06/04/2025: A very nice sandwich bar located in the center of Gaeta. On Saturday evenings there is always karaoke. Excellent food, staff always friendly. It is also very convenient for parking.

03/06/2025: Truly a superlative experience in every sense: for the quality of the dishes, the kindness and helpfulness of the waiters, the speed of service and the location! We have been going to this restaurant for years and I must say that every time they try to change the dishes on the menu: this time I wanted to try the pasta "Il Barone" with octopus which was really excellent, others tried another pasta dish "Il Borgo" which was equally good. And what about the fried pizza (the nuvolette), the aubergine meatballs, the grilled filleted sea bream (it was a large portion!!) and the mozzarella in carrozza? We devoured everything in a short time... Prices absolutely in line with the location and quality! However, I feel I must give one piece of advice: book in advance and try to arrive between 7:30 pm and 8:00 pm at the latest!

01/06/2025: Central location and easy to reach on foot. It offers a beautiful view of Gaeta. Good food and the staff is always kind and ready to satisfy the requests of the customers. To try and return with friends and relatives.

02/05/2025: Servizio scarsissimo, titolari o personale molto antipatico. "attendete in fila oltre la pedana" una cosa assurda: significava attendere sotto il sole. Sarebbe più pratico e normale far sedere le persone, prendere le ordinazioni e poi far pagare. Invece, incassano subito e ti trattano come numeri. Il cibo di scarsa qualità. Tielle molto mediocri e senza sapore.

02/05/2025: Disappointing experience: we arrived at 8.35pm with two little girls excited about the idea of ​​eating ice cream, but the welcome was anything but warm. The sales assistant replied coldly: “We are closed, we close at 8.30pm”. No kindness, no attempt at mediation. The result? Two deeply disappointed little girls. Besides the fact that it was Friday and on Google they wrote that they close at 9pm. I invite the management to reflect on the quality of the service offered in this store. A marketing and hospitality course for staff would be strongly recommended. I also read the manager's responses to some negative reviews: unprofessional tones and defensive attitudes. Also in this case, a Customer Care course would be highly suitable for improving the management of customer relationships. It's a shame, because sometimes it doesn't take much to transform a negative experience into a positive memory. Never again.

30/03/2025: I was here today with my girlfriend and we tasted one of the best ice creams we've ever tried!!! (and generally we look for ice cream shops with quality ingredients with the origin of the ingredients indicated and with ice cream counters in wells) We took a cup of 3 flavors (organic blood orange, Madagascar chocolate and Sicilian mango) and one of 4 flavors (same fantastic chocolate, two types of creams, one with almonds and the other with vanilla, chocolate and hazelnuts and finally the mango which was also fantastic) plus the cream which you pay for separately (and I usually don't get it) but it said "made with fresh milk and whisked" and I wanted to try it.... Really it was worth it!! I can only compliment the quality of every single flavor with the ability to make each ingredient taste more than sugar+flavors as sometimes happens in other ice cream shops. Applause to the girl who was alone at work at that moment, but who managed to kindly manage the queue that had formed

19/05/2025: Siamo arrivati al ristorante x caso… abbiamo pranzato e poi visto l ottimo pasto cenato ..accoglienza ottima come fossimo di famiglia sia noi che la nostra piccola pelosetta ..la signora Anna Rita e suo marito Antonio estremamente gentili cosa rara di questi tempi.. ci hanno invitato a visitare il loro ex convento adibito all accoglienza il giorno dopo luogo storico e suggestivo che stanno cercando di preservare cn tutte le loro forze… persone rare consiglio vivamente

18/05/2025: Abbiamo incontrato il ristorante quasi per caso ed è stata una piacevolissima esperienza. I punti forti sono sicuramente la cucina e soprattutto l’accoglienza dei proprietari. Dopo un pranzo siamo tornati anche per la cena e le impressioni sono state confermate. Consigliamo vivamente l’esperienza.

14/01/2025: Andato a Gaeta per vedere le luminarie e staccare un pò la spina..spinti dalla pubblicità in giro per il centro e sotto consiglio del proprietario del B&b decidiamo di andare a provare "la Cocina di Popolla" per cena. Essendo una sera di Gennaio ci accomodiamo nella sala interna ma ha spazio anche esterno. Locale gradevole ed accogliente , servizio altrettanto cortese e attento alle richieste. Appena entrati come benvenuto ci danno una sorta di "Bun" con scarole, per antipasto ho provato dei gamberi in tempura e una mayonese a limone fatta da loro e come primo un pacchero con polpo e olive nere. Riassumendo il tutto era gradevole, (maggiormente i paccheri e la loro mayonese notevole) ma tutte e tre le pietanze provate avevano un unico comune denominatore : Troppo Condimento! .. Contando che i prezzi per i primi sono anche un poco sopra la media, bisognerebbe aspettarsi anche pietanze "sopra la media" per fare un upgrade" e giustificare il tutto. Punto di vista che ho espresso anche allo Chef il quale è presente e gira sovente tra i tavoli, cordiale e simpatico.

21/04/2025: Se devo dare un giudizio sul cibo? non saprei perché a ma la pena ho assaggiato la mozzarella. Accolti con isterismo dalla proprietaria e cacciati sempre con isterismo da quest’ultima. Il motivo? Seduti da più di un’ora, senza aver mangiato nulla e aver perso una mattinata.
