19/08/2025: The atmosphere is cool and unique, where you can simply forget your phone in your pocket. You can order two or three gnocchi or rice dishes, and given the generous portions, you can easily finish your meal. Service is fast. The price is appropriate for the location and the quality of the food. You have to absolutely love the gnocchi and rice, which are sometimes simple but hearty. If you don't want the classic pizza or sandwich, you can fill up on a big meal... but let's not call it a business lunch.

24/08/2025: Last week I returned after a couple of years... and I still found quality and good food, a clean environment, and excellent service. It's also recommended for families for the friendliness of the staff with children and the special menu. (There's no comparison to fast food restaurants where people insist on bringing their kids.) I recommend stopping by!

05/09/2025: I haven't been back to Robarello in at least 10 years. I thought the owner, Antonio, had retired. Instead, I found him better than ever, with an exciting selection of dishes (especially fish). I recommend asking the waiters for off-the-list items, though: they have the best. For example, yesterday I had black tagliolini with shrimp that was absolutely amazing. The appetizer was also wonderful, with a special mention for the shrimp fritters. Antonio, hang in there: as long as there are people like you, Italian dining will be top-notch. Despite the Michelin-starred restaurants, whose dishes you could replicate for a tenth of the price. Hats off...

31/08/2025: We had two sublime tuna tartares. Extremely fresh and divine in flavor, thanks to the expert blend of tuna and sesame seeds. I'd say it was spectacular. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Top notch. The owner was charming and classy. We'll be back again in a hurry.

23/08/2025: A pleasant discovery not far from the center of Varese. An intimate atmosphere, vintage details everywhere, and delicious cuisine. The staff is also very knowledgeable and friendly. The only downside: parking is extremely limited!

13/08/2025: Aperitif, we're not there ... I should have given only one star, but since we had a simple aperitif and didn't use the hotel or restaurant, it didn't seem right to give it an extremely negative rating. The platter for two was actually 80% bread slices with chickpea cream and olive pâté, with just a tiny sampling of cured meats and cheeses. The cost of the ingredients didn't exceed 5-6 euros, and it sold for 34 euros. Focaccia for 9 euros with supermarket cooked ham and very salty bread (it even seemed reheated). We ate because we were hungry. I had a Bordeaux Spritz. Personally, I think it's an anonymous reinterpretation with a sweetish aftertaste that didn't go well with the aperitif (but these are subjective tastes). Afterwards, I had a classic Spritz, which was very poorly made. Tasteless, colorless, served in antique glassware. A charming location. the rooms will be beautiful and very clean, as will the restaurant which I will definitely try.... but the aperitif is absolutely not up to par, expensive and of low quality, it needs improvement!!

15/08/2025: Fast service and excellent food. I brought two friends visiting from abroad, and they were impressed by the speed, affordable prices, and quality of the ingredients. (This review refers to the old management. I haven't been back since the new management took over in 2025.)
