You can also sit outside if the weather permits, as the street and Piazza Pia are closed to traffic on that side. It goes without saying that everything was delicious, but the top score goes to Rita's tiramisu, which isn't the usual one served in a glass, but a portion on a plate. I didn't photograph it because I didn't have time! Am I biased? Try it...

02/11/2025: Very spacious, clean, and well-furnished restaurant with a huge parking lot. The staff is courteous but not particularly attentive. As noted in other reviews, the service is this restaurant's weak point: the order was taken as soon as we entered, but the food arrived too staggered and after several requests. The fried pizzas with sauces and the homemade cacio e pepe sfogiatine were good. The spaghetti alla gricia and the trofie alla boscaiolo were excellent. The pizzas were also good, although, in my opinion, smaller than average. For a few appetizers at the center of the table, a pizza or a first course, some desserts, and drinks, we spent €24 per person. I would return only if the service improved.

25/09/2025: I had to wait 30 minutes to get a sandwich and a beer, even though it was off-peak time (12:50) and there was no one in line. But then again, it was the Rome derby, and it was more important to follow the match on my tablet. Furthermore, the burly guy at the kiosk is incredibly ignorant. He wanted me to eat standing up even though there were empty seats at the counter ("They're for people having coffee, otherwise how am I supposed to do it") and empty tables ("And what if someone makes a reservation?"). In the end, he took pity on me and let me eat my sandwich on a rusty iron table. Hygiene is also poor, as the place where they prepare the sandwiches is full of flies and midges, which isn't a good sign. If you value yourself and your self-esteem, avoid this place. When I write negative reviews, I do so for one sole purpose: if you're good and capable, you should thrive; if you're not, you should quit and change careers, given the overwhelming competition. Unfortunately, most people don't think like me. Update: I appreciate your polite response. I'll try again next year.

06/11/2025: The food here is good: the meat is excellent, displayed at the butcher's counter, perfectly cooked, the sandwiches are excellent, the idea of ​​customizing the sandwiches is a nice touch, and the bruschetta is also excellent. It's a shame that the ambiance is a bit vintage, with its various mixed selections giving it an exotic flavor but lacking any real personality. I think the selection needs to be explored further, and the beer selection is also limited (a real shame). The service is decent, neither praise nor disgrace, but for the quality of the food, I'd go back with my eyes closed.

The croissants are truly excellent: the pastry is light, fragrant, and crispy, with a soft texture inside that's hard to find elsewhere. You can see and taste the care taken in their preparation: no artificial flavors, no excessive sweetness, but a perfect balance that highlights the quality of the ingredients. It's the kind of croissant that makes you start the day with a smile or makes you want to stay again the next day just to rediscover that flavor. The place has a pleasant, welcoming atmosphere, with attention to detail. The staff is kind, smiling, and helpful: you can tell they want to make their customers feel good, and this attention is evident in every little detail, whether it's a leisurely breakfast, a mid-morning break, or even just a quick coffee, here every moment takes on a different flavor. It's one of those places you remember and, above all, want to return to. Highly recommended.

The old grotto has been delighting us with its specialties for years... thanks to Ernesto, who is always available and attentive to his customers, it's as if he were welcoming us into his home every time... the pizza is truly delicious, as only you know how, and the place is very well-kept, welcoming, and charming... 22/08/2025: We waited forever to eat. We had an appetizer that included fries, and these fries arrived at 10:00 PM when we'd ordered them at 8:30 PM despite constant reminders to the kitchen. The timing of the courses was terrible! The appetizer arrived after an hour in batches, so everyone ate for themselves (without the fries). There were three of us at the table, and while I was eating my appetizer, my first course arrived, while the other two ate 20 minutes later. Anyway, the fries were excellent!!!!!!

09/11/2025: Gelato shop with a good selection of Sicilian flavors and more. Small specialties like arancini in various versions. A pleasant outdoor area for drinks. Friendly owners. A special highlight is that they offer their products year-round, not just in the summer.

10/10/2025: If my uncle Gianni from Castelvetrano were still here, he would have made Gelateria Sicily a meeting place for the "Famigghia." We've been going there for a few years, and month after month, season after season, they never cease to amaze us with new additions, updates, and improvements. After gelato, granitas, and pastries, superbly prepared by Maestro/Chef Francesco, today we tried the latest addition, the Sicilian aperitivo, with a magnificent Spritz, prepared by Barwoman Alessia!!! Go for it, always on point.
