A waiter with glasses practically pretended not to notice us.
At my second request, they sat us down. The prices were outrageous, the service was inattentive and rushed.
The pizza would be very good, but for the price and the service, it wasn't...
44 euros for two... 1 pizza, 1 first course, and two (low-quality) beers.
I'm sorry, but these gentlemen have forgotten the Romagna hospitality.
Never again.

The harbor lighthouse stretches right next to it....over time, it has been renovated compared to when everything was more rustic.
We passed by one morning and it was closed, but we stopped anyway since there are tables outside in the shade...a good coffee (drinked in the afternoon) while a variety of fish dishes or a simple aperitif liven up the evening.
Very youthful.

21/06/2026: We ate very well and spent very little. The atmosphere was simple, spacious, and perfectly cooled. I wouldn't have left. We escaped the heat that drives you crazy. Sometimes you have gold in your mouth and you don't know you've got it.

Excellent culinary knowledge and well-balanced dishes, impeccable waiter service and everyone was very friendly... top atmosphere, we requested a secluded table and were given the one at the back, practically outdoors and overlooking the beach... with a gentle breeze accompanying it. Well done everyone! Really! I will definitely be back 🫶🏻

06/07/2026: My boyfriend and I went to this restaurant last night, and I have to say that from the moment we sat down until we left, everything was excellent! Excellent service, a lovely and super courteous waiter.
Not to mention the dishes, fresh fish and attention to detail. I highly recommend it ⭐️

My husband and I stayed in Cervia for a week in early June and ate at Il Capitano three times.
The waiters were all very kind and helpful, and the food was simply amazing.
Anyone who visits Cervia should definitely eat at Il Capitano at least once.
And never forget, wherever you are: courtesy and respect are always based on reciprocity.
On our next visit to Cervia, we will definitely eat at Il Capitano again.

06/04/2026: A very chic place, perfect for an aperitivo. We had some really excellent non-alcoholic cocktails accompanied by a nice charcuterie board. The staff was very friendly.
16/12/2025: Finally, an aperitif that truly deserves its name! Excellent focaccias...superb gin and tonic, and top-notch service...can't wait to go back.
