27/06/2025: Apulian Romanesque church together with those of Molfetta, Ruvo, Trani and Bari one of the jewels of Puglia. Located in a very lively historic center full of streets and courtyards, it deserves a visit and a stop in the local places
08/06/2025: Very beautiful Romanesque cathedral with an extraordinary marble pulpit, a beautiful ceiling and a very beautiful mosaic from the early Christian church. Apart from these 3 elements, it bears a very strong resemblance to Saint Nicholas of Bari, which can be visited for free...compared to €7 per person for the Bitonto Cathedral, a bit expensive! Moreover, even at 5 p.m., the surrounding area was really lacking in animation.

Edit from January '24: I'm sorry to say it, but the service is nice, it depends on the waiter, sometimes they charge you a cover charge and sometimes they don't. Happened last week. If I don't take anything, there is a reason, it's not that due to medical reasons I even have to have the insult of paying for nothing, given that the previous times they didn't charge for it and I must say that the waiter didn't even show up. made it clear (and he certainly did it on purpose), we thought that the cover charge was for everyone, then we realized that it was just for me, but even so, maybe I would have had half a dessert with someone else or half a drink (there's no need that the waiters cut our croissants, so much so there is always one dish, we might as well cut it ourselves), so I would have consumed food and wouldn't have had to pay the cover charge, the waiter who knows if we split the food in two later; I was the only one in a group of seven who couldn't take anything, we weren't 3 in a group of seven (who would have understood wanting to charge a cover charge), but it was 1 in 7, the absolute minority. Either you always or never pay for it, not out of sympathy, for this reason alone I should reduce it to 3 stars.

06/05/2025: Ho festeggiato il mio compleanno al Grande Buco Quadrato e non avrei potuto desiderare di meglio! L’atmosfera è stata subito accogliente e originale, con un tocco creativo che rende questo posto davvero unico. Dania è stata gentilissima, sempre sorridente e attenta a ogni dettaglio — mi ha fatta sentire speciale per tutta la serata.
Il cibo? Semplicemente delizioso. Ogni piatto era curato e pieno di sapore, con opzioni anche particolari e sorprendenti. I miei amici sono rimasti tutti entusiasti, e molti mi hanno detto che vogliono tornarci presto!
Un grazie speciale allo staff che ha contribuito a rendere il mio compleanno così perfetto. Se cercate un locale originale dove sentirvi a casa e vivere un’esperienza diversa dal solito… questo è il posto giusto!

14/05/2025: Dinner last night in this location in the ancient village of Bitonto. Refined place, with internal room and external square. Professional, welcoming, helpful staff but above all easy-going with pleasant friendliness. Excellent wine cellars, well-recommended platter of cold cuts and cheeses, well-stocked menu, well-prepared first course of spaghetti all'assassina. Old style and elegant environment. I liked everything, I recommend it.

We arrived at this pizzeria without knowing it, a little hesitant at first because of some reviews we read online... but trusting our instincts, we decided to try it anyway. And thank goodness! Because it was a wonderful discovery.
The place immediately struck us for its cleanliness, the familiar and welcoming atmosphere and the attention to adults and children. The dishes? Delicious, abundant, genuine. You can feel the passion in the kitchen and the love for tradition, with a homely touch that really makes the difference. They also took the utmost care of the presence of one of the guests who was lactose intolerant.
A special mention goes to Mrs. Antonella, who welcomed us with a sincere smile and served us with a kindness that is not at all obvious.
And if you have children, as in our case, they will have a wonderful and very fun day! The play area with inflatables is safe, fun and also allows parents to enjoy the day in peace.
We really had a wonderful day: excellent food, relaxing atmosphere and lots of fun for the little ones.
We were surprised and sorry to read negative comments that - honestly - do not reflect the reality that we experienced at all (and there were 14 of us at the table).
👉 We only feel like recommending this place, if you want to eat well, feel welcomed, have a place dedicated to children and spend peaceful time with the family, this pizzeria/restaurant is the right place.
We will definitely be back very soon ... I highly recommend trying it.
