28/03/2025: I came here because of my tour and it was evident after my experience our tour guides wanted to help their friends out in their trying restaurant. I ordered a pasta dish with shrimp and it took me at least ten minutes to pull apart the shells from the actual fish. The pasta was alright but I was sick in bed later because something about the shrimp was off. The staff kept watching us and I felt uncomfortable. The bread was hard as a rock and the dessert was very sketchy. Considering there are Michelin rated restaurants just a few minutes away literally on the sea coast, and only for max 10€ more, I do not recommend at all. There are much better options to spend with your time and appetite.

03/10/2024: During a guided excursion we were directed to this establishment for dinner. We were placed quickly like cattle. We paid 30€ per person for a meal worthy of a hospital. Insufficient portion, non-existent presentation and basic taste. Dessert served in aluminum cupolas (portion 2 teaspoons). In the photo baby spoon. Next door, very superior menus are offered for half the price. It’s a scam!!!

23/02/2025: Attratto dal nome Napul'e' ho scelto di andare in questo posto dove di Napoli e della cucina napoletana ha veramente niente iniziando dal personale, e proseguendo dall'ambiente e infine ahimè dalla cucina . Polpo alla griglia(non grigliato) immangiabile, calamari congelati e cotti male, penne all'arrabbiata slavati e non parliamo del conto, meglio non parlarne. Mi dispiace dirlo, ma da rivedere praticamente tutto.

20/02/2025: Les pizzas sont sans intérêt et presque aucune ne contient de la viande au autre protéines. Les services est vraiment expéditif et tout sauf souriant. Le spritz est tout petit mais la table à côté en a eu un deux fois plus grand !!! Heureusement qu’il y avait le soleil en terrasse.

05/01/2025: Non sono solita lasciare recensioni ai ristoranti dove mangio, se non pienamente positive, ma in questo caso mi sento di farlo perchè detesto la scorrettezza e la poca trasparenza. Premetto che io ed il mio compagno abbiamo mangiato davvero bene: a nostro gusto, il pesce che ci hanno servito come antipasto ed i successivi primi erano ottimi: materie prime fresche, presentazione dei piatti piacevole e personale di sala gentile. PECCATO CHE... avevamo ordinato del polpo con purea di patate come antipasto (uno in due: non siamo dei gran mangioni) e ci è arrivato un piatto diverso: quattro/cinque assaggi di pesce crudo e cotto (davvero molto buono). Successivamente sono arrivati i nostri primi: spaghetti alle vongole veraci per il mio compagno e spaghetti al pesto per me. PECCATO CHE io avessi ordinato delle trofie al pesto con crema di patate. Dato che si trattava della seconda incongruenza, questa volta lo abbiamo fatto presente al cameriere che si è scusato dicendo che avevano terminato le trofie fatte in casa e (a quanto pare) anche la purea di patate. Gentilmente abbiamo fatto presente che era tutto comunque buono, ma, detto tra noi, sarebbe stato più corretto avvisare prima di farci arrivare il piatto in tavola (non siamo liguri, ma sappiamo distinguere degli spaghetti da delle trofie... Quindi, se non avessimo detto nulla, sarebbe passato tutto in cavalleria?). A parte ciò, sarebbe anche filato tutto liscio PECCATO CHE al momento del conto, abbiamo scoperto che l'antipasto che ci hanno servito costava ben € 40 euro in sostituzione del nostro polpo con purea che ne costava circa 15 se non ricordo male. Ora: non siamo il tipo di persone che fa polemica al momento di pagare il conto, dovevamo farlo presente subito: però ci vuole anche un pò di correttezza e trasparenza! Siamo turisti, non siamo polli da spennare! Ho dato tre stelle perchè, ribadisco, abbiamo mangiato bene, ma non torneremo sicuramente.

11/04/2025: Un excelente café con clase en la vieja Génova! Café y pasteles son deliciosos y nuestra familia fue muy bien recibida! Recomendamos!

06/04/2025: There is no question about the fact that it is a historic café of excellent quality. However, the fact that the tables are covered with the words no credit card is not acceptable. Since this is a legal obligation, such behavior is not permitted. I believe it is also disrespectful towards all the other operators who, happy or not, comply with the current legislation. In addition to being prohibited, it is also a bad message for foreign customers, who could recall typical stereotypes of Italy that in reality do not belong to us. Like the law exists, but I do as I please.

13/04/2025: Disaster. I go in asking if we can eat with only 30 minutes of time, they tell me yes and after 25 minutes nothing has arrived. So we decide to take things away. The total bill is 47.5 for two carbonaras and a soup and two waters, obviously also charging the cover charge. They justified themselves by saying that it was the waitress' fault, but it was the owner who made the bill. Ridiculous that having asked for cutlery we found ourselves with only forks, therefore unable to eat the soup. A shame. Change jobs like everyone is writing to you.

20/10/2024: Terrible lugar, evita a toda costa. Fui aquí para una comida familiar rápida. La comida era realmente horrible y la pasta estaba seriamente mal cocida (no al dente, el tagliatelle estaba pegado en un grumo duro y crujiente). Cuando le señalé esto al camarero, el propietario se acercó y literalmente comenzó a gritarnos - adultos y niños - en italiano e inglés roto con palabrotas en inglés utilizadas liberalmente en todo. Fue increíble. Solo estoy satisfecho de que muchos otros revisores hayan tenido una experiencia similar, así que no fuimos solo nosotros. Desafortunadamente, este lugar se beneficia de estar en la parte superior de un camino popular de la vía principal y su buena ubicación significa que el propietario puede ser un psicópata agresivo y la comida puede ser realmente horrible, pero siempre habrá un montón y un montón de turistas nuevos para polarizar.

01/12/2024: What can I say... Arriving on a Saturday morning at 10:00 and being told that they are closing and all there is are empty croissants and a few scones leaves me perplexed. The brioches were wet on the bottom, as if they had fallen into water. I didn't say anything because it seems to me that the owner didn't know where it was. The only positive note is the place with a sea view. Great potential with poor service.

18/12/2024: Non so cosa dire riguardo a questo bar,perché l'interno è bello e storico,ma 1€ e 60 per un caffè ☕️, mi sembra eccessivo.

23/09/2024: En vacances à Imperia, premier contact dans cet établissement pour un café long en prévision d'y retourner pour gouter leur cuisine. Hélas, vu l'accueil désagréable de la serveuse et de la caissière nous n'y avons jamais remis les pieds. Le café facturé quand même 3.00 € pour un café finalement standard.

03/11/2024: Siamo stati a mangiare cena con amici sabato 2 novembre. Il cibo era davvero ottimo, tanto pesce e porzioni molto abbondanti. I primi vengono serviti in grosse padelle. Il servizio è stato molto rapido nonostante il locale fosse completamente pieno. Anche il vino della casa non era male. Il prezzo confrontato alla qualità e quantità del cibo è molto onesto. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

28/09/2024: Attesa di 1 ora perché hanno sia tavoli fuori che dentro. Andrebbe diminuito il numero di tavoli o aumentato il numero del personale. Cibo abbondante e buono.

05/04/2025: After many years I manage to return to my favorite bar in all of Portofino. And luckily, nothing has changed! Splendid aperitif, clean place and super qualified staff. Last but not least, I'm thrilled to know that that beautiful, ice-eyed alpha male is still in this bar.

05/04/2025: Magnificent place in the heart of Portofino, fantastic waiters, especially the blond one with the mustache and blue eyes to whom I left the number! Spritz and aperitif at a fair price and excellent quality, I will be back!

05/04/2025: The rooms were dirty, the fridge didn't work, the tub had a pee yellow color which revealed the poor cleanliness of the place. The service was kind and courteous, if it weren't for the food, which was extremely poor, with a meat sauce that tasted like fish, dry pasta and an embarrassing second course, with only three tiny sausages and a lot of green peas. The location is in the middle of nowhere, far from the sea and in the middle of a chaos of houses, depriving us of the view. A holiday to forget!

17/04/2025: We kwamen met onze vier kinderen eten. Zoontje met zware voedselallergie mocht zijn eigen allergeenvrije voeding niet nuttigen, zelfs na onze uitleg dat hij niets op restaurant kan eten omwille van ernstige risico’s bij het eten van verkeerde voeding. Dat ondanks dat we met de andere 5 gezinsleden wel bestelden. We hebben de zaak verlaten. Zeer onvriendelijke service. Houden geen rekening met allergenen.

17/03/2025: Rude, aggressive owner, place to avoid and not to return

10/03/2025: We stopped today for lunch before doing the shopping. The toasts were fine, but once I got home while I was writing down my expenses I realized that I was given €10 less in change. A very young girl at the checkout. Shopping paid with a debit card, coffee at the bar with coins and lunch with the only full €50 in cash I had, so it couldn't have been lost in any other transactions other than this one, or even around because I never opened my wallet again. I attach a photo of the receipt in which you can clearly see that the amount I gave was not marked on the cash register, but the receipt was made as if I had paid the right amount. This doesn't bother me, practically everyone does it to "waste less time"; but if one isn't good at accounts perhaps it's time to waste those two extra seconds and have the cashier tell you how much change should be given. And no, I didn't count the change at the register as if I were a sergeant because I generally expect whoever is in front of me to be able to do theirs. Lesson learned, never trust anyone again. (Just because there are always those who only understand what they want to understand, I am NOT accusing the place of conscious theft. But if in doubt, if you go, count the rest).

29/03/2025: 4 people entered, horrible and cold coffee paid €1.20, rude and rude owner does not serve the tables but makes some exceptions...., first and last experience in this highly recommended place.

25/03/2025: I completely agree with the people who have left negative reviews. The owner, rude, unpleasant, annoyed and arrogant, should dedicate himself to something else and not be in contact with customers. I would also add that the place is dark and desolate, the aperitif is poor, I entered by mistake and I will never do so again. I wonder how it's still open....
