05/08/2026: All the reviews for this restaurant are incomprehensible. The food is awful. The spare ribs are absolutely terrible, and I can make better pizza and burgers at home. The chicken burger is just a schnitzel sandwich, and all in all, this restaurant has nothing to do with Italy. It's comparable to a motorway service station.

17/05/2026: An honest trattoria in the center of Comacchio, one of only three places in the entire town with a wood-fired grill (from what we were told by the local shopkeepers). Home-style cooking, very well done. Vasco and Giulia take care of the kitchen and are very careful about choosing the right ingredients. The staff is friendly and makes you feel at home. Fresh fish is treated with respect. In the seafood appetizer, the cephalopods are steamed. The fried fish is fresh, plentiful, dry, and crispy. The grilled eel is truly delicious. The zuppa inglese deserves praise; the shape was a bit messy, but the flavor was perfect. The sponge cake is made by the owners' mother, who is in her nineties, and the recipe is the same as it used to be. I hope to return soon.

02/08/2026: We didn't have lunch at the restaurant, but on the beach. Seafood salad consisted of two pieces of salmon with onion, a mantis shrimp, two small fish, and three spoonfuls of cuttlefish. We all ordered the same thing, and no one liked it; the quality wasn't the best. One of the diners described it as a "very sad seafood salad." The salad and bread were okay, the wine good. Low price.

05/08/2026: We're from Vienna, I'm almost 60 years old, and we were in this establishment for exactly five minutes today. Given the heat, I wanted to sit on the side of the table, not in the middle. After asking a very friendly waitress if that was possible and receiving her confirmation, I headed towards the table I wanted. As I was about to sit at the furthest table, a waiter behind me snapped at me: "Two people are sitting here." (At a table that had been pushed right up against the furthest one, but there wasn't a breath of air.) Excuse me? Seriously, what's the point of that? Am I supposed to put up with that? Even the staff at a fast-food restaurant are more competent! Well, I guess they can get away with it with stupid tourists. As I've also seen in the reviews here, this is something that usually goes on there. They're used to speaking to (potential) customers like that. The replies from the person who can't take criticism to critical posts here even sound like threats to me. A gist of it: "I advise you to stop doing that." (Because otherwise?) What kind of businessperson speaks to customers like that? It's appalling! - Why does the reply to the posts only say "Sincerely" and not who is replying? I would advise you to stop doing that; it's unprofessional! I'm so glad I turned on my heel and left! And another thing: This rampant American nonsense of picking up guests at the door and forcing them to sit down wherever they would feel comfortable (e.g., in 38°C heat) should stop. It only looks like service, but in reality, it's just for the staff's convenience. Food: no idea Service: abysmal Atmosphere: needs improvement

04/08/2026: Good quality food and excellent value. The only downside is the service during busy times: on Saturday evening, we encountered a lot of confusion and long waits (we had to ask for a dish that had been left behind, which was then served twice by two different waiters). I highly recommend this place on weekdays or off-season to enjoy the experience to the fullest.

30/06/2026: We've been coming to Bagno Vela for 4 years, and it's become our second family. It's the ideal place for those seeking a welcoming, child-friendly environment. The facility is equipped with a pool and play area, perfect for fostering wonderful friendships among the kids and even among us parents! The staff is competent and always smiling: Guido is a delightful and kind gentleman, Patrizia always welcomes you with a unique sweetness, Massimo and Piero are exceptional, always on point and super helpful. A special thanks also goes to the talented chef in the kitchen: even though she's rarely seen, her talent is evident in every dish! The excellent aperitifs also deserve special mention. Thank you so much for the affection you show our children every day and for always making us feel at home. Highly recommended!

13/06/2026: We had lunch today, and I have to say everything was great. We had a portion of anchovy cutlets, which were exceptional. Then we had pizza, which was also good. The service was good and fast. The prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly, and the place was clean.

02/06/2026: Rather than the "feeding troughs" of Comacchio (greasy, expensive, and often not very fresh food), it's much better to order a pizza from La Margherita and enjoy it 50 meters away, sitting at the foot of the Trepponti Bridge. That said, the place is simple, family-run, and the staff is extremely friendly (almost too friendly). The pizza—frankly—isn't great. We ordered a pizza with vegetables that weren't grilled (in our opinion) but boiled or steamed, and the pizza dough wasn't exactly excellent, making the experience mediocre. However, for €8, you can't expect much. A so-so pizza for €8 is certainly better than dining in the town's tourist traps. Recommended

16/06/2026: We decided to try a new beach in Porto Garibaldi. I must honestly say that it was more of a flop than a flop. I already found it absurd to have to book three sunbeds online and pay in advance by credit card, as if we were in Sardinia. We had an aperitif and they handed us two tasteless spritzes without even a single crisp. Lastly, we were seated inside for lunch, and it was stiflingly hot against the boiling glass. The food was meager in quantity, and the wait was too long. We won't be returning. There are better beaches.

15/06/2026: The beach is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing, but there are improvements to be made. First of all, I personally didn't appreciate the option to reserve umbrellas and loungers via the app on the website: by requiring immediate payment, if there's a last-minute problem, you'll lose your money, including the €3 app service fee! Second improvement: poorly trained restaurant staff, long wait times (the place is too big for the available staff), and poor value for money: considering how much we spent, I'm not satisfied with what I ate. Also, if you order a Spritz for an aperitif, give her at least two chips and don't make her buy them! I don't think I'll be back.
