This restaurant is truly a hidden gem, its potential wasted by the owner's "cool and aloof" demeanor! Before coming, I read many reviews, and many mentioned the owner's attitude was a bit harsh, which made me a little apprehensive. But I figured the most important thing about a restaurant is the food, and everyone has a different personality and way of expressing themselves, so we decided to give it a try anyway. The result? A wonderful surprise! Our group of five ordered two appetizers, two main courses, and four main dishes. Every dish was generously portioned, authentically seasoned, and made with incredibly fresh ingredients. Most remarkably, everyone finished every last bite; not a single dish was disappointing. It was clear the kitchen had put a lot of effort into the ingredients and the presentation; it was a very local and heartfelt meal. As for the owner, who was the subject of much discussion, she did have a rather serious expression throughout and spoke quite directly, not the particularly warm and outgoing type. However, on a side note, her outfit that day was exceptionally beautiful, with exquisite details and a sparkly finish, making her stand out as she bustled around the restaurant. I wanted to compliment her several times, but seeing her consistently serious expression, I ultimately held back. Actually, during my time there, I didn't encounter any unpleasant situations. On the contrary, I could tell she was genuinely dedicated to running the restaurant; it's just that her way of expressing herself is a bit different from the service style many people are used to. If she could occasionally smile a little more, I believe it would greatly enhance the customer experience. It's worth mentioning that the male servers and the chubby chef were exceptionally warm and friendly, providing attentive service throughout, making the entire dining experience relaxed and enjoyable. If, like us, you prioritize the food itself rather than overly enthusiastic service, then this restaurant is definitely worth a try. Don't be deterred by the "aloof" reputation, because the food here is absolutely worth a special trip.

Good restaurant with average prices. Very friendly staff. We had the guanciale in both versions (Siena-style and with mushrooms), both excellent and expertly cooked.

3 stars only because it's not possible to give 2.5. The restaurant looks very nice, but the overall experience didn't live up to expectations. We were greeted by a waiter who was probably a novice, and the service was inattentive throughout the evening. The value for money is decidedly questionable: for four of us, we spent €180 for a main course, dessert, and wine. A bill that, in itself, might even be slightly above average, but it's not justified by the amount we received. In particular: - We were initially served a different dish than the one we ordered, and we spent about 20 minutes arguing with the waiter, who initially didn't acknowledge the mistake. - The strawberry tiramisu was practically inedible. - The chocolate cake arrived incomplete; after reporting it, the dish was returned, but it was still missing a portion. Overall, a disappointing experience. There are much cheaper alternatives with better food and more attentive service.

A well-kept restaurant, for sure. We went for a business lunch. The food was good (choice of three first courses and two second courses). €15 (including water and coffee) seems a bit high. Overall, however, it's recommended.

It’s hard to give a clear-cut opinion, so I’ll describe everything. Despite earlier negative reviews about the staff not speaking English, I have to disagree—two of the waiters were able to communicate in English. One waiter approached us himself and asked if he could recommend something. We went along with his suggestions and ordered steak, potatoes, boiled vegetables, risotto, spinach gnocchi, braised venison, and fresh vegetables. The gnocchi and the braised venison were excellent! The risotto was average, while the steak was one of the weaker ones I’ve had. I might have accepted that if it weren’t for the fact that the steak alone cost nearly €60—I expected more. The biggest disappointment was the forgotten boiled vegetables. By the time we had practically finished our meal, they finally arrived—and they looked like frozen supermarket vegetables. A big letdown 😬 So we thought, let’s give it one last chance—dessert. Unfortunately, another disappointment: the tiramisu didn’t suit my taste, especially the whipped cream. To sum up: next time I’d go for the spinach gnocchi, the braised venison, and maybe try the recommended pasta dishes. €180 for dinner for four people without wine, with several slip-ups, is rather unacceptable to me - sorry :(

Excellent food, excellent and friendly service, and the dessert, tiramisu, was different from the usual. Personally, I didn't like it. However, I highly recommend the place.

We stopped by on our way to get a quick bite. The food was amazing. Have the traditional Gnocci made by the owners original recipe.

I went there for dinner. The food was fabulous, the portions were normal, not tapas like most places these days. The service was excellent. The waiter didn't stare at you waiting for you to finish your dish, and he gave you all the time you needed to enjoy the food. We went quite late for the restaurant's opening hours, and the owner even let us stay after the waiters finished their shift. You absolutely must stop by if you're in town!
