27/02/2025: The Piedmontese city of Bra and Slow Food are inextricably linked. This is where the Università del Gusto, founded by the association, is located and the headquarters of the global organization for the promotion of natural and traditionally produced food. The Osteria del Boccondivino is located in the courtyard of the Slow Food headquarters. Together with its sister restaurant Osteria dell' Arco in Alba, it is one of the only restaurants in the world run by Slow Food - you can't get more Slow Food than that. Traditional local dishes with genuine ingredients from trusted local producers. No wonder Bra became a place of pilgrimage for gourmets from all over the world. What is astonishing is that the restaurants simply and unspectacularly serve their Piedmontese specialties every day to both locals and tourists interested in culinary delights. The restaurant terrace is a place of relaxation and enjoyment. Not only is the entire range of Piedmontese cuisine on offer here, but also a large selection of first-class wines from the region - the prices are sensationally low - this may also be because the restaurants are run by a cooperative. Our dinner began with first-class starters: Fassone beef tartare, Lardo and the famous Salsicia di Bra as well as crispy baked sweetbreads on caramelized onions and the legendary Tajarin, Piedmontese fine egg noodles made with 40 egg yolks per kg of flour. Afterwards we tried tender roast veal with rosemary jus or gravy and roasted peppers. The panna cotta offered here is one of the best in the world among gourmets and my favorite Bunet also tasted exceptionally good. The Rosé Diagonal from the Repetto winery in Sarezzano was a first-class accompaniment to this culinary summer evening in Bra.

23/02/2025: Yes, I admit in this case that I am biased, but in the end, speaking of the Battaglino Restaurant, what harm is there! When the culinary offering is excellent, genuine and interesting, the service is attentive, the environment is relaxed, one cannot help but compliment the owners and all the staff, warmly recommending this place in Braida with solid roots in the past, but with a direct and conscious eye on the future. Nothing to add, nothing to complain about, so try it. You won't regret it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

23/02/2025: While passing through Bra, we had lunch in this restaurant and we really enjoyed it. Very warm welcome. The wine and traditional dishes offered are excellent (trippa Battaglino++) The service at the top, and being able to have lunch or dinner under the wisteria arbor, as soon as the weather permits, a real pleasure. Thanks to the chef and the whole team.

08/02/2025: Small but well-kept place with modern furniture. Welcoming and friendly staff. I asked for plin ravioli with Bra sausage ragout. They were excellent. The pasta although fresh was cooked al dente. the ragù had a ratio of 1/3 tomato sauce 2/3 minced meat. I asked more or less how much it weighed and after he replied he told me that if I wanted it a little bigger they could do it. I did this and I haven't regretted it. It immediately made a good impression on me that it was packed with customers constantly coming in and out, you could read the satisfaction in their faces. When I go to Bra again I know where to eat!

Everything was very good, from the tasting of appetizers (Bra sausage, veal with tuna sauce, Russian salad and Fassona steak) to the tajarin with Bra sausage ragout, to the SLICED SCAMONE, very good. To finish, home-made dessert, coffee and digestive. Wine: Dolcetto d'Alba - PERTINACE, very good. Congratulations to everyone, especially to the chef Mattia. (great!)

09/01/2025: We spent Christmas here and the menu was super amazing! Dishes prepared both in terms of taste and harmony of flavours, as well as aesthetically. Lots of fish dishes, very tasty! Just to make it clear that here we eat stone-cooked meat... but they also know how to make fish and great too! 😃 Excellent service: attentive and very kind staff.

08/12/2024: The best artisan piadina in the province of Cuneo. Fresh and with many quality ingredients in generous doses. Prices more than fair. Bottled beer for 3 euros. The only flaw is the small room and the external bathroom. In summer the outdoor tables allow you to enjoy the excellent piadina with more peace of mind.

Location : molto bella Cucina : antipasti a base di carne buonissimi / primi : risotto al ragù vecchia maniera....SUBLIME.../ agnolotti al plin con burro...favolosi / tagliata.....non ho parole. vini : Arneis e Barbera....livello altissimo. CONSIGLIATO VIVAMENTE ....specialmente agli amanti della carne....la cella frigo è uno spettacolo. Servizio: 10 e lode....bravi ragazzi. consiglio : se andate per pranzo...prima o dopo una passeggiata nel centro storico di Plollenzo...ne vale la pena....fidatevi.
