A wonderful experience, the host is incredibly welcoming... the location is the most beautiful in Chiavenna, elegant, refined... silver cutlery, clean and very welcoming... a menu that satisfies the most discerning palates, including truffle tasters... the photos speak for themselves.
21/10/2025: Excellent restaurant, highly recommended. Impeccable service, kind and friendly staff. Excellent food: Bresaola carpaccio, octopus in cream sauce, homemade pizzoccheri, and tagliolini with clams.

11/01/2026: Fantastic gourmet pizzas in the center of Chiavenna. The service is extremely friendly, and the selection and variety of pizzas is excellent. Reservations are recommended as it's very popular. We particularly appreciated the attention paid to ensuring our table was already set, complete with a baby seat and plastic plate. Excellent restaurant!

07/01/2026: I booked a table by phone for January 6, 2026, at 1:30 PM for three people. We arrived at 1:20 PM and were told there was no table available and no reservations, much to our disappointment and, above all, disappointment.
The only option they offered was a table in the corner near the entrance, which was already occupied by a man reading the newspaper.
Disappointedly, we had to switch to another restaurant at the last minute, thinking we'd come from Sondrio to try Crotto's cuisine.
A bitter experience that, for me, ends here because there won't be a second visit.

Quality food. The bresaola was truly excellent, not to mention the pizzoccheri and tagliata. The desserts are highly recommended.
We thank the excellent staff who made our evening pleasant and welcoming.
10/01/2026: It's a place that can't be missed, everything is delicious, they have exceptional dishes, made impeccably... every forkful brings a tear to my eye because I was almost finished...!!!

15/01/2026: Courtesy, friendliness and professionalism combined with a welcoming and very clean place.... the location is positioned near the Chiavenna station... and my window was overlooking the weekly Saturday market... excellent breakfast and above all with the restaurant with a less full of delicacies.... thank you, see you soon
05/01/2026: Very nice, but above all, very, very clean! It passed the white sock test. We found managing the numerous spotlights a bit awkward, but the fourth-floor room had wooden beams and a truly quaint atmosphere, despite the modern furnishings (all NEW). The default temperature was 23.5°C, which was too hot for us, but once we learned we could lower it ourselves, it was super comfortable.
The third and fourth beds were not bunk beds as booked, but rather two armchairs (which was better).

15/01/2026: Perfect place to stop for a coffee break or an aperitif, also perfect for a full lunch. The Chiavenna gnocchetti are as good as you'd find in a traditional crotto, and the piadinas are even better. Delicious, and the price is consistent with the excellent quality.

01/10/2025: A small place to get pizza by the slice. The cuts are practically already made. For a slice of topped pizza to share between two, we spent under €5, if I remember correctly.
A white base, good and sweet tomato sauce, and toppings that add a bit of flavor. A good pizza, but nothing extraordinary.
