A restaurant where you can eat truly excellently, with even sophisticated, Michelin-starred dishes like spaghetti with orange-infused butter and shrimp tartare or braised bacon. The dessert is also a must-try: peach and mascarpone tart, incredibly light despite the mascarpone. If you're in Varese, go there.

14/12/2025: A fantastic experience at Cherì, a seafood restaurant I absolutely recommend. We started with a mix of raw and hot appetizers, all delicious: the raw seafood was incredibly fresh and of the highest quality. This was followed by a spectacular pan-fried dish with whole lobster, scampi, corn on the cob, and prawns: a rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked dish. To conclude, spaghetti with clams, scampi, and bottarga—simply exceptional. A balance of flavors that made the whole experience unique. Definitely worth repeating. Kudos to the staff and the kitchen!

You won't find novelty dishes, but you'll find substance and flavor. It's suitable for even large groups, good service, and an "old-fashioned" atmosphere, probably left that way on purpose to emphasize that this is a traditional Lombard osteria. Easy to reach if you arrive from the highway and take the Varese lakefront.

I only found the side dish a bit pricey (for this reason, I'd prefer all prices to be displayed or provide more information to first-time visitors; there are chalkboards and signs, but if you don't know where to look, you can get a bit lost). Otherwise, it's reasonable. I'll gladly return on other occasions.

The dessert, the apple pie, was a little small, but I'm speaking for those of us with a sweet tooth. Maybe after a large meal, but for others it's just right. I'll definitely be back.

The service was impeccable, and especially the food and the staff in the dining room were prompt. Excellent food, generous portions, we shared the appetizer we ordered (a normal person can easily fill up if they eat it alone), and the gnocchi were amazing; after all, Pastificio Dò never disappoints... Special mention for the gnocchi with bottarga, wonderful.

28/12/2025: Very nice hotel right in the city center with spacious and very warm rooms. The double bed was large and very comfortable, with fairly comfortable pillows. The bathroom was spacious and warm, with the only flaw being the shower stall's water supply, which was difficult to close. It's a shame that on my last day, some of my towels were taken away, which took away a significant amount of comfort. The staff was helpful, even when I asked to book the room for the following day due to the general transport strike that left me stuck in Varese. They were very kind and let me use the same room. Breakfast was good, although the lactose-free options could be improved. The only flaw is the reception: there's never anyone there, and when you need help in the evening around dinnertime, you can call for hours, go downstairs countless times, but no one will answer. A shame. The in-room fridge and complimentary water are convenient. Recommended.

10/01/2026: Overall, a negative experience, especially for one key aspect. The absence of nut contamination on pizzas is not guaranteed. This is truly absurd in 2026: a person with an allergy can't even eat a simple pizza. This is a serious food safety violation for a pizzeria/restaurant. Regarding service, the staff was attentive: they came several times to ask if we had ordered and if we needed anything. However, the organization was not smooth: the dishes arrived slowly, an extra pizza was charged, and when it came to the bill, there was confusion because the old table was still listed. Finally, if you are seated near the entrance, the electric sliding door opens constantly as people pass by, causing constant drafts of cold air to fall on those seated there, making the meal decidedly unpleasant. Overall, several aspects need to be reviewed, especially regarding allergy awareness and room management.
