23/05/2025: Tappa fissa quando sono a Calasetta Sei certo di trovare ottimo cucinato in un ambiente semplice pulito con tavoli ben distanziati ed un servizio cortese Cucina prevalentemente di pesce. Il locale è gestito dalla stessa famiglia da tre generazioni che orgogliosamente custodiscono i piatti base della cucina calasettana tra cui svetta il pilau. Ottimo oltre che la pasta alla calasettana..olio e bottarga di muggine e tonno. Stasera ci siamo goduti gli antipasti.. insalata di mare polpo tenerissima insalata di coda di rospo e pomodorini..delicata..polpettine di pesce fritte..tonno fresco bollito e messo sotto olio direttamente dal ristorante..carpacci affumicati di spada e tonno..cozze alla marinara servite ..giustamente..senza pomodoro . Poi un superbo piatto di pilau con aragostina..di solito vi sono gamberi ..oggi serata fortunata . Volutamente si è scelto un bianco sfuso.sapendo che è il Vermentino della cantina di Calasetta.Molto buono. Ci siamo tenuti gli altri piatti forti..la mitica zuppa di pesce..il cous cous di pesce..la pasta alla Calasettana..per le prossime serate. Prezzi corretti..

16/05/2025: The food was terrible, plain pasta that looked like glue, French fries that to say fried is a compliment, they are from days ago at least and soaked in oil, cutlets arrived raw and ice cream that is the only thing that was good. Not recommended especially for school children.

12/05/2025: Pizzetta (capers and anchovies) priced slightly higher than the average in the Cagliari 'neighbourhood' - €1.50 compared to the usual €1.20 - but really delicious. I discovered it was their own production; they are also the owners of the pastry shop next door. The coffee, at €1.20, put both soul and wallet in agreement. Because if the pizzetta was delicious, the coffee is one of the best I've had (without sugar, of course) in 2025. And I know about that. I had already got into the car, but the yolk of doubt - the one that stays on your palate and in your mind - made me turn around. I got out and asked the barmaid what the brand was. I wondered if her gracious friendliness had affected the preparation. The interior design of the dining area - yes, they even do a lunch menu at a great price of €10! - did not convince me: modern and somewhat anonymous, where the wood fails to give the warmth one expects, especially in a space dedicated to dining. On the other hand, the old leather sofas outside (they look like they were just used by Sherlock Holmes), protected by the glass window, are true poetry. And the coffee counter at the entrance - again in wood - is majestic: it takes you back a little to the 1900s, when entering a café was a small event, an important gesture in the day. I wonder if they chose two different architects... because the dining area deserves to be on a par with the counter and the outdoor space. The smoking area, again between the sofas, is an obvious act of civilisation: by now, many cafés seem to have forgotten who smokes. The barista, with black glasses and a Sardinian accent, was polite to my every question about prices and wore a wonderful, sincere smile the whole time. Sometimes, at certain times of the year, I wear 'elegant poverty' - and I have to ask for prices in order to still allow myself the privilege of a good coffee. On my way out, I discovered that this café is just a few metres from the main square of Iglesias! So its prices, absolutely popular, are a declaration of respect and love for the traveller. So, if you are a tourist and find yourself in this area, I advise you from the heart: before visiting Pan di Zucchero, come here. Unfortunately, there are more dreamy beaches in Sardinia (thanks to nature alone) than unforgettable cafés (thanks to the talent and work of the people behind the scenes). The name of the café, Dolce Risveglio, could not have been more apt: it really is the right place when you need to stop and reawaken your senses in order to get going again.

30/03/2025: Il locale seppure è sito a pochi passi dalla piazza principale del centro storico e abbia un ottimo potenziale, non è all'altezza del nome che si è creato. Se si vuole fare una colazione le paste sono discrete, ma il caffè spesso è bruciato ed imbevibile, se si vuole fare una colazione salata ci vuole almeno una mezz'ora abbondante per avere un toast. Se invece si vuole fare un aperitivo con gli amici i drink sono sgasati e sciapi, anche un banale spritz diventa un qualcosa che è buono solo a far girare la testa ma senza bollicine nè sapore se non quello dell'aperol, i taglieri sono da chiedere almeno 2 volte. Il personale è svogliato e scortese, bisogna aspettare molto per prendere l'ordine e poi un'altra lunga attesa per avere il servizio, servito a rate e spesso portato sbagliato. Il proletario scorbutico e maleducato, visto che quando sono andata e ho fatto presente che si erano dimenticati un bicchiere d'acqua me lo ha portato rovesciandolo sul telefono e scrollando il vassoio bagnato sulla mia giacca, e quando è stato fatto presente che aveva bagnato il telefono ha risposto con un "eh vabbè" senza poi nemmeno preoccuparsi di portare un qualcosa per asciugarlo. Musica troppo alta e quando viene chiesto di abbassare, ben 2 volte, nonostante dei sfuggenti si, la musica resta allo stesso volume Il locale è da frequentare se si ha molto tempo per consumare anche al bancone e non si ha molte pretese sulla qualità nè del cibo nè del personale

13/05/2025: We ordered pasta with seafood(in reality without), ravioli, fish of the day and arigosa. Pasta was too salty. Plus the cooker put into one plate 3 clams, and into another 15🥸I was not lucky, so had in majority pasta without seafood. Besides some of the clamps were closed and we were not able to open them. Arigosa was awful, either it was spoiled, or chef cooks it for the first time. Bread and Water is tasty. Water is must to order, because everything is super salty.

23/05/2025: Lavoro da anni nella Gastronomia , anche in giro per il mondo... si vanta tanto la pizza napoletana, ma l'impasto che fà questo ragazzo è vermante OTTIMO , bilanciato e saporita, leggera e cotta perfettamente in un forno a legna stupendo , non è la classica pizza buttata li che non ha sapore , io consiglio la prova .... non rimarrete delusi

03/06/2025: I came to Sardinia for a pleasure trip and the first night I stayed in this hotel in transit, I had dinner, the dishes were good, the pizza was excellent, the breakfast was good, the room was spacious, the bathroom was new and large, the only flaw was there were no hangers for shower towels and guest towels, all in all everything was good!

20/05/2025: I have to change my review: the pizza is still quite good but not as exceptional as it used to be. The portions have shrunk and the prices have gone up excessively. Only wealthy tourists are allowed to eat here now. What a shame!

19/05/2025: I wanted to write a review, but I saw a review from a gentleman who said he was not "welcomed outside because there were no tablecloths", so since I also came yesterday and I have done this job for years, I want to tell my experience. I came to eat yesterday with 6 colleagues and it's not the first time, I booked inside, but since the day was wonderful we decide to sit outside, when I tell the boy (who was alone in the room) he rushes to prepare the table for us, in the meantime he takes orders, brings dishes and recommends wines, with an ease, a lightness and an enviable smile (I know what it means). This scene repeats itself with other tables that having booked inside, change their minds and sit outside, the boy's colleague arrives, they smile and joke, move the reservations from inside to outside and seat everyone. Even the boy who initially was only giving advice on what to visit in this area to tourists, and talks about wines and vines with the tables. I don't know if this place is unpleasant to someone, or maybe its employees, because otherwise I can't explain certain reviews. You eat well, you drink very well because I think the guy is a sommelier since it seemed like I was hearing a wine guru speak, you spend but the average price is what I find elsewhere in Iglesias (since I was in Cagliari for lunch and I spent double for half the quality) If you are from Iglesias, hold on to these places, and leave your envy at home. We will return, keep it up!

04/05/2025: Servizio perfetto dall'accoglienza al conto, professionale e al tempo stesso gentile, educato e ricco di sorrisi, che non guastano mai. Piatti semplici ma elaborati da prodotti freschi e dal gusto, se non perduto, quantomeno ormai raro. Quantità più che abbondante, forse addirittura eccessiva. Prezzo onestissimo. Ci ritorneremo presto. Bravi!
