15/09/2025: A very nice restaurant, located on the seafront (with some tables set on the sand) and with a lovely atmosphere, thanks in part to the fairy lights everywhere. I found the fish to be of good quality, cooked equally well. The prices were absolutely fair. I would go back, and I highly recommend it.

08/02/2026: A huge counter, with 5 shelves, and it doesn't have a single vegan product. Not inclusive at all. The girl who served us was very kind and polite, but when our order arrived at the table there were no handkerchiefs.

20/12/2025: When you come to this country farmhouse, it doesn't feel like a restaurant, but rather like home. The cuisine has a traditional family flavor, and every dish conveys the history of this place with the same passion as always. There's no room for modernity; the anchovies are among the best I've ever eaten, the red risotto with clams is a dream, and the snails take you back to the flavors of Sunday family dinners. You enter through the kitchen, where everything begins, and you always leave through the kitchen, where everything ends. The service is attentive and courteous. No fuss, no cupboards overflowing with dishes and genuine wine from the hills, white or red! Tavern-style glasses, grandmother's dishes, and bland bread for the obligatory mopping up of the sardine sauce. If you're looking for substance and freshness, you must stop here and let yourself be guided through the menu, which is fixed and unvaried, yet astonishing in its deliciousness and simplicity. An evening concluded with a Romagna ciambella and a chat in the kitchen before reluctantly saying goodbye, knowing it would be a goodbye. 17/10/2025: At Gino il Matto, Thursday evenings have a one-stop menu... you can eat grilled sardines and risotto alle poveracce... as much as you want!! Everything is excellent! Oh, and there's even a donut at the end! The only downside is there's no piadina... But still, the bread is excellent!!!

15/03/2026: It's been a while since we've been, and I have to say they're like the best wines—they age and improve every year. The service is impeccable. The passatelli with shi drum, zucchini, and ginger is excellent. The fried food is always wonderful. The anchovy and cardoon cutlet is good and quite interesting, perhaps a tad overcooked. To finish, the nougat and red fruit parfait is very good, as is the coffee. Beautiful wine list. Very fair price.

09/03/2026: Our absolute favorite place in Riccione! The food and ingredients are top-quality, and the service is friendly, attentive, and very professional. Prices aren't cheap, but they're fully in line with the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the dishes. It's always a pleasure to recommend you and return!

27/01/2026: A pleasant evening with friends. Both the cheese-filled cappelletti and the mutton were delicious. You have to return to Merlo every now and then.

25/01/2026: Good, homemade food, a very casual and pleasant atmosphere for those who prefer informal dining. The portions aren't particularly large, which makes the prices a bit high. I'd happily go back, though.

20/09/2025: I needed breakfast and stopped here. The staff were really friendly. I had a brioche with mascarpone cream, which was truly excellent. You can choose from a variety of fillings. It's just a shame it's on a busy road. I'd love to come back to try other dishes and maybe have an aperitif.

10/02/2026: Beautiful location, nestled in the countryside. Excellent parking, but if it rains it becomes a disaster. Very comfortable atmosphere, very capable and friendly staff, good food, especially the first courses. On Sundays, prices are higher than those advertised during the week, but that's understandable, since the food is good. Excellent variety of very tasty pizzas. Clean restrooms. After some time, I was able to confirm what I wrote above. It also offers highly rated single and double room options. Cleanliness and comfort are paramount. And the prices are very affordable, too.

22/09/2025: We went there for dinner (2 people). There was nothing to complain about regarding the friendliness, the food was good value for money. The only flaw was the excessive wait time (almost an hour). They explained it by saying there was a problem in the kitchen. However, in my opinion, they should have rectified the situation by asking if we wanted to change the course. It can happen. The bill was fair for what we ate.
