You can sense the great care taken in selecting the cuts. The staff is also extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and always available to offer the best advice. 13/11/2025: Pizza and cuisine of the highest level, I ordered a pizza with smoked provola di agevolata, baked potatoes, aubergines and sausage which I can say is one of the best pizzas we have ever eaten. Chef Michele is a true master pizza chef.

31/10/2025: A seafood restaurant that's nothing short of spectacular! The food at Vergari is truly excellent: everything is carefully thought out, from the welcome to the dishes to the atmosphere. We ordered mixed fried fish, which was good but a little dry in some places—no big deal, because the flavor was excellent and the quality of the fish was evident. Then we ordered two seafood centerpieces: one very large and generous, designed for two people (but easily enough for two hungry people!), and another for one, also beautifully presented and delicious. The dishes were generous, served with care and using the freshest ingredients. You can tell there's passion and attention to quality behind them. The service was perfect, truly top-notch: the staff were kind, professional, and always attentive to every need, without ever being intrusive. The restaurant's design also deserves special mention—modern, refined, elegant, yet welcoming. As for the prices, I have to say they're fair, especially considering the location: we're in San Foca, a tourist area where prices are often higher, but here the quality-price ratio is truly excellent. In conclusion, I give Ristorante Vergari a full 5 stars: a place where you can eat the freshest, highest-quality fish, with impeccable service, a beautiful location, and fair prices.

14/01/2026: A quiet, well-kept, and welcoming place. I discovered it because of the not-at-all-fake reviews. Excellent, fresh food, short waits. Daniel always finds the best value for everyone. I can guarantee the dishes are generous, even excessively so. He's extremely polite, quick to advise, and honestly, you can trust him. A place like this deserves to be even in more renowned places. I confirm, a place where you eat very well at completely fair prices.

13/09/2025: I give it 5 stars for the service and food. We've been twice and paid very low prices for a generous selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was a bit dull because the music in front was too loud.

30/12/2025: Good food and welcoming staff. There were four of us and we had a delicious lunch. The sandwiches and sea bass are highly recommended.

30/12/2025: Excellent quality, the only shame about the quantity: the pittule were nonexistent, really small and burnt, the paccheri with fish ragù were very good, but the portions were only for an appetizer. For €46 for two, we left feeling hungry. It's a shame because the sandwiches looked really good and were nice and big; next time we'll get those.

05/12/2025: A must-visit if you're in Salento. The atmosphere is informal, the service is good, but the food is excellent, whether it's raw, fried, or grilled. Great prices, I come back every year. It's even worth the 40-minute drive just for Capitan Morgan.

31/10/2025: How can it be that plastic tableware is still being used these days? And in a restaurant, no less! We were appalled and thought it was a joke when the waiter brought us a bottle of water and two plastic cups. Then came the cutlery, also plastic, wrapped in plastic film 😳 And then the food, guess what? On plastic plates? What's going on? Too lazy to wash them? And all this with a direct view of the sea. One can only hope that none of it ends up in the ocean. The food was alright, but it would have been much nicer served on porcelain plates. The waiters could have smiled a bit more, and walking around the restaurant with their arms crossed doesn't exactly make a good impression.

The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and genuinely caring, which really makes the difference. The prices are also fair and in line with the quality. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an excellent meal in a welcoming, authentic atmosphere. We'll be back!
