02/03/2024: Very well-known restaurant located in the historic center of Nardò. Cozy place with star vaults. Some critical issues should be noted: they positioned us at the table near the cash register and every time the cashier entered and exited, he tended to bump into us, creating an uncomfortable situation. Another point to note are the prices, a margherita 6 euros and a cover charge 3 euros. Before the Covid period, a margherita for 6 euros was unthinkable, especially in winter where mostly local people frequent the restaurants.

24/07/2024: Posto carino, antipasti poco curati niente di che, i formaggi ? Praticamente comuni, secchi anche questi nessuna nota di merito. La carne, io ho preso una tagliata di manzo.. asciutta e dura. Non ci tornerei inutile la finta gentilezza

09/08/2024: Il giorno 6/08 ho prenotato il tavolo esplicitando che io e i miei amici avremmo voluto avere un tavolo vicino al palco in quanto in quella serata si esibivano alcuni nostri amici. All’arrivo ci hanno fatto sedere a un tavolo non propio vicino al palco ma distante. Con i miei amici abbiamo ordinato dei panini chiedendo anche un contorno di frittini, ma il cameriere ci avvisa che non è disponibile in quanto hanno solo delle patatine fritte come contorno. Io e i miei amici accettiamo, arrivano i pasti dove ci mettono al centro un piccolo piatto di patatine (eravamo in 3) e 3 hamburger. L’ hamburger di qualità scadente, insapore. Chiamiamo più volte il cameriere per avere qualche tovagliolo in più ma non lo abbiamo mai visto fino a fine serata! Durante il concerto poi ci piazzano un tavolo di fronte a noi ostacolando la vista del palco, mi reco dal cameriere spiegando che noi avevamo chiesto di avere la priorità di visibilità del palco, ma lui con strafottenza mi dice: SE VOLETE VI ALZATE perché queste serate vanno in questo modo. Se non siete in grado di organizzare una serata, è meglio non farla proprio! Non torneremo mai più soprattutto per il trattamento ricevuto!

07/08/2024: Ho prenotato un tavolo per cenare e vedere il concerto di amici che si esibivano in una serata raccomandandoti di avere una buona visibilità, almeno durante la cena. All’arrivo ci danno un tavolo lontano, ma se su ciò si poteva anche sorvolare su quello accaduto dopo proprio no. Arriva una coppia e viene sistemato un altro tavolino proprio davanti il nostro ostruendoci anche quel poco di visibilità che c’era. Provo a chiamare i pochi camerieri presenti per segnalare il problema ma nulla, completamente sordi e distratti, o facevano finta di non sentire. Arrivano i panini ordinati, tralasciando il fatto che non erano granché ci vengono serviti in un piattino di plastica insieme a due patate fritte a numero e senza posate e tovaglioli per tutti. La spiegazione alla scarsa visibilità è stata: alzatevi e guardate il concerto. Quindi, ti fai pagare 2,50 di servizio extra per cosa alla fine? Una fregatura colossale, da non tornarci più.

27/12/2023: Posto meraviglioso, con cibo curato e di qualità e servizio al top. Vini di primordine. a cena con amici, proviamo un aperitivo con frittini e crostoni stracciatella e pesto di agrumi e alici. accostamento perfetto. tagliere di formaggi mai trovato così in nessun posto. formaggi e salumi d'Italia particolarissimi. Presentazione fantastica. il Portoceraja una chicca. abbiamo provato anche i primi. menzione particolare ai troccoli cacio pepe e polpo. anche qui presentazione stupenda e i dolci fatti da loro. il sambuchino è unico. Location e locale spettacolare. A tutto questo si aggiunge un conto che sorprende per economicità rispetto a qualità e servizio. Una conferma su tutta la linea. Complimenti. Consigliatissimo

26/12/2023: 40 € per 4 aperitivi, una coca e un'acqua tonica. E se non chiefevamo 4 taralli, manco quelli arrivavano. Spritz pessimo, si sentiva solo il prosecco. Negativo!!!

27/07/2024: Enchanting location, (5 stars are few) with attention to every detail, among the most beautiful and evocative of Nardò. Unforgettable aubergine crumble, cuttlefish tagliatelle with mint, lime and crunchy potatoes highly recommended. Excellent service led by the very nice Mr. Lucio.

01/09/2024: Actually, it's not worth the effort to write a report. Anyway, here is my experience. We reserved a table, which worked wonderfully. A waitress then came and offered water. Unfortunately, the glasses smelled of fish and so did the water in the glass. All the dishes here are cleaned with the same machine? Over 35 minutes passed before someone took the order after we asked. After that it went quickly. The salad was good and crispy and fresh. Then came my main course “Entrégotes” & “French fries”. The waiter asked how I would like the meat, I ordered “midium”. Then there was a 3-4 mm thick slice of meat with tendons. Fried to death and dry. With a thickness of 3-4 mm it is also difficult to get anything bloody in the core of the disc. My leather belt would have been even more delicate. The fries and house wine were great! My wife ordered local vegetables. She had broccoli in the pan. And she ordered fried potatoes with it. So a finely put together vegetarian menu. The brocolli came in an oven pan, completely soggy and unseasoned. Less salt is supposed to be healthy ;-) Then her fried potatoes came much later than the broccoli. They were good, but she soon stopped feeling hungry after eating half of my fries, which I don't blame her for. The atmosphere was bad, there was a football match on the screen that everyone had to watch. Does this have to be the case? No other restaurant had to have this. The staff was young, probably too young. They acted like they were busy. In reality, they were not organized, which was felt by customers who had to wait a lot. Payment then went smoothly, with card and correct billing. We've now been in the area for another 5 days and we definitely won't eat here again.

30/08/2024: A pleasant surprise: first time in this seafront restaurant despite having seen it several times... everything was delicious, from the starter to the dessert. All in all, waiting times for dishes were normal, although a little longer than usual due to the fact that everything is freshly prepared! Delicious artisanal ice cream, tasty and non-greasy fried food, tasty and al dente first courses, very fresh grilled prawns. Friendly and helpful staff. We booked the night before, thus avoiding the risk of not finding a seat or having to wait for others to finish. Finally, excellent quantity - quality - price ratio! What else can I say...full 5 stars, well done!

06/09/2023: Siamo arrivati qui quasi x caso ,personale di accoglienza gentile ,locale pieno ma ci hanno comunque sistemati pur non avendo prenotazione. Cozze al gratain e polpette di polipo per cominciare,qualità buona, le cozze leggermente secche .Di primo piatto due spaghetti ai ricci e dire che erano sublimi è veramente riduttivo. Piatto ben fatto, gustoso, ricci veramente saporiti come non li mangiavo da qualche anno.Buona scelta dei vini a prezzi veramente competitivi. Anche lo spaghetto a 15 euro è veramente al di sotto come prezzo di quello che in altri locali lo farebbero pagare. Esperienza buona , da ritornarci sicuramente.

28/08/2023: Cena sotto le aspettative: cozze salentine da evitare quelle grigliate buone. Frittura di paranza buona ma non molto saporita. Seppia arrostita insapore. Non valuto la qualità del cibo ma come è stato cucinato, alquanto insapore.

11/08/2024: Very sad experience. We went to this bar mid-morning to have a drink/eat. As soon as we sat down the bitter discovery: the menus were totally devoid of any price. As soon as we pointed this out to the waitress, asking her if it was possible to have a menu complete with price list (for the sake of correctness, not because the price was a problem), we were muttered that the menus were new and had just been printed and therefore had no prices ( ?!?). Annoyed, we still ordered 1 iced coffee, 1 nocciolino (scoop of ice cream drowned in coffee), 1 500 ml bottle of water. Once we arrived at the checkout, we finally discovered the total of the things we had ordered (shortly before, we had only been able to get an idea). The total was the modest sum of €10!!! As soon as the incorrectness of this was pointed out to the owner, we were told that the menus complete with prices were available and consultable near the cash register and that those brought to the tables were only examples of the products available (?!?!) 🤥🤡 Truly a VERY SLIM figure. These people think they are smart and even border on legality. Even now, I don't know how much I paid for exactly what, because on the receipt it only says "€10" (how do we justify it?!?) RI DI CO LI. Then we complain about not having tourism in Salento eh!

10/08/2024: Prodotti di qualità e personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Locale adatto ad ogni occasione, dal pasticciotto mattutino al gin tonic after dinner, il tutto vista mare. Punto di riferimento per qualsiasi frequentatore della meravigliosa Santa Caterina.

08/08/2024: Turn away... due to a technical problem with our ATM at the time of payment, the gentleman at the checkout (an elderly man with glasses) proved to be grumpy, uneducated and completely unfamiliar with the basic requirements for a suitable approach to customers.

28/08/2024: Terrible restaurant, I don't recommend it at all. The bill was too high and cutlery that they kept asking for and which never arrived The fillet with porcini mushrooms I asked for was well cooked due to the pregnancy and it arrived still raw. I asked to cook it again and the porcini mushrooms were thrown away. Paying 18 euros for a small piece of meat without even anything left and close to it seems like an exaggeration to me..... For being the first evening in Puglia I would say that it started off really badly! The pasta with clams and cherry tomatoes?......it was only with the cherry tomatoes, the clams were not there.... 87 euros wasted never again!!! I'm sorry but our plates were full of cherry tomatoes and so they were returned to you so I also asked the waiter why they were in my pasta with porcini mushrooms since they weren't written on the menu and he replied that it was just like that, when we when we came to pay I told you the truth that the meat came back without porcini mushrooms and she replied that they thought it was rubbish and they threw it away, if you don't remember what you say it's your problem! The fact is that it's not done that way.

13/03/2024: Il locale: Esclusa una sala il resto sono 2 corridoi dove hanno collocato i tavoli, anche per 4 e più persone i piatti c'è li siamo passati tra noi perché il cameriere non aveva spazio per passare. Portate e prezzi Per essere una osteria le porzioni erano poco generose qualità nella media prezzi medio alto, sempre tendo cono che si parla di osteria e i tavoli nel corridoio.
