18/11/2025: Exceptional seafood restaurant, the best between Tortoreto, Alba and Giulianova. I am a regular customer and the quality and freshness of the fish has never disappointed me, so as an appetizer I always opt for a nice raw fish platter. The last time I tried sushi and obviously I was very satisfied. As for the first courses, they are good but very classic, in fact I only tried the linguine with tuna tartare, basil and ginger pesto once, delicate and pleasant. Highly recommended!

06/11/2025: Looking for authentic food and traditional dishes? Head to Osteria del Centenate! Tasting menu at an affordable price and generous portions. You won't find novelty dishes, but you'll find substance and flavor. It's suitable for even large groups, good service, and an "old-fashioned" atmosphere, probably left that way on purpose to emphasize that this is a traditional Lombard osteria. Easy to reach if you arrive from the highway and take the Varese lakefront.

18/10/2025: Disclaimer: I love this place; we come several times a year. I have no complaints about the quality of the food; on the contrary, it's all delicious, and they were incredibly kind because one of the girls had numerous allergies, so they were very accommodating. This time, however, when we went to the cashier to pay (we each wanted to pay for what we'd consumed, and there were four of us, not ten), the owner told us it wasn't possible: "You've had time to sit down," and that we could settle down later. We stayed longer than the reservation time, that's true. It's also true that if a table had been served, we would have gotten up without a problem, but that wasn't the case. So I don't understand this kind of "retaliation." We'll definitely be back because the food and staff are excellent, but this, to be honest, left us a little perplexed.

14/10/2025: The risottos have become banal and unremarkable. The gnocchi are excellent. The portions are good only on individual plates...while on second and third plates...they're small.

12/11/2025: Small business with home made food, good for vegans and vegetarians. Each day a slightly different menu, probably depending on available groceries. All is very tasty and you cannot resist to try each of your favourite options (they offer half portions, so you can actually do that).

02/11/2025: One of the best places in Varese and its province. We feel at home every time because we eat so well and are welcomed so warmly. Every Sunday they have live music that's delightful and engaging. There should be more places like this, but on the other hand, La Vecchia Varese is unique. Thanks guys!

01/11/2025: A welcoming place with friendly, helpful staff. The food is simply excellent, from the burgers to the legendary cutlet, not to mention the tartare with mustard ice cream... incredible! The quality and variety of beers, traditional and local liqueurs, are also excellent. I'll definitely be back!

07/10/2025: A complete and functional shopping center. The Belforte Shopping Center is a reference point for shopping in Varese. I find it a convenient and well-organized place, perfect for shopping. The wide selection of shops and the well-stocked hypermarket are its strong points. The location is strategic, easy to reach, and the free parking is a great plus. In short, the Belforte is a center I recommend for its convenience and variety.

05/09/2025: I haven't been back to Robarello in at least 10 years. I thought the owner, Antonio, had retired. Instead, I found him better than ever, with an exciting selection of dishes (especially fish). I recommend asking the waiters for off-the-list items, though: they have the best. For example, yesterday I had black tagliolini with shrimp that was absolutely amazing. The appetizer was also wonderful, with a special mention for the shrimp fritters. Antonio, hang in there: as long as there are people like you, Italian dining will be top-notch. Despite the Michelin-starred restaurants, whose dishes you could replicate for a tenth of the price. Hats off...

16/07/2025: Excellent food with a wide selection of beers, a welcoming atmosphere with a very cool and pleasant terrace. Friendly and helpful waiters, slightly higher prices than other pubs.

12/07/2025: The beer and cured meats were good. Shame about the chicken... and the bill: saltier than the chicken.
