07/12/2025: Excellent food. The waiter was young and inexperienced; he took away the Flemish steaks with pieces still inside without asking if he could. Even the pitcher of beer, if I ask for another, wait to take it away because there's still some left in it. Obviously, he needs to gain experience and develop an eye for detail. Nothing that can't be improved. The space between the tables is a bit tight. But thanks to the good food, these small flaws can certainly be overlooked.

02/11/2025: Everything was excellent. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Then the bill arrived. OVERWHELMING! €210 for 4 people. Four appetizers, two slices of ham, four pieces of cheese, a few beans each, and a basket of crescia. Four portions of meat, potatoes and salad, three desserts, and 1.5 liters of house wine. We asked for a receipt, and surprise! They had added an extra portion of meat... I'm sorry, but it seems excessive for a restaurant in Carpegna. And I don't want to add anything about the error in the bill.

26/11/2025: It's not easy to find a place where there isn't something that isn't good, at least decent... If I could have given it a -1, I would have. The menu consisted of two first courses and two second courses, of extremely poor quality, bordering on edible (two of my friends didn't even finish their dishes despite being hungry), and the quantity was also extremely low. I paid 14 euros per person, but I wouldn't go back even if they offered me lunch. I'll leave out other details I noted so as not to overdo the bad taste. I've been working for 40 years, and I've seen plenty of lunchtime places for "workers," so to speak, but this is truly, if not the worst, at least among the top 3.

12/12/2025: I don't like writing negative reviews, but in this case I thought it was appropriate to warn customers. Today I went to this piadina shop with a colleague for lunch, and since we didn't feel like eating piadina, we each chose a large salad. She had a Caesar salad, and I had a Nicoise salad with olives and tuna. To order, I had to get the waitress's attention several times, and I can accept that: it was the end of the shift, there were very few customers, and perhaps the reduced number of customers had also dampened the service. Then, however, we waited quite a while for two simple salads. Finally, our orders arrived, and I started with lettuce and arugula, gradually working my way up to the tuna, which I saved for last, and my mouth began to feel uncomfortable. By the end, my entire mouth was swollen, and the mucous membranes inside me were swollen and inflamed. The waitress arrives and, faced with my swollen lips (it looked like I'd had Botox injections just minutes earlier) and the explanation of the probable cause of my discomfort, responds with a "Sounds good!" After coffee, we go to pay, and I tell the waitress it's time to check the tuna. "Oh, right, I wanted to ask you how it went." I reiterate that the tuna isn't good: "I'll report it." I pay full price (16 euros for a salad, an empty piadina, and a coffee) and leave. During the half-hour drive home, I feel stomach cramps, and upon arriving home, I have to run to the bathroom twice. My stomach is in turmoil, and I have a headache. I describe my symptoms on Google, and a funny but coherent explanation comes up: scombroid syndrome (sic!) caused by poorly refrigerated canned fish, which produces histamine, triggering an immediate allergic reaction to the lining of the mouth, stomach, and intestines. It's understandable. Thank goodness it's not Botox (the dangerous kind). I'm a little pissed off and call the restaurant to complain. And, despite having vented, the simple "I'm sorry" from the person who replied still leaves me unsatisfied. Moral of the story: I won't go back there and I won't recommend it to anyone. On the other hand, I have a handy response for every occasion: "Sorry!"
