15/03/2026: We had lunch at Maso Guera in Ponte di Legno and were very satisfied. We ate excellent pizzoccheri, truly flavorful and well-made, and very good and plentiful polenta with mushrooms: typical mountain dishes prepared with care. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, in perfect mountain style, and the staff was kind and helpful. We were also pleased to find a changing table for our baby, a much-appreciated detail that makes the place even more convenient for families. An ideal place to stop for lunch after a day in the mountains. Recommended!

06/03/2026: We frequented this place several times during our skiing holiday in Ponte di Legno, and were always warmly received, assigned a table, and most importantly - enjoyed great food. We had different pizzas which were amazing (suggesting esp. quattto stagione), pastas (the one with deer was delicious I could've eaten every night), meat (pork knuckle w polenta rocks) and everything else. Service is friendly and fast, you feel it's a family business with all the care given, a d would be very happy to come back. Keep on great work.

28/01/2026: Historic hotel in a central location close to the slopes, with a family atmosphere. Rooms are a little dated, but everything is very clean. The hotel's cuisine is truly delicious, as is the breakfast. The wellness area is very pleasant after skiing. This hotel offers a 20% discount on the ski pass.

Accessible by skis or chairlift, it's well-organized, charming, and meticulously maintained, offering everything from aperitifs to brunches, quick lunches, and à la carte menus. The young, friendly, and knowledgeable staff provide prompt service, always smiling, and are ready to accommodate any guest's needs. Given the high demand, I recommend booking.

09/03/2026: Splendid view, absent humanity I write this review with deep regret after my experience at Malga Valbione. Despite the beauty of the location, the service I received (or rather, denied) was unacceptable. While sitting at the outdoor tables, in pain from a knee injury I had just suffered while skiing, I politely asked a waiter (a man with a ponytail, glasses, and a beard) for some ice. The response was as cold as the ice I was looking for: I was told that, since it was self-service, I would have to get up and go get it inside. I find it paradoxical that in a situation of obvious physical difficulty, the "house rules" are placed before the most basic sense of assistance and courtesy. If it hadn't been for the sensitivity of a customer at a nearby table—whom I still thank from the bottom of my heart for helping me when I saw I was unable to walk—I would have been left without assistance. A place so popular with athletes should train its staff in managing minor emergencies and, above all, in empathy. What a shame.

18/01/2026: If I could give it 0 stars, I would. I went to this place last week. The owners were rude and completely unprofessional. I wanted to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend. I booked a table with a confirmation, but once I arrived, I had to wait 35 minutes for the table. This is unacceptable. Needless to say, don't come to this place! Have a picnic in the middle of a meadow instead.

18/01/2026: I had booked a table for four people two days in advance to celebrate my birthday. When I arrived, the table simply wasn't there. After a 40-minute wait, I was forced to leave. In the face of a clear mistake entirely attributable to the restaurant's poor management, no solution was offered, much less an apology. On the contrary, the owners' attitude was rude, superficial, and completely dismissive. Instead of attending to the customers left waiting, they preferred to sip sparkling wine (or something) with an acquaintance of theirs who had entered the restaurant after us. Unacceptable behavior, lacking any professionalism or respect for those who choose your restaurant for an important occasion. A terrible experience in every way. Absolutely avoid; if I could, I'd give you zero stars.

01/03/2026: A truly pleasant lunch at a refuge at about 1,900 meters above sea level, in a panoramic location offering a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. It can be reached with a pleasant hike, ideal for those who love hiking, or comfortably by chairlift for just €6, a truly affordable price. The atmosphere is typical of a mountain refuge: rustic, welcoming, and authentic. Crowding is normal, although obviously it depends greatly on the time of year and the season. We ate really well. The pizzoccheri were very good, flavorful, and well-seasoned, a traditional dish prepared as it should be. The single dish of polenta, mushrooms, salami, and cheese was also excellent: plentiful and perfect after a hike. The canederli were a pleasant surprise, super tasty and soft. The venison steak with polenta was also very good, the meat tender and well-cooked. A special mention goes to the French fries, truly luxurious, crispy, and perfectly cooked. We washed it all down with beers and coffees. Service was quick and the staff were friendly, always available despite the bustle. We spent €36 each for three people: considering the quality, quantity, and location at 1900 meters, I'd say it's excellent value for money.

27/02/2026: I can't judge the restaurant upstairs because I haven't tried it, but the restaurant-bar downstairs is absolutely to be avoided. The cutlet was fried in an indecipherable oil that tasted stale, the vegetables were burnt instead of gratinated, and the service staff were quite rude. If you need to stop for a quick lunch, go elsewhere. The only thing worth it is the view of the lake.
