22/08/2025: I dined here with my family a couple of times in July 2025, and it was a delightful revelation. The fish is simply prepared, and the traditional dishes are perfect in flavor and presentation, with no frills or frills, like the "thousand salt pans" or the bizarre combinations that often serve to hide less-than-fresh or poor-quality fish. In short, they have quality fish and know how to treat it. The place is small but welcoming. The only drawback is the location: it's off-center and faces a street without even a sidewalk; a post-dinner stroll is not recommended.

21/08/2025: A regular at the restaurant, "Le Lanterne" has been a regular stop every summer with my family for years now, and it continues to be a convivial occasion characterized by delicious food, extremely courteous staff, and a welcoming atmosphere.

06/03/2026: Room is big and clean. Strong WI-FI and good shower. Boiler , mini fridge and toiletries are available in the room. Breakfast was excellent. Friendly and attentive staff. The down side is the location. No supermarket, pharmacy nearby the hotel. Shuttle bus to the city is provided with a fee. The Muratella train station is 10 mins by foot. To reach the city takes approximately 50 mins.

28/02/2026: A good stay, comfortable beds. The building and installation in general kind of old. My room connected to next one and I could literally hear the other person breathing. Thin walls of 1960. Big pool. Friendly staff.

25/02/2026: Great place, good prices and good service!

08/02/2026: A fairly well-known neighborhood pizzeria. The pizza is good, though not exceptional. If you like thin crust pizza, it's still a good value. When the place is very busy, I recommend eating in the entrance area because the large room, when crowded, can be noisy and difficult to talk to.

29/07/2025: Wonderful visit to Ristorante Cecilia Metella! Family friendly, family run, and homemade family quality. We highly recommend visiting this wonderful restaurant if you’re in the area, or walk across from the Catacombs di San Sebastien. Cross the road, head to right and up the driveway. The staff were super friendly and fun. I felt like my grandpa was serving us, with his grandpa humour. Couldn’t stop laughing at his grandpa jokes. The food was amazing. I feel like this was my most authentic Italian pasta and cuisine during our stay at Rome. We ate outside on the their terrace. There were lots of tables and couod get quite busy. However, our visit was just right in terms of noise from other tables. No need to shout, but still enjoyed the energy of the restaurant with families and friends enjoying lunch out on a Sunday.

23/07/2025: Amazing lunch experience under the vines. Meals and wine were superb, service was first class and atmosphere was next level fabulous. Really enjoyed. Highly recommend.

20/09/2025: I celebrated my son's birthday just yesterday. There were 9 of us, and they had a great time. We ate excellent pizza, and the dinner was cheap! The owner is a wonderful, kind, and helpful person. I recommend it.

09/08/2025: Good italian restaurant with many roman playe options of pasta pizza and meat. All plates Cooked well and waiting time was very reasonable.

03/01/2026: The entrance doesn't do justice to this restaurant's atmosphere, cuisine, and impeccable service. The difference was definitely made by the attentive service, which revisited the menu to accommodate my vegetarian requests, and offered a local wine and a truly delicious olive oil. If you're wandering the alleys of Gaeta, I recommend seeking out this gem!

24/10/2025: I went to this place to celebrate my retirement. The choice couldn't have been better. The dinner was perfect. The quality of the food was difficult to find, and the service was absolutely professional, yet with a touch of kindness. Kindness is what all guests look for when they want to share these moments in their lives. I highly recommend this place for celebrating important events.

11/12/2025: The pizza was too thin and tough, perhaps with a small amount of dough. They let out too much dough, which is why it wasn't appreciated. The appetizer was unsatisfactory, and the dessert mix was to be avoided. All of this was out of line with the cost and quality.

11/03/2026: The location is nice, it has an outdoor swimming pool with a colorful and rustic atmosphere, the restaurant tends to be elegant and good for parties, the price is normal, the prices are normal and too expensive, you can go there without spending a fortune if you stay basic without expanding with the menu rating 7.5

08/12/2025: Dinner, both gluten-free and gluten-free, was truly tasteless, neither in appearance nor substance. The person who served us was truly impolite, bordering on rude. What a shame.

15/10/2025: We booked for two nights, but after the first, we fled due to the unbearable smell of mold and dampness that lingered in the room, if you can call it that. Room 9 is a small building nestled in the vegetation, far from the main building. It has a glass entrance covered from the inside by curtains (it feels like sleeping in a shop window!), no bidet, and is very run-down. The owner offered us a room change, but we preferred to leave after finding a room in another hotel in the village. A terrible experience.

03/10/2025: Our stay was okay. Not bad but definitely not what we expected. We stayed two nights (as part of our walk along the Via Francigena) and I would not stay here again. Our room and bed were nice. Dinner was good but not great and it took forever (30+ minutes between 1st and 2nd course) and all our food was warm but not hot. The breakfast had a lot of pastries, store-bought yogurt, some soft apples and not much else - not even eggs or granola (I question the whole zero-kilometer food concept they promote). Overall, we didn’t really feel much warm hospitality- we honestly did not even get a “welcome” when we arrived or a “thank you” when we paid. (Although the young lady who did breakfast was very friendly). If you stay, I would avoid the meal options. As a pilgrim walking the VF, it’s not worth the extra kilometers.

14/01/2026: The Carbonara was a 16-euro trip to heaven. It was delicious beyond description.

13/01/2026: Small portions. A small piece of polenta is considered an appetizer, but it's priced like a main course. A glass of wine for 10 euros is absurd. There are better places downtown at these prices. Never again.
