16/10/2025: My husband and I stopped at Bar dei Cerchi for a coffee break. I indulged in a sfogliatella riccia, while my husband opted for a ciambella—everything was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the prices were reasonable. This bar is located very close to the Circus Maximus and the Mouth of Truth, and if you're looking for a break, I highly recommend it.

04/10/2025: We ate lunch for two today. We asked for water and wine and were told verbally, without a menu for either food or wine, "Okay, I'll bring a bottle." And I... yes, okay, but what wine do you have? They listed three and I chose one (without knowing the price)... then the owner came over and asked us if we wanted an appetizer for two and okay without seeing the menu. The appetizer was certainly plentiful, but we didn't know how much it would cost... considering we were on Via Lucrezia Romana and not in Circeo. Average quality: some samples were genuinely disappointing, made with mediocre ingredients (frozen shrimp with cocktail sauce, supermarket salmon, rubbery and tough octopus). The first courses were good, but not worth returning for, especially since the quantity was normal and the price was 18 euros each!!! The appetizers? 25 per person. Wine 15... with desserts... well, in the end, for two, 110 euros with the discount! For which I obviously thank you. Otherwise it would have been 126 euros.

22/08/2025: Let's talk about the food first, otherwise it would seem like a negative review, and it's NOT. The food is good, Grandma's, Mom's cooking, tasty and inviting. It's a sign that the chef-owner is also an artist, and that's reflected in the cuisine. Gnocchi with sheep's milk sauce are very good and flavorful. Turkey strips with peppers, melon, and peach are sooo good, with contrasting flavors, but they're delicious and quickly eaten. The only small flaw is that the portions are goldfinch-sized. The atmosphere is welcoming for what a country shack can offer. The band playing folk songs and Roman songs makes for great company. Everyone is friendly and down-to-earth; you're among very warm people. You feel good and have a different, fun, and song-filled day. As soon as you arrive, you're immersed in the idea of ​​having arrived on a piece of land belonging to a friend who remembered he had a dilapidated shack in the countryside and hasn't been there for 20 years. Tall grass, torn tarps, piled-up crates and pallets. Some of the masonry is crumbling and broken. Pretend it's a poorly maintained landfill. At least the eating area is reasonably affordable and clean. If you're one of those snobbish types, this isn't for you. You need to be able to hang out with friends and ignore the mess around you.

18/08/2025: Outstanding place, special atmosphere! We went for dinner on Saturday and had a wonderful meal. The gnocchi with sheep's milk sauce were excellent, as were the baked potatoes. The owner was very friendly and approachable.

15/06/2025: Very welcoming pizzeria, run by the owner Pina who is an excellent hostess. Good pizzas with ingredients that are not of the highest quality but still very tasty. The fried foods are very good. The coffee is not good. I recommend the place for an evening or for a birthday.

25/07/2025: In our case, we stayed in the suite, located above the Borguetto Bistro bar. It was a huge room with a large balcony. The service was excellent, and it was wonderfully quiet.

29/07/2025: De camino al Panteón, nos topamos con este auténtico restaurante familiar. Somos una familia de cuatro y pedimos pasta y pizza hecha a mano del menú, seguido de tiramisú y vin santo. Cada plato tenía sabores fantásticos. El servicio era excelente y el vino de mesa era increíble. Incluso el aceite de chile casero era extremadamente sabroso. Recomendamos encarecidamente este lugar, ya IT es una excelente relación calidad-precio en las inmediaciones del Panteón. Volveremos la próxima vez cuando volvamos de nuevo.

05/09/2025: I asked if it was possible to order a portion of white rice with oil and parmesan. It cost €6 (and I ordered a takeaway), which seems like a really high price. My colleague also ordered a sandwich: it was dry and the ingredients weren't high-quality. She didn't eat it.

08/05/2025: Dalla location al cibo, alla gentilezza del personale dò 10. Cibo ottimo e con ingredienti locali, caserecci. Nota di merito al cameriere Lorenzo che si è preso cura di noi con professionalità ed a avuto anche attenzione per il mio bassotto, cosa non del tutto scontata.

26/04/2025: Siamo stati a pranzo il 25 aprile, posto molto carino e informale, le materie prime scelte e la cura nella realizzazione dei piatti dimostrano l’amore ed il piacere dei proprietari e dei cuochi nell’accogliere la clientela. Cibo di ottima qualità al giusto prezzo, abbiamo anche gradito l’impegno che Andrea ha messo nell’accomodarci con il seggiolino per mia figlia di un anno, nonostante il locale fosse pieno in occasione del giorno di festa. Quando torneremo in zona verremo di certo a mangiare di nuovo qui.

25/04/2025: Se si è alla ricerca di un ristorante familiare e con uso di ottime materie prime del territorio… Questo è il posto giusto ! Prodotti ricercati a KM 0 mixati tra di loro in modo armonico e delicato Chef giovane, preparato e sempre alla ricerca di nuovi sapori ! Che dire ?! Un’eccellenza in tutto ! Prezzo assolutamente adeguato alla qualità che viene servita… Servizio ottimo tipico di un ristorante a conduzione familiare ( anche oggi 25 aprile ). Se vuoi sentirti a casa e mangiare bene, consiglio vivamente questo posto P.s Il Limoncello fatto in casa è spettacolare

02/11/2025: Guys, I don't know how a place like this is even in business! I understand maybe those who invested and tried, but NO! NO NO NO! I don't think I've ever eaten so badly... I hate to write bad reviews, I usually don't, but since eating out is a sacrifice these days, you have to be respectful of those who come and spend money! You can't show up with food like that, flavorless, meaningless! Those poor kids in the dining room are probably 15 or 16 years old, thrown around like that, it's obviously not their fault! I'm sorry, but I hope you change everything as soon as possible!

02/11/2025: We went to this restaurant because it was the only one still available in the area. Our expectations, although already low, were disappointed. The restaurant seats about 40 people, making it quite small, and yet the service from the wait staff was lacking. We had to ask repeatedly for what we needed. The menu is quite varied and offers traditional dishes that encourage you to book, but the execution is very bland. Despite the dishes being reported to the wait staff as inedible, no one bothered to satisfy the customer, even understanding what the problem was. It was an experience not to be repeated because, although the prices would be fair in a normal context, in this case they were too high for the quality of the ingredients (which, to be fair, was extremely poor). After reading other reviews, I agree with many people who have negatively rated this restaurant. I hope this serves as constructive criticism to improve even the impossible.

20/08/2025: Massimo is now our trusted restaurant and pizzeria, everything is good, good fish, excellent meat, nice outdoor seating, whoever brought it always left me happy.

17/08/2025: Good pizza for lunch, delivered quickly. The only downside was having to pay different amounts on different days for the same menu.

12/09/2025: I've lived in the area and have known Bar Chiaroni practically forever, a landmark for the entire neighborhood. It has been renovated over the years and is now a charming bistro with plants, books, and a piano for patrons to enjoy. The staff at the counter are young, courteous, and friendly, and the food is excellent—don't miss Mariella's tarts!
