You enter, and with the harmony of the sound, you're greeted by smiles of a kindness that feels sincere. There's no doubt about the right place to stop for a meal worthy of the setting, enveloped by warm jazz, the tones of stone and tuff. I'm at the Van Westerhout restaurant in Mola di Bari, renowned for its dishes respectful of tradition, enriched by elegant pairings and the pleasure of a taste both ancient and new. 30/09/2025: What an outstanding restaurant. Not what I expected in Mola Di Bari, would expect this type of restaurant in a large city and I believe it would be very successful. We didn’t really know what to expect when we visited as we hadn’t looked at the menu, we were VERY VERY pleasantly surprised by the menu, the service, the setting and everything about our experience. Our only disappointment is that we only discovered Parla Paino on the Sunday before we returned home. We would have visited on the Monday too, but they were closed. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough, it was truly amazing! If Parla Piano was in a big city, I would expect to pay €200-300 for the quality of this setting, service and food! I’ve paid a lot more than that in London and the food has been nowhere near as good as Parla Piano! Please keep up the good work.

07/12/2025: My husband and I had dinner on December 6th at Al bel paese: what can I say? A very professional welcome, knowledgeable and attentive staff. The wine cellar is extensive and original, and chef Vito (the restaurant's owner) created wonderful dishes, both for the palate and the eye. We'll definitely be back!!

07/12/2025: I returned to this fantastic place and, once again, I was thrilled. The fish is incredibly fresh, especially the raw fish, impeccably presented, and of a quality hard to find elsewhere. Each dish truly showcases the flavor of the sea. A special thanks to Giovanni, whose professionalism and kindness make the experience even more enjoyable. The service is impeccable: attentive, fast, and always with a smile. A place definitely worth trying, and I can't wait to return! Highly recommended.

20/09/2025: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I'm a sailor and I see a lot of restaurants, but here I can say that "excellent" is an understatement. The dinner was impeccable in every way: quality, taste, and hospitality. Reading some of the negative reviews, I have to disagree: perhaps some people need to be hospitalized in a psychiatric hospital, because it really is inexplicable. For me, this place deserves to be among the best ever and officially becomes my favorite restaurant. Congratulations!

A course to learn how to eat every type of fish, whether sea bass, red mullet, or sea bream, must be booked with our friend Leo. The interior dining room is described as small but quaint, offering a welcoming atmosphere. The service is courteous and helpful, thanks to our friend Francesco. Chef Piero is one of a kind!
