03/01/2026: Arriving in Isola delle Femmine for New Year's Eve, we decided to order takeout dinner from Bar Maxim.
A perfect choice: very good food, generous portions, and an excellent Sicilian cassata to finish.
All at the right price.

21/12/2025: Sadly a disappointing experience for us. We went there for lunch on a Sunday in December- no problem getting a table. The view is great - overlooking the beach and the sea. So much for the good stuff...
Unfortunately, the service (only Italian speaking - no English) seemed mostly uninterested and our spaghetti vongole were way too salty. The wine had been open a while (tasted a bit sour already) and we didn't get a göass for the beer. And the kicker was the fact we (as obviously tourists) were the only ones in the restaurant not being served bread with the food, but still getting charged 2 euros for a coperto...

03/01/2026: We were looking for vegetarian options, which this restaurant doesn't offer many. We simply didn't find what we wanted. As we were leaving, the waiter mockingly asked, "What, is it too expensive for you?" An unnecessary, rude comment. I definitely don't recommend it.
Edit.
At the entrance, they asked me if I had a reservation. I replied no. At this point, it was enough to inform them that unfortunately there were no tables available. They showed us where to sit. After reading the menu, we thanked the waitress and said we were looking for something else.

01/01/2026: I went here for lunch for the first time on January 1st with my parents and I have to say everything was excellent, the fish was fresh and even if you paid a little more, it was worth it, because especially the first courses were very abandoned. I had paccheri alla ricciola and there were more than 150g of pasta plus a lot of sauce. I really have to compliment it. I will definitely be returning.

29/11/2025: I visited the Carlo Magno pizzeria and restaurant in Isola delle Femmine and was truly won over.
The pasta alla Norma was spectacular: al dente, flavorful sauce, light fried eggplant, and abundant salted ricotta, one of the best dishes I've eaten in Sicily. The Sicilian cannoli to finish was perfect: crispy shell, fresh ricotta cream, and not too sweet.
Friendly service, a family atmosphere, and fair prices. A place where you can taste the care and attention to detail: I'd go back tomorrow without a second thought.
29/10/2025: We stayed at Casa Chiara on September 22nd and 23rd.
Highly recommended, both for the quality and the price.
Excellent service, high-quality food, and especially the pistachio dessert.
We will definitely return. Zita and Fredy.

Godiva has an excellent reputation for its creative food and flavorful dishes.
Compagnia della Vela with Catering, Godiva Restaurant, confirms the excellent lunch, expertly executed by the staff.
The appetizers were excellent, with excellent presentation and flavor, and the arancina and mussels were sublime.
First courses: Rice flan with a pea and shrimp sauce was excellent.
Ravioli with swordfish roe and clams were excellent.
Perfectly cooked.
Despite the crowds.
The main course was equally delicious.
To end the lunch, an excellent cheesecake.
Congratulations, until next time.

05/01/2026: Everything was truly beautiful: the location, impeccable service, delicious food, and the staff and owner were highly qualified and ready to accommodate every request. The party was a complete success, and all the guests were delighted. We had an evening we'll never forget... Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️
01/01/2026: Lunch, January 1, 2026: disappointing dishes, arriving cold, rubbery ravioli topped with the same sauce as the previous pasta, when in reality they should have been with scampi and lime zest. The fish, which was supposed to be amberjack with lobster and potatoes as a side dish, turned out to be anything but: bland, only two potatoes, but above all, the fish was rubbery again. The octopus salad was strange; some even thought it smelled. Not to mention the dessert... "cream puff with ricotta and pears accompanied by white chocolate crumble and toasted almonds," as it was written on the menu... but apparently that too turned out to be something completely different. A simple cream puff with ricotta and candied fruit bought at the supermarket, not even a trace of almonds... in short, a total disappointment. For €55 per person, it's not worth it.

18/07/2025: So, I've been sitting in this shop for an hour and still haven't gotten my food. As a tourist, you're a second-class guest, it seems. I'm invited and hoping for the best meal of my life, since the shop really isn't that busy, so a long wait would be justified. People who came after us are already leaving. I hate Italy.
07/07/2025: Nice restaurant with good service and a nice sea view. All 5 of us agreed that the pizza we were served was the best we have ever eaten👍👍

25/04/2025: La location, con una bella vista mare, è stata l'unica cosa positiva. Le ordinazioni sono state prese prontamente, tuttavia non è stato portato del pane per accompagnarci nelle DUE ORE E MEZZA DI ATTESA per dei primi che sono stati definiti "espressi", ma erano palesemente soltanto della salsa in bottiglia e del pesto in barattolo. Vongole e gamberetti che erano compresi nella loro "calamarata con vongole gamberetti e pesto di basilico" praticamente assenti. Camerieri confusi. Cucina disorganizzata. Esperienza da non ripetere
02/02/2025: Siamo andati via dopo aver aspettato un ora e mezza che qualcuno si avvicinasse a prendere le ordinazioni. Non è pensabile gestire 100 coperti con un cameriere e una persona a prendere le ordinazioni (poverette loro, sommerse da ritardi e lamentele). Chi dirige questo ristorante evidentemente non ha idea di come si fa ristorazione. Pessimi

15/07/2025: Brutta esperienza, posate e tovaglie sporche, zanzare a migliaia, camerieri inesistenti. Ordinato un antipasto, arrivato solo metà, alla richiesta di spiegazioni al cameriere risponde che va a chiedere in cucina ma probabilmente sarà tornato a casa perché non lo abbiamo più visto per tutta la sera. Quando la bottiglia di acqua è finita ho dovuto chiederla per 4 volte e aspettare più di 20 minuti per averne un'altra. Mai vista una cosa del genere. Vergognoso.
