07/11/2025: Really helpful staff and lovely pizzas. For a place like Bellagio we thought it was very reasonable.

11/10/2025: This hotel is not as advertised. There is no air conditioning in the offseason. If known prior to booking I would have made reservations at a different accommodation. However this was not communicated in person or online. Our room was at 26 degrees Celsius (79 Fahrenheit) in October which is not acceptable with no circulating air. I placed my complaint with that staff and they assure this would be corrected. However it was not. We were told to open the window (that does not fully open) and to use the fan and that most guests prefer 23 degrees Celsius which is not what it is set at. I will be requesting a full refund due to the fact that there is no air conditioning available during the off season despite advertised amenities. For an accommodation located at the “pearl of the lake” I expected more. Especially considering the price. Save you efforts and book elsewhere.

13/10/2025: Trattoria San Giacomo is the place you find yourself at after you’ve failed to make dinner reservations elsewhere. The wait isn’t too bad. You are in the prettiest part of Bellagio and they offer pillows that you can sit down on as you wait on the stairs. They try their best to accommodate everyone and the staff is very communicative about timing. The food is not great. Perhaps some dishes are good, but overall not great. I decided to keep it simple—I ordered the pasta dish of the day which was a mushroom pasta and the fresh ricotta and spinach ravioli in sage and butter sauce. The pasta dish with mushrooms was so bad that I had them replace it, which they were kind enough to do with no charge. The mushrooms were boiled, tasteless and soggy. The pasta was served with the boiling water it came with, or that’s what I’m assuming as it was clear and bland. The ricotta ravioli on the other hand was good. Good, but not great. This is definitely a restaurant catered to tourists, which is fine. You’re just not going to have a fantastic meal here.

11/10/2025: We waited in line 45 minutes before they opened as you have to or you won’t get a spot, no reservations accepted. They have cushions you can crab and sit on the steps. Inside they play older American music loudly. Wish they had Italian music, would make for a better ambiance. After we were seated inside a little after 7pm it took 15 minutes to take our drink orders then another 15-20 minutes to get our water and coke delivered. We ordered the salad and soup of the day which were fine after we doused them with salt. We ordered the Osso Buco di Vitelo and the Tagliolini with meat sauce. Both were very bland and had no taste, had to douse them with salt. The beef shank was soft and tasted good after seasoning. The pasta was below average even after seasoning, barely any sauce or meat. Over all disappointed with the experience-this is a very hyped up place and not worth the hoops you have to jump through and time to get in here. We hoped for a better experience, but will not be coming back.

21/12/2025: The staff is not friendly and discriminating She talk not nice and look down to Asian. They charged 2 Coperto but don't give us the bread. Despite other tables got it.

20/12/2025: We had carpaccio, Pinot white wine, and two pizzas. Everything was fantastic. The staff were friendly. The food was prepared very quickly and was very fresh. It was a very delicious lunch.

21/10/2025: Food and service were outstanding. Not to mention the stunning view. My husband and I went there for a coffee at first and the staff was so lovely we decided to go back for brunch. After that we went back for dinner. We just couldn't get enough of this place. We had a 3 weeks vacation driving around Italy and our experience at Terraza was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. The dinner we had was comparable to a Michelin star restaurant. Andrea and Nico were lovely and offered impeccable service. Looking forward to my next Lake Como trip.

04/12/2025: Beautiful restaurant with excellent service. The food was mid. I got the fish ravioli with saffron sauce and I did not like it at all. I did try the mushroom steak and it was really good though. I also didn’t like the pizza that much. Overall it was a good experience, but not worth it to me.

02/03/2026: Very small portions and mediocre food. Not to mention the bill: absolutely excessive for what we consumed. My partner is celiac, and we had recommended special care when preparing the risotto, which included fried anchovies. We were told they were breaded with rice flour, but they were most likely fried in oil already used for other dishes. After lunch, my partner had a severe reaction consistent with gluten contamination and has been sick for several days. With celiac disease, attention to contamination is crucial.

27/02/2026: The scenery was truly amazing. I went in mid-February, and it wasn't cold at all, so I enjoyed a comfortable meal alone at the outdoor table. While traveling in Italy for over ten days, I struggled with food that didn't suit my taste (too salty, undercooked, etc.), but here, I devoured every single bowl. I ordered spicy shrimp pasta, but it wasn't spicy at all. I wished it had a bit more pepperoncino. I thought it tasted familiar, so I thought it tasted a bit similar to Chef Choi Hyun-seok's meal kit pasta sold on Kurly (I love Chef Choi Hyun-seok's meal kits). I went alone, but the seating was great, the view was beautiful, and the weather was perfect, so I had a cake for dessert. I thought it would taste even better without the syrup on top. Maybe it was just my imagination, but it was still edible. The person taking my order said it was the best choice. The staff was quite accommodating, and they constantly checked on me to see if I needed anything. For a seaside tourist destination, the food prices weren't bad. Overall, the prices were comparable to those in Rome or Florence.

23/01/2026: The restaurant looked unassuming from the outside and inside. However, upon entering, we were pleasantly surprised. A homely, family atmosphere was palpable. A smiling waiter invited us to a table and patiently waited while we placed our final order – it was difficult to decide, as the menu had so many dishes. Ultimately, we opted for the classic carbonara and gnocchi with vegetables. These were the best dishes we had at any restaurant on Lake Como during our week-long trip. The limoncello at the bar was also decent. The only thing that tempted us to visit this place was its opening hours, which didn't change during siesta – all the recommended restaurants were closed. Luckily, we found it and didn't rely on the reviews, which are definitely unfounded… If you're looking for a secluded place with delicious food (especially), we wholeheartedly recommend it!

10/01/2026: We had coffee after walking up to the Volta Lighthouse via the funicular. A nice hot chocolate or a beer for some, and then we were ready to walk back down and take the funicular again. The view of Lake Como from the restaurant or the terrace is splendid. The service was friendly.

15/02/2026: A place where you can sit by the lake, have a snack or a drink, very close to the ferry pier, you can enjoy it while waiting for the ferry.

14/02/2026: The owner was so kind to us- we were stranded with no ferry or transportation and he was able to call a friend to organize a taxi for us. A very caring man! Thank you for helping 2 strangers!

24/02/2026: This restaurant is a real find when you're looking for a place to eat in Bellagio. It doesn't look too expensive on paper, but when you see the "cuisine" and the food on the plate, you realize it would have been better to spend a few extra euros for quality. The dishes are reheated pre-packaged meals. I ordered a tasteless carbonara with bits of meat that weren't really comparable to guanciale or pancetta. Luckily, they served us Parmesan cheese to try and salvage the flavor. However, the waitresses were undeniably friendly. But for a plate of reheated pasta, €13 plus a €2 cover charge is expensive.

09/09/2025: I must say that despite the less than stellar reviews, we ate well. Recommended by the staff, we had three delicious fish-based first courses (some fresh, some frozen), two fried calamari and shrimp dishes (frozen but good), well-fried, crispy, and not greasy, and a roast swordfish and shrimp. Three excellent, freshly made tiramisu concluded the meal. The wine was good, and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend it.

08/09/2025: For a few years now, we have been regularly frequenting this lovely place during our holidays in Salento. Good food, good service, and excellent value for money, both for a pizzeria and a restaurant. All of this is often accompanied by background music, which is always a plus. I highly recommend it!

09/10/2025: The hotel is historic which I like, location was excellent, rooms and food were terrible. Service was good. They gave us a water kettle and tea bags when we asked for them.

08/10/2025: Friendly and keen to serve staff, fantastic location and a nice breakfast. Unfortunately our stay was spoiled by frequent cockroach visitations in the bathroom!! It would have been at least a 4 star....

18/07/2025: We weren't given any menu option even though we have seen they had more to offer. Only cash was accepted!!!!

09/07/2025: You can rent a pool area here for a "day out". Drinks and food are okay.
