29/07/2024: My experience was positive, in addition to drinking a good coffee every time I am in Staffa, one evening I wanted to eat a pizza, it was full of people and tables booked but they arranged tables so that one could also come out for me, kind people and available and then what can I say....the pizza was fantastic, thank you Today after years I returned, they have changed management, it seems to me they don't make pizzas anymore, I only drank coffee but I must say fantastic staff, coinciding with the festival of the town of San Bernardo there were a lot of people at lunch, anyway all young and very kind, even if only to serve me a simple coffee, very nice place Today I returned, after about a month and I took the opportunity to enjoy lunch, luckily I had booked in the morning otherwise there wouldn't have been room, anyway excellent lunch, polenta with thickly sliced ​​city meat in wine and spices was really excellent, accompanied from an excellent wine and also enjoyed the dessert, all things done excellently by the owner's wife, the service good and fast, a view of the pink, what more could you ask for? 05/08/2024: I went the other day to take a walk in the beautiful Macugnaga, and then with the cable car I stopped to eat at the Rifugio Lago Smeraldo, being at more than 2800 meters the place is definitely worth a relaxing break. I ate outside, on the terrace with an amazing view. I ate very very well. There are many good things on the menu, I ate an excellent polenta with wild boar then I also tasted the braised meat, Macugnaghese pasta, and a fabulous cocotte of melted cheese with onions. There are also great desserts, yours made by them. I highly recommend a refreshing passage.

25/08/2024: A wonderful place! The food is excellent, I come back to eat here every time I go to Macugnaga. The Locanda never disappoints, everything is always delicious, generous portions and the prices are right. Highly recommended.

25/08/2024: I ate a really good ham and artichoke pizza, light dough and well stuffed. I gave 4 stars because I needed to review the pizza with vegetables made with frozen ones... The place seems nice and welcoming and the new management made up of young staff is kind and professional

18/12/2024: This hotel was recommended to us by a dear friend and I must say that we had a great time! My husband and I stayed here just for a weekend on a half board basis and we felt like we were at home. Claudio and his family are really kind, competent and always very helpful. My husband is lactose intolerant and has an allergy to tomatoes and although not notified at the time of booking, they immediately took action to prepare dishes suitable for him. The dinner was excellent and plentiful, the wine list was also good. The breakfast is fantastic. One of the best I have ever tried (see attached photos). We were given room no. 306, rather large and very bright, with a double bed (very comfortable) and a bunk bed. The bathroom is spacious, clean and the Beauty Oil organic soap, shower/shampoo and body cream sets with thermal water and olive oil are excellent. There is a bidet, slippers and a hairdryer. The only flaw is perhaps the slightly dated furnishings, but absolutely in line with the mountain style, all in wood. The bill was absolutely in line with the service offered. An experience absolutely worth repeating, perhaps in winter.

22/09/2024: I wanted to share my beautiful experience in this hotel. I came here with my husband and my two Pomeranians... Unfortunately the weather was not our friend, but we still managed to have a good weekend. The breakfast is top but the dinner is also WONDERFUL!!! EXCELLENT PRICES!! 👍 The typical wooden rooms and the truly relaxing mountain view. Thank you and thank you again for your patience especially with my little Leo…. ❤️❤️❤️
