Here's a very harsh version, but one that focuses on the experience: 1 star Running a refuge is a lifestyle choice that should be guided by a passion for hospitality, and the desire to let people experience a pleasant day immersed in nature. Unfortunately, our experience was the exact opposite. We organized a company lunch for 30 adults and 16 children, with no particular budget constraints. We were offered menus for 20, 30, and 40 euros, and we naturally chose the most comprehensive one at 40 euros per person, expecting top-notch service. The first problems emerged right from the appetizers: the platters were clearly insufficient, so much so that some tables were completely missing them, and only one was served for every two tables. We had to repeatedly ask for refills. The same situation occurred with the wine, bread, and even water: nothing was served spontaneously, and every request seemed almost inconvenient. The service times were simply unacceptable. We sat down at 12:00 and didn't start eating until around 12:30. At 3:00 PM, I had to get up, pay the bill, and leave for a pre-booked engagement without even having received a second course. Many people didn't even eat their second course, and then they say about restaurants in downtown Como... The most disappointing aspect, however, was the attitude of the owner, who proved unhelpful and unfriendly. Every request, even the most basic, seemed to be met with obvious impatience. In a restaurant business, and especially in a refuge where hospitality should be the primary value, this attitude is difficult to understand. In the end, we left over €2,050 in the restaurant, a significant sum that should have guaranteed at least organized service and a minimum level of customer care. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. It was an experience we won't repeat and one we can't recommend. A real shame, because the natural setting deserves very different management.
