02/05/2026: I dined here last night. The staff was attentive and friendly, and the food was good. However, the restaurant is absolutely not suitable for celiacs: there are no gluten-free options, not even the most basic ones like packaged bread. This is an area that definitely needs improvement.

02/05/2026: Very nice atmosphere, large dining room, but the food leaves much to be desired. A platter of fried food seemed reheated. The gnocchi with ragù sauce originated far away (see photo). The parmesan and arugula were rubbery. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare, but it was brought raw (see photo). The bill was reasonable, and the staff were very friendly. It might be okay for an evening, but not much else.

01/06/2026: A wonderful discovery in the heart of Lavinio! The location, directly on the sea and near the square, makes this restaurant very pleasant in itself, but the real added value is its history and personality. The walls are adorned with numerous sonnets written by the owner, which can be read during dinner, making the atmosphere even more original and engaging. The service was quick and attentive, while the dishes truly won us over thanks to generous portions, quality ingredients, and unique offerings, meticulously crafted in both presentation and flavor. The desserts were also excellent, a perfect end to a truly satisfying dinner. The quality/price ratio was absolutely fair for what was offered. A place worth trying, and one we will definitely return to. Highly recommended!

30/05/2026: Weekend lunch. There were six of us, two of whom knew the place from previous visits. The food was excellent, the house wine (white), and the terrace with a sea view was well-ventilated.

04/07/2026: Shameful! They charged us €60 for two sea bream!!!! It was also extremely dry and not particularly fresh or even of high quality. It was a small portion; I don't know how they weighed 1kg of fish; maybe it was 1kg if you include the potatoes! The waiter was quite rude; we will never return, only to be mocked and robbed like this.

28/06/2026: We spent a day at Lido La Tirrena and accidentally booked a table at this restaurant. The place is beautiful, being right on the beach; the service was impeccable; the value for money was excellent, and the dishes were all plentiful and excellent! Special mention goes to the head waiter Silvia and the owner and chef Alessandro, whom we had the pleasure of meeting on the occasion!

Sandro and Marina, longtime owners of the renowned Fogher in Anzio, run a restaurant that has been captivating their customers with professionalism and heart for nearly 40 years with passion, experience, and extraordinary dedication. Their presence makes every visit special, as their love for their craft and attention to detail is immediately evident. From traditional seafood cuisine to wood-fired pizzas, every dish tells a story of tradition, quality, and authenticity. The aroma of the oven, the freshness of the ingredients, and the meticulous preparation make every course memorable. Le Ancore is more than just a restaurant, it's a true institution in Lavinio Mare: a place where time seems to stand still and where you can rediscover the pleasure of good food, served with a smile and that rare ability to make every guest feel at home. Personally, I opted for a seafood salad followed by a delicious fried calamari parcel accompanied by focaccia. What struck me about this place is that everything seems stuck in the '80s, when everything was better and going to a restaurant was a great event for the whole family. We recommend this experience to anyone who wants to savor the true essence of Italian seafood cuisine, accompanied by an excellent wood-fired pizza, in an environment rich in history, passion, and tradition. A well-deserved five stars.

15/06/2026: Booked online. Nice building in front of the hotel where you can have breakfast. Clean beach with cleaning staff. Small children's area, bar outside the building where you can eat under furnished gazebos. Parking available for an additional €5. I'll definitely be back.

20/12/2025: Returning after a few years, I rediscovered an excellence that offers incredible flavors. Every bite is a journey where the taste catapults you to the places where the raw ingredients lived. The homemade bread, the combinations and cooking methods that bring out the best in every dish. A unique restaurant in the area and beyond, the price is fair for the quality it offers. The best for meat.

30/05/2026: Besides the best pizza in Anzio and the surrounding area, the service and availability are impeccable! The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. We've been coming here every week!
