Welcoming and clean place, friendly and fast staff. Very good dishes, local cuisine but also revisited with palate-pleasing variations. Overall, the prices are fair, considering the quantity and quality of the food. Recommended!

While visiting Cividale, I stopped for lunch at this tavern, just steps from the Devil's Bridge and just as close to the Celtic Hypogeum and the Lombard Temple. It's a fantastic location. It was a very pleasant little step back in time. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff is very helpful and attentive, and the service is very fast. I had the veal cheeks with mushrooms and polenta. Delicious.

We stopped for lunch at this trattoria and tried the plate of mixed stuffed tarts and their prosciutto—they were amazing! Then we indulged in the inevitable frico. Everything was delicious. A special mention for the service: there was only one waiter yesterday, and he was truly superb and made us feel truly pampered.

19/04/2026: Traditional cuisine restaurant located on Via Roma in the town of Venzone in the province of Udine in a rustic, informal and welcoming atmosphere where you can enjoy good typical Friulian dishes accompanied by excellent local wines with friendly and helpful service.
11/04/2026: April 2026. Everything was great: food, service, and ambiance. The only negative detail was the very high and unjustified price (€16) for a liter of unlabeled red wine (a 1-liter carafe) served at the table. What a shame.

Ristorante Pizzeria Alla Tessitura

03/05/2026: Really great spot in the suburbs of Udine. I was a bit skeptical because of the mixed reviews on Google, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pasta and desserts were excellent, and the service was super friendly. If you’re looking for an authentic place where the locals eat that won't break the bank, this is it.
