg steak for almost €60 without even having the option of choosing a smaller cut. The side dishes are even worse: the chalkboard inside the restaurant says they cost between €5 and €7, so you might think that when the waiter offers you a mix of side dishes, that's the price, but it's not. They charge you for all three, which comes to almost €18. Otherwise, the atmosphere is nice and the food is good, but definitely not good enough to spend €90 for two.

15/02/2026: For Valentine's Day dinner, we were hosted at Castello Ruffino, part of the Montemasso estate, as an alternative location to the Poggio Casciano estate, which is currently under renovation. We were warmly welcomed into the castle by the waiters and the maître d', inviting us to sit at our preferred table. I won't go into detail about the location, dishes, and service, as they wouldn't do justice to the magnificent experience we had at Tre Rane restaurant. I'll just add that the chefs were willing to make changes to my dishes due to my allergies and intolerances.
13/12/2025: Aside from the truly spectacular location in the Chianti hills, we had a wonderful time. The evening featured a set menu, including excellent wines, generous portions, and very tasty dishes. We also toured the winery, which was very interesting. Spectacular place, I can't imagine how beautiful it would be in the summer.

If you are looking for an authentic, family-owned spot in Grassina, you absolutely have to visit Jimmy’s. We went as a family of five with two bambini, and honestly, the atmosphere is so bustling and full of life that I’d highly recommend booking a table in advance.
There is a quote on their menu that says, "... Cose importanti nella vita? La prima è mangiare, le altre non le conosco" by Carl William Brown. You can tell they really live by those words.
We started our meal with grilled vegetables and a burrata pugliese that was just amazing—that was my "primo piatto." For my "secondo," I had the Pizza "Della Casa," which is this incredible mix of a calzone and a pizza. You can taste that it’s made with so much love; it was just full of flavor. To drink, we had some local wine and tried their special beer—the 1L beer was a highlight!
What really stood out was how she treated our kids. Our two are extremely fussy with their food, but she didn't blink an eye and adapted the menu to exactly what they liked. By the end of the night, the kids were so happy. We finished off with homemade tiramisu, limoncello, caffè, and a Vecchio Amaro del Capo.
The owner served us herself, and she is such a genuine, traditional host. Everything is homemade and so tasty. By the time we left, we didn't just feel like customers; we felt like part of the restaurant's family. Such an amazing experience.

Fast service, generous and authentic dishes, just like in the old days.
Claudio and the entire staff are super friendly: it's always a pleasure to stop by, chat, and eat well.
I stop here very often, and ever since I took my son here for the first time, he's been asking me to come back.
That says it all for me.
