20/04/2026: Very friendly staff, helpful and professional. You also get good value for money. I am not giving a 5 for the food because I chose fish and was not convinced of its freshness. It was sticky, didn't smell very fresh, and fell completely apart. Since I didn't get sick from it, I am not sure if it was me or the fish ;-) The mussels and other seafood my table companions had were super tasty and fresh, though.
We also moved on a bit faster because it was very noisy inside and everyone was sitting very close together. Maybe do something about the acoustics?

26/07/2026: The menu offers a lovely selection: house antipasti including stuffed mussels, meatballs with mashed potatoes, pieces of omelette, roasted eggplant with raw onion, battered anchovies, burrata cheese, and olives; a choice of main course, followed by watermelon and lemon sorbet, all for €20.00 (drinks not included). The tender and fragrant grilled octopus, the delicious mixed fried fish, and finally the chilled rosé wine by the glass were truly delightful.

Good restaurant,
large parking lot, and lots of young, well-organized staff... fair prices for everything it offers.

23/07/2026: We tried the house white, the rosé, and the organic red... all three had plenty of room for improvement. Each served a separate appetizer. I'm sorry, but the flavors were contrasting, and the result was barely adequate. The fried food was neither excellent nor infamous; I expect much more from an organic farm; the two desserts were good. The location of the latter is accessible by crossing a dirt road, but that's okay; it's the only 5-star feature. Let's hope they revamp the menu.

This is my first time at this fry shop.
I've heard about it. The place is a bit basic, so I go in and order the fried fish. There's no price on the fish, no price on how much
a fried fish costs. I get some calamari, shrimp, and cod to fry, and a small octopus to grill. The fried fish is excellent, and the octopus is very good. There's nothing to complain about. The problem is the bill!!! For a plate of fried fish for two, 1 octopus split between two, 1 water, and 1 Coke, I paid €64. A SCAM!!! As I was leaving, I had a doubt, but did I go to the friggo e mangi or to Vela?? Be careful with the prices, they'll rip you off like a glove!!! I definitely won't be going back...
25/07/2026: Not easy to reach by car due to the one-way system: from the main road, exit at the Torre a Mare junction, continue until you reach the hedges, turn left, and go up towards San Giorgio. It's after the second street on the left.
Parking is mostly on this street or on the same street.
There's indoor space, both covered and uncovered, which is recommended especially in the summer.
You have to go past this to get in, and since it was crowded, I wasn't sure if you can only order at the counter or from the pizza chef.
They also do fried food and takeout.

29/07/2026: Caffè Roma in Mola di Bari is a lovely local café with a great atmosphere. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, and the prices were very reasonable while still offering good quality.
The location is also a big plus, making it a perfect spot to enjoy a coffee, a drink, or a small break while exploring Mola di Bari. A simple, authentic café experience with excellent service.
