24/08/2025: We went this summer with friends. We ate seafood. The atmosphere was comfortable, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. The dishes were beautifully presented and of excellent quality. We'll be back next year.

30/10/2025: I can only speak positively about it. Personally, it's been delighting my palate for 40 years. I remember when I was in middle school, since it's right across the street, I couldn't help but order a pizza with sausages upon leaving... The smell took you straight there. Years have passed, but history repeats itself. I highly recommend going there, even for lunch. Takeout is also available. Must try 💯💯💯💯

14/02/2026: We're visiting family in Altamura from Germany. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is fantastic. If we ever return to Altamura from the Ruhrgebiet, we'd love to stay here again.

24/12/2025: I went to this place for dinner. There's a lot of room for improvement, starting with the menu. How can two dishes on the menu be unavailable one evening? (I'm not saying they were sold out, but they weren't available that day), not even the chicken tagliata. Further room for improvement is the service: what did I pay for? Not even a bit of bread, absolutely nothing. Even those who ordered a glass of wine paid for the cover charge. As for the prices, they're excessive considering the quality of the product (I ordered a tagliata of beef). I don't think I'll go back again.

31/01/2026: A perfect stop at Ristoro degli Angeli, right near Monte Sant'Angelo Castle and ample parking, is a great option after visiting the village. The restaurant is spacious and welcoming, with a simple, friendly atmosphere. The cuisine offers well-prepared and authentic Apulian dishes: we appreciated the authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent quality. The staff, especially the very kind Maria Pia, was invaluable and available to offer advice, making the experience even more enjoyable. Excellent value for money. Recommended for anyone looking for good food in a strategic location while visiting the city! We will definitely be back! Claudia and Giuseppe Guida

17/11/2025: The croissants are poor, but the coffee is good. Prices are reasonable, with a croissant and coffee around 3-4 euros.

13/11/2025: Tasty (though very sweet) pancakes/ crepes. Nice soft wrap. Normal prices. Enjoyable atmosphere sitting outside. The only concern was the bathroom that could have been better.

30/12/2025: From the moment you step inside, you are made to feel at home. Gianni, Ida, Laura and the rest of the team are warm and attentive hosts who are always happy to explain the specialities with genuine passion. Everything here is a delight. The espresso and cappuccino are exceptional, the ice cream is superb, and the hot chocolate is rich and comforting, prepared in tempting variations such as amaretto, dark chocolate, white chocolate, or chocolate with almonds. The pastries are outstanding, especially the pasticciotti filled with pistachio or chocolate, a true taste of Puglia. I visited Brindisi at Christmas and could not resist taking home their mandorlaccio, a rare and traditional almond dessert made according to an artisanal recipe using only local ingredients. Only a small number of pasticcerie in Puglia still prepare it this way, and it truly shows. For quality, authenticity and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, this is a place you will want to return to and happily recommend to others.

28/12/2025: A tray of almond pastries, nothing short of extraordinary, were delivered to me in Vittorio Veneto (TV) by a friend of Apulian origins, and they were enough to eat them all in one bite... Compliments to all the staff... Lucio

21/02/2026: Good products but very expensive on Valentine's Day I had the happy idea of ​​​​getting some small fried dough hearts filled with Nutella and milk cream for 10 pieces I was asked 10 euros, that is one euro per piece, I really think it's exaggerated with a euro and 20 you can buy a craffen 5 times bigger... simple I will not go there again.

29/09/2025: Me and my partner were staying in Puglia for a week from the 19th of September, staying one night near Polignano a Mare, 3 nights in Ostuni, and 3 nights here in Castro - we were most excited about this hotel as our friend recommended it to us. Starting off positively, the hotel grounds were beautiful and the location idyllic. The staff were all so lovely, kind, and personable. We were left a little disappointed by the service however. When we arrived we were told someone would fetch our bags from the car and bring them to our room, and after waiting over an hour we ended up having to get them ourselves. We were also told there’s a WhatsApp number to text food/drink orders to from the pool (it looked like the pool bar was closed so maybe why) but when we asked another member of staff for this number they were confused and said they’ve never heard of that before. Having to order food and drink from the pool felt like a mission, climbing up all the steps to then wait at the bar or reception which was mostly unstaffed - then waiting over an hour and a half for lunch and a drink. Not really ideal sadly. I’m sure this was mostly because we visited slightly out of season but I feel like the service should remain the same regardless. We got the standard double room and it was very, very basic. There wasn’t WiFi and when we asked at reception they gave us our own WiFi box which was strange and should’ve been told upon checking in. I’d also recommend adding tea/coffee making facilites to the rooms, there were also only six hangers in the wardrobe and no draws to put the rest of our clothes. I think a lot of updating would make this place a haven. Dinner was (in our opinion) overly expensive for the small portions we had, so we left feeling hungry and decided to eat at surrounding restaurants for the rest of the trip. Onto more positives - breakfast was a big highlight, such a feast! Although does finish early (10 am) so wouldn’t recommend a lie in. And the views from the terrace at breakfast were just divine. The pool was the most tranquil place to relax, we did go to visit the private beach but it was a bit choppy and cold for us this time of year! The hotel also had tennis courts we didn’t have time to use, and a movie theatre outside but not sure how that works as nothing was ever playing? Again, the staff were truly lovely, I hope to come back again and have a better experience with the service and maybe book a better room.

24/09/2025: The location of the resort is truly unique – directly on the cliffs with stunning sea views from many areas, whether from the breakfast terrace or the pool. The friendliness of the staff is also noteworthy; minor issues were resolved immediately. We were less impressed with the suite we booked: The furnishings are quite basic, lacking storage space and comfortable seating, and the patio furniture appears basic. The air conditioning also didn't work reliably and was a bit difficult to operate. Overall, this gives the impression that the resort is in need of renovation and modernization in some areas. All in all, however, the great location outweighs any drawbacks, so the stay will remain a positive memory.

04/01/2026: The place looks inviting, but as soon as we entered, we realized how dismal it was. The service was terrible. The staff was arrogant and rude. Three of us came here on a Sunday during the Christmas holidays. As soon as we sat down and ordered, we were told that due to the restaurant's closure for the next day, ingredients were scarce and they couldn't prepare the same entree for two of us. The pellet stove made it difficult to have a conversation without being disturbed.

28/01/2026: A place that passes itself off as a pub, but only has one beer on tap (Castello). A total disappointment. The pizza was frankly nothing special. The karaoke also bothered us quite a bit throughout our stay. We had to move as far away as possible from where they were singing. I didn't like it.
