25/12/2023: L’occasione è stata il pranzo di Natale 2023. Location: la sala è risultata rumorosa e sovraffollata, sacrificando alcuni tavoli posizionati in posizione infelice, di passaggio dei titolari che portavano le vivande talvolta urtando le sedie dei clienti, senza scusarsi. La sala era fredda, come rilevato da più di un cliente, con corrente fredda proveniente dalla zona cucina. Era presente una stufa a legno non particolarmente significativa, e, a dire dei titolari, 2 split inverter, il tutto evidentemente insufficiente. La situazione era peggiorata dalla mancanza di una “bussola”di entrata con doppia porta, quindi ogni apertura dell’ingresso portava con sè aria fredda dall’esterno. Nulla è stato fatto per cercare almeno di dare l’impressione di attenuare il problema. Menu: fisso a base di carne ma sufficiente, senza picchi di rilievo. Quantità buona. Purtroppo da segnalare la presenza di cibi sgradevolmente freddi, come la frittata alle erbe tra gli antipasti, i ravioli alle erbe, il contorno di verdure…cotte (sic!), il dolce finale quasi gelido anche per un semifreddo e a mio avviso fuori luogo nel contesto invernale. Caffè: evitato in quanto preparato con cialde e con un’unica macchina in grado di predisporne uno alla volta, e quindi servito alla spicciolata anche in tavolate numerose e ormai tiepido. Tempi: dilatati. Titolari: cordiali. Prezzo: sarebbe adeguato, ma senza gli inconvenienti descritti. In generale, il locale e la sua organizzazione appaiono più adatti al contesto estivo, considerati gli spazi esterni in campagna, e ad occasioni informali, rispetto a eventi più impegnativi come pranzi di Natale o simili.

11/12/2023: During the cold season you are hosted in a room with few seats, the dishes are genuine even if our plate of tagliatelle with sausage and onions was quite salty. Decent wine, excellent bill. The managers are nice and friendly.

04/03/2024: I leave 3 stars of encouragement because the right rating would be 2.5. The environment was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We had no problem paying the bill separately and the food was good, in good quantity and at a good price. However there were a few slips that made our experience quite worse. First of all we waited an hour for the dishes to arrive (they all arrived approximately at the same time). The appetizer arrived after a good 40 minutes, and it's not clear to me why since they were just cold cuts and cheeses placed on a plate, therefore without any particular preparation. Unfortunately we found a hair in the cured meats. Furthermore, all the pieces of dairy cheese were made up of at least 1/3 rind, significantly decreasing the amount of cheese to be eaten, and adding the hassle of having to remove it, as it is inedible. As for the first courses, we took 2 carbonaras and 1 plate of gnocchi, which were good and about which I have no criticisms to raise. Instead, the pasta "al parini" (or something similar) had a hair inside, and was also spicy even though it wasn't specified on the menu. We didn't get the pizza because reading the reviews and seeing them in person, from other customers, they were not at all inviting, as well as quite small. Unfortunately there were several defects but it is certainly a restaurant with potential and worth giving a chance.

21/04/2024: Friendly staff but really on the ball... very slow service and there wasn't even much confusion. The quality of the food isn't great, we had two first courses, both tasteless and they also arrived a little cold. Tap water in a jug €3?? In short..

16/04/2024: Terrible cuisine on par with one canteen for German elderly people, It took two hours to eat 2 dishes...on a Tuesday evening.... The two dishes remained there as they were unworthy. Allergens and frozen/frozen products not reported and this already says a lot about transparency... The quality of the raw materials is discount-grade. Thank you for ruining this dinner for us, we had no demands of any kind, yet you managed to make us leave with hunger, anger and a lighter wallet

21/03/2024: ... spiacevole che ti lascia scontento. Chiedo un piatto piccolo di prosciutto, me ne arriva uno grande, vabbè. Sauris, teoricamente un alternativa valida al San Daniele, non sgradevole ma poco stagionato. L'oste si giustifica in un qualche modo. 13€. A San Daniele ne abbiamo pagati 12 per un 30 mesi fantastico. Chiediamo due calici di vino rosso di tipi diversi, indicati sulla lavagna esposta. La risposta è che non li ha, ma ha un Friulano (bianco) "veramente ottimo". Forse non vuole aprire due bottiglie. Poi scopro che costa pure di più. Quei pochi soldi non faranno diventare più povero né l'oste più ricco, e allora perché? Mistero.

20/03/2024: Neither art nor part. Completely improvised place. A rather disastrous and also expensive lunch. Cividale offers more and much better than this. I didn't take photos because I was ashamed to publish them. To be avoided

05/03/2024: Cenato bene, con piatti della tradizione friulano, personale molto gentile e disponibile ( avevamo freddo e siamo entrati mezz'ora prima della inizio cena)

03/03/2024: Locale in posizione centrale, a pochi passi dalla piazza e dal ponte del diavolo, elegante senza essere affettato. Servizio professionale e al tempo stesso cordiale senza leziosità. Buoni piatti della tradizione locale e apprezzabile scelta di vini. Prezzi congrui.

10/12/2023: Quiet and familiar environment, courteous and precise service, refined and delicate food. A place already visited in the past that meets expectations every time. Without a doubt it deserves a return.

18/08/2023: Delicious ice creams. Even the most "challenging" flavors are very light and fresh. Friendly and helpful staff.

28/02/2024: Ci siamo fermati in questo bel bar per fare aperitivo. Ottima l'idea di paninetti con affettati misti, e buona la birra austriaca TRUMER. Abbondante e buono anche lo spritz Aperol. Titolari disponibili e competenti servizio veloce

25/02/2024: We stopped in this place to have an aperitif, Aperol spritz TOP!!! Spectacular toasts, other friends of mine had ice cream which I would say was very good. RECOMMENDED very helpful owners, excellent table service 👍.

17/03/2024: Abbiamo passato una notte, prenotato a camera Est con vasca idromassaggio riscaldata privata, a vostra disposizione h24. Una vista spettacolare immersi nella natura di Cividale. Colazione ricca e accortezze che si fanno apprezzare: vino e birra di loro produzione trovati in camera e con la possibilità di portarli a casa. Voto 💯! Grazie al personale gentile e disponibile 🙏

14/03/2024: Posto molto bello. Ottima cantina vini veramente buoni. Cibo di buona qualità ma secondo me mancante di quel tocco in più…..servizio e simpatia ottimi. Ci ritorno

21/11/2023: Quick lunch after the walk to the Castelmonte sanctuary. Meat menu with typical local dishes. Fast service, friendly staff. Good dishes but nothing special.

26/12/2023: Being refused an order because a group of tourists is arriving and there won't be enough! How it's possible to favor some customers over another, too bad it looked good but I'll never know.
