23/09/2025: The atmosphere is discreet, let's say nice, but the menu, in my humble opinion, is a bit too limited. Perhaps to be quicker and more precise, I don't know. To me, the dishes seemed rather limited and reductive. The food was decent, I must say, typical Roman fare. Typical desserts, good service.

14/09/2025: A delightful place. We ate with friends on our way back from the bunker, and found the dishes to be tasty, sophisticated, and plentiful. The tables were carefully set with "grandmother's" plates and glasses. The special features were the cups, saucers, and spoons. The girls serving were helpful, smiling, and yet professional. The place was packed, but they made sure we sat down. A wonderful experience, one to repeat.

12/11/2025: A magnificent place with an old-world feel. Excellent and hearty home cooking. Appetizer: bruschetta with tomato, beans, eggplant, peppers, cured meats, cheese, and a fantastic tripe. Two enormous baking dishes: one with gricia and the other with amatriciana, both fantastic. Four carafes of house wine. Water, coffee, liqueur, and sweets. All for the cost of pizza, supplì, and beer in Rome. An ideal stop for a nice motorcycle ride. Long live Signora Mimma!

06/11/2025: I'm giving it 5 stars only because it's the best I can give. The pizzas are a masterpiece: incredibly light, with truly top-quality ingredients, and the result is exquisitely delicious. I wish they'd open in Malta, where I live, so I could go every other day. Seriously, you have to try it to believe it.

15/11/2025: It was the second time I went, not by choice. I wonder how it's possible to have a lukewarm pizza delivered to your table, fresh from a wood-fired oven, and a small one at that. If you want the classic Roman pizza that overflows the plate, that's not possible here. You can only get a larger pizza if you pay extra. The toppings were truly lacking. Among other things, I asked for a pizza with lots of tomato and little mozzarella, and I paid 0.70 cents for the extra tomato (which wasn't there), but no discount for the lack of mozzarella. We ordered simple suppli (plain, not with 'nduja), which arrived burnt and spicy. I didn't eat them, but the people I was with were happy with them. We didn't even mention it... luckily, there were no children with us. The benches were uncomfortable to sit on and too close together, and there wasn't even a paper placemat on the table. I think it's really unhygienic to put napkins and silverware directly on the table. The bathroom is located above a staircase... I think they have a bathroom on the ground floor too, I didn't ask... for those who can't climb stairs.

20/10/2025: Very negative experience, platter for two, cold cuts and cheese 16 euros a slice of everything so for one, then ordered the first courses which never arrived after 2 hours we left and like us many other people and above all the owner did not even apologize, I do not recommend it

08/11/2025: We tried this Peruvian restaurant for the first time, and the Food was rea tasty and so good. We tried the plate called ‘Pollo con Verduras con chaufa’ Highly recommend for anyone who loves to try new food, and someone who like a change 😍😍✨❤️❤️

28/11/2025: A very charming and well-kept place, with exceptional Roman pizza, crispy and generously topped, fresh and seasonal ingredients, classic and creative recipes, artisanal fried foods, meticulous attention to the ingredients used, craft beers and natural wines, and a young, professional, and well-mannered team. A true landmark in Ostia for over 30 years.

12/07/2025: Lively and unconventional theater The theater is very charming, with an intimate and evocative atmosphere. The auditorium is welcoming, with good visibility and acoustics. We saw Hybris with Antonio Rezza: a beautiful show, completely unconventional, captivating, and original. A perfect example of the bold, unconventional programming that characterizes Il Vascello. We had a wonderful evening, enjoying quality theater and an environment that truly fosters the artistic experience. Highly recommended for those who love lively, experimental, and unconventional theater.

16/11/2025: The food was poor, terrible ice cream with a strange aftertaste, and the ricotta and chocolate chip tart was very hard, probably made at least a week ago. The location was unwelcoming.

20/10/2025: It's no longer the place we frequented so often over the years. Eleven of us had lunch there last October 19th, and not a single one of us appreciated the food. Tonnarelli (half-portion portions), cacio e pepe (with pepper only) because they'd seen the cheese in passing, but there was plenty of cooking water in the center of the plate. Mezze maniche carbonara, where each plate was topped with no more than 3-4 strips of guanciale or pancetta. For the main course, beans (no more than 20-25 per plate) with pork rinds, of which the luckiest of us found 3. It was definitely our last experience at Filu'.

07/12/2025: My negative rating is strictly related to what happened this morning: I walked in saying "good morning" (as politely requires) and noticed two baristas laughing at me (the reason was obvious, given my complexion). To avoid any disappointment, I asked for what I wanted, paid, and left. The cashier and another barista were courteous in serving me and wishing me a good day, but otherwise I'm very disappointed.
